So, in Last Resort of Good Men, you're supposed to bring Dorian to the Gull and Lantern. I've done that. The entire ****** thing is empty, not a single soul. Exiting and entering again did nothing. Not even dialogue from Dorian.

Or, if you have the quest on active, set it to non-active, that worked for me.

I ended up leaving the area, loading back and taking it off my main quest tracker thing.  That worked for me

I had the same problem, went into the tavern and it's empty. Worked fine when I went out and came back in. Weird.

I can't seem to get this quest triggerd, mother giselle won't appear in the main hall. 

Though I even progressed till after the temple of mythal and still nothing. I wonder if I get more oppurtunities to improve my approval with dorian, yet I think it's already pretty high.

Going in as Dorian also worked for me. I had the empty building and exiting/entering twice didn't do anything until I switched to Dorian and entered.

I found that it wouldnt trigger when there was music playing but if you wait until whatever random soundtrack stops playing and then enter it would work.

Removing the quest as the active one and enter as Dorian solved it for me

Hmm.  I had no problem with this in my run-through, at any stage.  I'm glad though.  I really don't want another 'Velanna's Exile'.

Stupid bug. For a game that does not cost 5 eu there are too many bugs!

Had the same bug. Here is what I did to solve it.

1. Leave the area ( I fast traveled to a nearby hinterlands camp)
2. Unmark the quest.
3. Change party so it is ONLY you and Dorian.
4. Fast Travel to Redcliffe.
5. Select Dorian and enter the tavern as him.

I believe the issue preventing the cutscene from triggering was trying to enter with a full party. I combined all the steps listed and it worked but I think it may also work by changing your party to only include Dorian and the Inquisitor.

I did almost the same but I did not chose only me and Dorian in the party. It is nod required. I selected him and went into the inn as Dorian.

So I finally managed to get this problem solved!

 

My problem was that the tavern was empty, not that I couldn't trigger the quest. After trying all the million suggestions about whom to include in the party and which person to enter with etc etc, the solution that worked was to save INSIDE the tavern, close the game completely, and load up again. The cutscene started immediately upon loading.

 

Some notes:

- I only had Dorian in my party when I saved.

- I did not have Dorian's quest as my main; I had a different one.
