Hello there everyone  :) Well, my wife and I have DA:I pre-ordered and it will arrive tomorrow, but I've been reading soooooooo many complaints about bugs (many of which some are saying makes the game unplayable) and  wanted to inquire about the PS4 edition. I read some reviews saying the PS4 version had issues, but that those issues would be fixed with a patch on launch day. Is anyone playing the game on PS4? If so, how does it play? One thing I've been told, that I'm not so fond of is that the attack button is mapped to R2; can I change the controls in the options menu or is it stuck this way? Any information will help; thank you so much in advance.

p.s. My heart goes out to those (especially on PC) who are encountering glitches that are quite literally making the game unplayable  :crying:

I have a new PS4, first used yesterday, Nov 18th, and 1st game is DA:I.   Previous DA games played on XB360, so I am a PS4 'virgin'.

GRAPHICS:  Awesome! Smooth (no stuttering). I have not encountered any issues so far.

GAMEPLAY:  So far no issues, no bugs as of yet.

Getting used used to combat and controller, just taking my time and having fun!

I think the big PS4 issue you're referring to, was something to do with the PS4 itself rather than the game. I think I read it was caused by the PS4 update patch 2.00.

Update patch 2.02 is the patch that addressed that problem, so make sure your PS4 has that latest patch downloaded and installed, and you should be okay.

And, yeah, it sounds as if the PC bunch are having a rough time of it right now.   :(

Yeah I'm playing on the PS4 and as long as your PS4 is up-to-date, there are no issues with Dragon Age:Inquisition, for me at least.

I haven't run into any bugs or anything.

So far, so good on PS4. 13 hours in and I've only noticed minor bugs and glitches. Nothing that breaks the game or prohibits any progress.

Thanks for all of the answers everyone; I really appreciate it! *sigh* Hopefully the PC users can get a patch really soon that fixes all of the big issues.

You can't remap, but honestly it's won me over. I'm really enjoying having R2 be the attack button now.

The only real issues I've had is a crash here and there once in a while, and the deluxe edition soundtrack not working. And yes I'm running 2.02. It apparently didn't fix all the crashes. Just most of them.

PS: graphics are absolutely amazing, with the water effects being particularly fantastic. Looks very realistic to me.

Is there a reasonable autosave, or should I be paranoid and save after every little thing just in case it crashes?

From what I've read, paranoia is definitely the way to go!   ;)

It autosaves like every minute. It autosaves so much you shouldn't worry really. When it crashes I find myself right back where I was in the first place.

That's good to know. I didn't want to have to replay vast chunks because it crashed. With the areas being so large now, and it being possible to play for a LONG time without leaving/entering a new area, I was concerned that autosaves might be too infrequent. Glad to hear that isn't the case.

I have the PS4 copy. I've had the game getting stuck in conversations (they stand there not talking, NPCs move around in the background, etc.) three times (two of them in a conversation with Cassandra). Beyond that, no issues.
