What, would you more rather a game with no violence and all sex? Violence is acceptable in the context of the game, the games story is based around a shadow war, if it were without violence then it'd fail at that context. But when it comes to sex, that's not within the context, the game is based on a fight for survival, not 3D porn!

As I said before, if you want sex, then go watch some porn or find a real relationship, not play a game for it that isn't based on it!

Bioware put the sex in Mass Effect 1 in the first place. fans didn't ask for it, but it seems like most appreciated it. but now they're toning stuff down. that's what I'm mad about. why you gotta tone it down

The thing is, you can not tell someone what games are to them. Games are different to each person. What makes a great game is different for everybody. Not everybody will have the same feelings about a certain issue or aspect in a game. I'm only saying this because it's really pointless to attempt to tell people "come on guys it's a game not a porno" etc etc.

What does that do? Sure, people can have sex in real life if they want, watch porn, whatever. But maybe they feel different when it's in a game they love. Maybe they want to see THEIR characters and the great characters in Mass Effect in a sexual/passionate encounter? Not some random broad in a porno or something. I just think it's a waste of time to come in here telling people what they should focus on in a game.

If they want something in a game, then damn, it's their right to have that view and that want....

I can see the point of both sides, but my personal opinion I belive if you are going to show someones foot get chopped off or head sawed off, or even a slow motion bullet going through someones head in a vdieo game (all scenarios I just mentioned were in games I have played) and rate that 'M', then why in the heck no just show the fricking nudity if you re going to have a sex scene.

maybe cuz theres a lot more options? the scenes are all done differently instead of the same "chicks butt and then sideboob over the male character (or femshep if its liara)" scene. theyre not gonna draw in side boob and butts for every character

There were no sex scenes in Star Wars, but it was epic nonetheless. I think people have come to mentally link RPGs with romance and sex scenes. How about if ME3 had NO romance at all (not saying it would happen, but what if)? Would you not play it?

Only reason it dosent. Is cause Ea dosent want another storm from FOX Sony did it with heavy rain cause the press dosent look at low hype games. (LOVE PS3)

What I want from a game is a total experience, especially one in which you are the character. Dragon Age, while decent pre mods, is a far better game with some of the adult mods because it INCREASES immersion. Now I get to go around and fight the good fight, but also come back to the tent for some relaxation and love... it is far more realistic and thus I care a hell of a lot more about what is going on.

^This. If we had all the weapons in the game shoot flowers then the gun horny kiddos would whine about immersion and the game being unrealistic.
But as soon as we want some immersive romance plot endings or realistic love scenes then its
" HURR DURR GO WATCH PORN LUL!!!1111"
You dont get it. Its not that we want porn. We want a REALISTIC love scene instead of showinga freaking black screen or a lamp.

If bioware made all your precious little headshots with a rifle turn that makes u soooo hard in your little boxers(dont lie) turn to a blackscreen instead if making  their heads blow up then you would cry like babies.
Godammit u ppl make me rage FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

its not actually CENSORED, theres no black bar and nothings blurred out. from what i saw it gets intimate enough before blacking out and leaving the rest to your imagination. if you really wanna see aliens naked go google some of that weird anime/fan art stuff

so you have to see full on hardcore alien sex to be immersed in mass effect? go look up the scenes before complaining, from what i've seen they get the point across well enough. the conversations with your LI and the intimate scene before they do it is immersive enough for a game

Wtf, no it is not just about "shooting people", it is about creating your own character, mirroring that character after what you want him/her to be, getting engrossed and immersed in the Mass Effect universe, meeting and interacting with tons of interesting and deep characters, having relationships with all these characters, developing who you are in the game, AS WELL AS finding the truth about the Reapers and taking on your enemies.

Having intimate encounters is PART of being immersed in this game and making it feel more mature and more realistic.

do you need to see your character taking a dump, a leak, or showering too? because theres a bathroom you cant use WHICH MAKES ME VERY UPSET BIOWARE, i want TOTAL immersion. youre like the gamestop guy at the citadel who wants REAL TIME TRAVEL and EATING and DRINKING WATER just so you can be "fully immersed" in your game world. if you want immersion in sex go have it in real life

did i say it was JUST shooting people? no, but it makes up a much larger part of the game than the romanic SUB PLOT. you can still get immersed and meet all the awesome characters, build meaningful friendships, and even romantic relationships, just because they dont show you doing the deed doesnt mean that you cant get immersed in it
