you seem to think that the IMMERSION is ruined though. not everyone thinks like you because theres more than one person working at bioware and clearly a majority of them decided that just because some nudity wasnt shown that the game would still be fine

The point isnt to go around being master chief as u seem to think. The point is to play your character and immerse yourself in the store you create. Get it yet?

You want to have a ****** while holding down auto fire on your machine gun and listening to slipknot (great band btw) and i want to have games that are mature enough to do love scenes tastefully.
 
And then i will go out on a killing spree because i enjoy that too. What i dont want is for bioware do downgrade their games.

i can't really be considered a kid if i have one of my own...i never said the point of the game was just shooting, i've said over and over again that the immersion comes from building the relationships, not from seeing the sex. sure, i like shooters like halo, CoD, etc, but who doesnt? you gonna flame on me for enjoying shooting in a video game? and slipknot is complete garbage. i dont need to ******, i've got my own woman, youre the one who seems more interested in wanking to a "TASTEFUL AND IMMERSIVE LOVE SCENE"

You're coming across with an air of superiority yourself.  Perhaps that set me off.  No, not perhaps.  Definetly it did.  I find your description of "immersion" silly, and your use of it as the sole reason for uncensored sex scene to be flawed.  The lack of full nudity is not an issue for me.  Tasteful examples of it enhance a game.  Unnecessary examples of it either cheapen the experience for me, or ruin it all together.

It's rather like bad puns.  In small doses they can be tolerated, even enjoyed.  Gratuitious use of them simply wreks the whole thing.

No I don't think it is ruined at all, because I still loved ME1 and thought it was brilliant and "immersed" well enough. And I also never said everyone thinks like me. All I'm saying is personally for me and for countless others, the scenes and romantic relationships would be even better if it did have nudity. Not just for the sake of nudity, but because for US, it adds to the experience on top of the great experience that is already there. And don't say "no it doesn't", forget it, you won't change my mind, or others. Our brains work DIFFERENTLY. We enjoy different things in different ways. Psychology 101.

And like DarkSpiral in the previous post said about the nudity: "Tasteful examples of it enhance a game."

Which is exactly what I'm saying. Take that for what you will.

People that talk like that remind me of a conversation I had with a college professor once.  The topic was Method Acting.  She (my professor) told us that Method acting is not about becoming your character.  If you start thinking you ARE the character, you aren't acting.  You're now insane.

I don't want to get "immersed" in a game to the point that not seeing nudity kills the enjoyment.  The very concept is insane to me.  I DO want to have the emotional enagagement (DAMN IT!  I said it.  *smacks himself in the face*) that building up to that point brings.  If not being able to see the sex kills the romance (or...I dunno...the non-romance, in the case of Jack.  She doesn't seem like the romantic type) then I think the players in question have a very unhealthy mindset.

EDIT: That is not a personal attack on anyone here.  It's my opnion, and a general statement.

And who decides tasteful?  If many people had their way, as evidenced by some posters here, then a perennial blank screen of "imagination" would be the only tasteful inclusion of sex.

In any game with violence, if sex is insinuated by a blank screen then it should be shown.  Either that or black out the decapitations.  You cannot show one while censoring the other.  Anyone arguing that violence should be shown but sex should remain to "porn" is simply wrong.  And yes, I am flat out stating that.  If violence is present in all its gory detail, then sex, if present, damn well better be shown in all its naughty detail.  Otherwise, the realism of that world takes a drastic hit.

im here because you guys are complaining about the lack of IMMERSION, when really it doesnt at all detract from the overall experience at all. i know it'll be a great game if they don't even have the romantic subplot, or if they show a full frontal nude scene, and ill still be immersed. there werent ANY sex scenes in KOTOR but it wasnt any less IMMERSIVE, it was still a great game and like this, you still feel like your choices have weight and that the characters you're talking to have depth and feeling

Well, I totally agree, that's one extreme end of it. Not having nudity doesn't kill the romance or "immersion" at all for me, I just think it would (or could) be much more tasteful (like you said), knowing Bioware, they could probably do a damn good job. That's all I'm saying.

Maybe they think differently? Is that really so bad to accept? So difficult to grasp? That out of the millions of ME fans, there are people like that?
