I haven't deciced yet, but I have narrowed it down to four choices. Right now I'm leaning towards adept, followed by vanguard and infiltrator(it's a tie), then sentinel. I've ruled out engineer and soldier.

The Infiltrator, because I absolutely love sniping. And the tactical cloak could be a great advantage over the enemy, if it is used correctly.

Infiltrators were kind of just a debuff class with sniper rifles in ME 1, and I still enjoyed playing them. And now with the new abilities they have... Gonna be shooting off mech heads left and right

I'm going with Soldier the first playthrough because that's what my Shepard was in the first game. My 2nd playthrough will be with a sentinel.

definately SOLDIER!!!
sure its awsome havin wicked biotic or engineer...ic powers, but c'mon!
heavy weapons! assault rifles! that stamina thingy....
yeh....
with the soldier you practically have all the main abilities, instead or cryo freeze, you got cryo ammo,
instead of overload, you got distruptor ammo,
plus you can always use ur teammates abilities.

I might go with the three mains, Soldier, Engi, Adept this time then play the hybrids. For ME1 I wetn Inf, soldier, replaying my inf, and have a vanguard and an adept game going too.

Importing my Vanguard to be a...well,vanguard. Although I think that my favorite is going to be Infiltrator. Or maybe Vanguard. Charging into people like the Vanguard does is just bad ass.

Handheld asks will none be trying out the sentinel Handheld thinks they are awesome perhaps even a bit OP. Handheld also found out that it is possible to get your squadmates special powers such as slam Handheld will not say how though not until later.

I was going to say Vanguard, but after reading this... I think I might do soldier first. That's what I did for my first play-through of ME1 and I loved it, but on subsequent attempts to play a soldier I found it boring. So, I think doing it first makes sense. Then I'll probably do either Vanguard or Engineer. Honestly, all the classes look pretty awesome now. It's a tough decision.

First ME character was paragon soldier, liked that, 2nd was renegade infiltrator, loved that and reason why that one is currently going through an NG+ with and will be the first one I import and will be the first complete playthrough I do. The new stuff really does intrigue me and as someone else said, looking forward to taking them calculated headshots

Soldie. Always love being a master-of-arms and being at the frontlines.

Soldier, aside from being a badass with all weapons to unleash hell on enemies with, I've always favored direct combat classes(warrior/tanks). I think the sentinel was my second fav of ME1, the devs made me so happy when they stated all classes can be "lock pickers" lol no more of sacrificing who you really want on your ground team with a squadmate that is still good, but is really only there because he/she can open locks and hack terminals.

Soldier == Boring
Seriously? In a game with biotic powers and future tech abilities, the one thing people are looking forward to is... the same machine gun that every game has? Whatever.
I'll be using Adept first, then probably trying an Infiltrator. It may be a year before I ever even try to play a Soldier. I guess... I just don't see the point. If I wanted mindless shooting, I have TF2.

It's a tough call. Charge looks fun, but a properly built Adept in ME1 with the Shotgun unlock was a true juggernaut on the battlefield. Made Insanity a cakewalk.

I'm starting as a Sentinel, tech armour looks awesome, and because its a jack of all trades in a way

I´m going as a soldier the first time and here´s why:
1- They have access to all the cool weapons in the game. Since I´m a fanboy of heavy armors, sniper rifles and rocket
launchers I know I´ll have a lot of fun playing that role
.
2- The sodier´s lack of biotic/tech skills make him a better commander because he has to select his team
very carefully, relaying io the other members skills (boitic/tech) and they relaying on him for the heavy punch
.
I don´t have any information about the achievement system (the forums are too big) but if as a soldier you can
unlock all the weapons for the other clasess, just like ME1, there´s another reason I will play as a soldier my first time.

Soldier, I always play a class that can take a lot of damage first, warriors, brutes, or tanks in MMOs, I like to wade out in the frontlines of battle. Of course I plan to play other classes, but soldier first

Handheld is thinking a suitable class may be Vanguard, Soldier or Infiltrator.

HAS to be Vanguard man! I'm a class-loyalist, and having spent a lot of time with my original, first EVER Shep a la Vanguard from day 1 of ME, I feel he and I have a lot more to go through together
