anyone else get smashed to the death expecting Rampage life steal to work but nothing happens? It's been happening to me sometimes.

Its happened a few times to me, but its not often.  Luckily devour is usually there to help.

What Kal said.  Whenever I go into Rampage, I always drop down Ring of Pain with Devour at the ready for an uh oh moment.

 

Edit:  On my skill bar, I have Devour, Ring of Pain and Rampage as my staple skills.  I've tried using Warcry and Mighty Blow to some success but not with very satisfying results.  Any suggestions for the fourth skill?  I'd prefer not to give into Dragon-Rage...

Dragon rage + rampage + devour is pretty much THE reason to play reaver. You're nerfing yourself if you don't run those three skills imo.

4th slot is debateable, I run the taunt + guard shout (forget name...) because I'm usually the tank. Fill the rest of my tree with passives.

Tried ring of blood. Not impressed.
