To begin, I want to be sure and state that I am very pleasantly surprised by DA:I. Originally, I was letting this game fly under my radar with little notice because I, like a lot of gamers, have become cynical when it comes to what we hear about a game while it is in development, and what the final product is. That said, perhaps my bias going into the game was set extremely low because, quite honestly, I was not sure what I was getting into other than the fact that I was searching for a good RPG since there hasn't been one in a while and - judging by my experience with the game so far - you guys have done a terrific job here. The world is fantastic, the story has been pretty interesting thus far, and I have been so caught up in poking around in the areas that I have not felt compelled to run through the main quest line at all because I am interested in seeing what I can uncover just beyond the horizon. For me, and many others I am sure, that is a great achievement. Congrats!
Seeing as there is, by many reports, well over 90 hours of game to be had here, I feel that every penny has been worth it. And, these days, that is saying quite a bit. It seems more and more AAA titles are coming out broken from the get-go because the developers failed to put in the care and details needed to ensure that their game launched with as little issues as possible. In my limited experience with the game so far, I have already come to the conclusion that a great deal of time, effort, and passion went into the creation of this game and I am anxiously waiting to get back to it.
If there is anything that can be shared, is there downloadable content (i.e. - storylines, new missions, new characters, new areas) that is on the horizon?
