Barrier is too important to be a hassle to use, especially in MP

I feel at the least, it needs a radius increase. I'd also like to be able to aim it while running. My wish, though, is for it to affect all party members without aiming.

We need people to play Barrier-casters in multiplayer. For that, it needs to be fun, and the caster needs to have attention to spare for other things. I don't want to play a Barrierbot. It's worse than being a healbot, which I happen to enjoy. I was a Spirit Healer in DA1 and DA2, but I don't even want to take Barrier on my DA:I mage.

Yes, in multiplayer, much of the blame lies with the lemmings. But that doesn't make it any more enjoyable for the mage.

Even if they formed up without being reminded -- which I can't even do because there is a sleeping child in the next room -- it would still feel like an interruption to gameplay and an unnecessary hassle.

In single player, the AI is too dumb to aim it properly and the targets are too dumb to stay in formation. There is tactical view, but it still doesn't feel like battle prep, it feels like jumping through hoops.

I'd like to add that the success of the group also depends greatly on the one player casting Barrier. So much so that someone less practiced at it can cause a negative experience for all four players. Making it more user-friendly would mitigate this risk.
