Question about Romance checks?

My question is if it is too late to go through with her romance or is there still time to spark the romance option. I don't plan on starting over if I cannot but it would ease my concern.

I don't think it is. I'm not that far in, but I've had lots of characters where I've ignored their
dialogs, and I keep seeing them.

I have a similar question. Does starting a romance make it impossible to also do another one at the same time? Like how it was in ME3?
Basically, if I have sex with Iron Bull, will it be impossible for me to romance Josephine?

I was told it would be like in ME3, but since I was dead set on Kaiden, I don't really know what that means for the cut-off. I've been flirting with both Cullen and Solas, and I've just been assuming that at some point there will be an obvious choice moment?
In ME3, if you slept with someone, were you stuck in a relationship with them? Or could you dump them after? And if you did, could you then romance someone else?

Well, most of the sex scenes in ME3 were at the end, so there was no opportunity to break them off after that.
But I do recall that, for example, the shower scene with Traynor locked the romance in, and made it impossible to end it or start one with anyone else.

Oh yea, good point. I forgot about that.

Re: skipping the first two hearts in conversation with Cassandra....you'll be fine. I picked them both times and she disapproved slightly. Apparently she doesn't like me enough to be amenable to flirting just yet...
First time in a Bioware game I've felt like the companion was behaving realistically about a potential romance, rather than me just spamming them with flirtation until their pants flew off.
Kudos to Bioware for nuanced companions!

Thanks for responding to my question. Are you in "romance mode" now?

See, I picked those same options and got approval.

I'm curious as to what determines if she'll disapprove or not. I flattered her and she just looked kind of coy and no approval or disapproval.

Hey that's excellent news! In DA2 the heart icon was the romance 'win' button haha.

Could it be that the heart icon just nudges you toward romance or rivalmance depending on if you are currently approved or disapproved of? I haven't done any romancing, but the above description makes it sound like the replies are a bit neutral. It's good to hear there are multiple opportunities to romance throughout the story.
I'm hoping this is the case. It'll be the first time I've romanced a warrior in my a main playthrough.
