Sorry for the double post - I posted in the "spoiler" section and I didn't mean to -
I've been posting and reading in some of the forums, and I'm starting to adjust to this new form of Dragon Age game. I'm now very aware that I should treat this like a single player MMO in which you "zone hop" in order to level up so that you can keep gaining progress.
There are two big reasons why you have to zone hop in my view: 1) Gaining levels so you are not destroyed randomly by a level 12 mob in a zone that you had previously been fine in, and 2) Gaining power so that you can "unlock" the next part of the story.
While I'm thrilled with the zone hopping, I've come to accept it. The problem is, after 8 to 10 hours in, I still am not sure what is a reliable source of xp or power. Finishing some quests seem to give me power, but not always. I'm not always sure if I'm gaining a big xp boost from quests either. I know that clearing rifts gives xp (not sure about power) and that claiming camps gives power (but not xp...maybe?). Can someone help set me straight, or is this explained in game and I missed it? Thanks for the help guys!
