The PC controls in DAI are just absolutely garbage compared to PC controls in DAO and DA2. Below are some examples:
- No tooltips: There is no tooltips when you hover your mouse over abilities. So there's no way to tell what an ability does, its cooldown, how much resource it costs, and how much damage it does, except you have to press 'p' to open your character's record and look at the skill stree, which makes it so tedius and incovenient for setting up combos and planning your attacks, especially for people who play higher difficulty than normal such as myself. DAO and DA2 have this feature, how come DAI doesn't?
- No option to group party members: In DAO and DA2, you can select your whole party by pressing Ctrl+A, or if you want to group 2 or 3 members together, you can press Shift+ F1, F2, F3, F4 which makes it easier to group say 2 rogues to focus attack a target, or 2 mages to focus cc a boss, and so on. In DAI, you only have party attack which binds to 'y', party disengage which binds to 'l", and please correct me if I'm wrong you can't group 2 or more party members together. So let's say I wanted to group Varric and Sera to focus fire a target, I have to select Varric, then click on the target, select Sera, then click on the target...That's just not convenient and not fun to me.
- No mouse scroll: In DAI,Instead of using the mouse to scroll the battlefield in tactical camera, a feature which both DAO and DA2 have, you have to use WASD...I mean why would you use WASD when mouse scroll is much easier, much faster, and something that Dragon Age fans have been used to ?
These features are the things that both DAO and DA2 have, and they're good features, so why not just leave them as they are for DAI, why remove them ?!! I just don't understand...
