All.

I made a single world state and exported it. The keep said that this world state would be used upon a new game.

When I started the game up, I logged into my account and started a new game. I expected some sort of confirmation of the world state I would use, didn't see it, just kept it moving.

Now like 18 hours in, a certain character has referred to who I thought was the Grey Warden from Origins as a woman, and in the past tense. My warden did the whole God baby thing with Morrigan, and was male.

So it got me thinking about the world state import.

Was there supposed to be a confirmation on PS4? I *did* try to start a new game and I actually caught it saying something like "downloading keep data", but it's really fast and I can't really tell.

Finally, is there any way in game, or through options to check?

Yes, it asks you if you want to use a keep import in a pop up right after you choose the tarot cards for what kind of character you want to make.

Have you gotten the codex entry on the Hero of Ferelden yet? That will probably make it clear whether the Keep state worked or not.

Look at your keep there will be a playthrough in the worldsate menu bring that up in the keep and check your choices. If they are not your choices you have a default world state.

I've found that talking to Leliana, Varric, and the requisition officer (Threnn?) in Haven helps verify the correct world state imported. I played through the game about 6 or 7 hours only to hear Varric mention Carver was alive and well when he should have been dead and Threnn mention "queen Anora" who should have been imprison. Long story short only the default world state imported and I had to reimport from the keep as well as restart my game.

Second time around talked to them first and all my decisions seem to have imported correctly the 2nd time.

Just checked my "Hero of Ferelden" codex entry, yep, it's not imported. Great... Not going to restart now... Was at least hoping that the default would have been alive, in case they would have popped up in the game... This sucks :(

If only you could load it into an existing game...

I found the Hero of Ferelden codex in Redcliffe. Leliana is in a tent right in front of the entrance to the Haven Chantry.

So you have to go into the War Room at least once to talk to all three advisors about your first move.  After that, if you decide to stick around in Haven before venturing forth, Leliana will be RIGHT outside the Chantry in front, at a tent.  Near Threnn.

It should also say on your map.

Yes, you have to confirm. Or get some notification, don't really remember, but it definitely pops up.

It asked me if I want to import a Keep save, then it showed me the timestamp and asked if it was correct.
