To all the bioware employees that are reading, moderating and commenting in this thread and others on the forums i would like to say that i appreciate the effort.  A lot of the comments and information is quite helpful and the possible patches and updates sound like they will make the game much more enjoyable, or at least playable.

The problem is that there is no longer any reason for me or anyone else reading these forums to believe a single word that you say.  The marketing for Inquisition (made for PC) is one of the biggest and most blatant lies that have been told to gamers in years.

20 years of good will, trust and loyalty gone overnight.

I hope it was worth it.

My last post before I sit and wait!

Have you noticed the difference between  gathering ore/herbs vs loot? You seem to able to mine from 6 feet away but have to stand on top of loot.

It appears to have nothing to do with jumping. It does make me more optimistic about the "coming patch".

One of the most basic frustrations with the controls is that right click should be attack. I've played Warcraft and Dragon Age for years and I can't comprehend why this would not be the default. Left click should highlight, and right click should attack. And this can't be remapped. The only option is to invert all mouse controls, which is a nightmare for what I hope would be obvious reasons.

My wife and I both have struggled with this in game. We are constantly attacking things we just want to highlight to see the names/levels on (such as animals, or enemies before we have decided if we want to .

You can switch the LMB with the RMB as a toggle. It's in one of the options (not keybindings). This isn't the issue for me, but I hope this helps you and your wife enjoy it.

The memory leak is killing me.

I bought a brand new PC two days ago. Alienware, AMD Radeon R9 270 with 2GB memory. The game ran at the highest possible graphical settings, stunningly beautiful and perfect frame rate. Then, once I reached Mother Giselle, it was over. Constant lag and freezing, always working perfectly for a few seconds before returning to slow and unplayable.

The same thing is happening to these people: http://www.tomshardw...00-cpu-ram.html

I haven't had any of the crashing or cutscene errors mentioned here, but this bug is equally deadly. I don't know what I'll do if it isn't fixed. A lot of the people here are suggesting major gameplay changes that would never be implemented, but this is important.

But that inverts all other mouse functions, which makes the game unplayable. Just need a mouse button remap function.

UI scale would be wonderful. The interface is enourmous. The quest tracker and buttons at the bottom are constantly distracting because of the large size. Especially considering how beautiful the game is, it would be very good to be able to scale this.

At the very least, a hide UI feature for screenshots would be great.

________________

Being able to highlight creatures while mounted to check level seems like a basic, needed feature. Dismounting just to check a level seems silly.

And the character should auto dismount when I try to loot something. Strange to click the item and nothing happens. Need to click dismount and then click the item. Too many clicks for one function.

What happened to you, Bioware?

Don't you see your playerbase is loosing and already has lost its faith in you the last few years (imho starting with ME2)?

Look around what's happening here. Ppl are angry because they can't play the game they've been waiting for so long, after the DA2 disaster and the many promisses after it and they've f****ng paid 60 bucks for!

Now we have an unfinished game and we also have to deal with the fact, that your company obviously degenerated to a half-baked game delivering business like many other developing companies out there we are all sick of!

All of this EVEN WITHOUTH A DAY ONE PATCH!!!

What.were.you.thinking!?!?

Why the hell did you even start changing things that have been great as they were in DA:O!?

Tell us!

Why did you have to try to reinvent the wheel so many times? DA:O = awesome; DA2 = bullshit; DAI = awesome and bullshit at the same time because of all those unnecessary changes compared to DA:O, just to remind you, WE LOVED.

Tell us for rpg-gods sake TELL US!

It will be interesting to see how/if Bioware eventually deal with this. Particularly in light of Ubisoft's recent apology and gift to players who had to deal with the Assassins Creed Unity problems. DAi has had least the same level of technical problems that Unity had, and far, far worse for a enormous number of PC gamers.

At this point its looking like they're going to bunker down, do nothing and wait for the firestorm to blow over, while hoping enough people forget between now and christmas.

As much as I hate to admit it, but your words ring true. I don't think that we will see any major changes, only slight stability patches. :(

Are you serious? I am not saying that DAI doesn't have issues, but they are far, FAR less dealbreaking than what Unity faces. The game's controls and interface might be lackluster, but at least it freaking works. Let's not blow things out of proportion here. Like that other guy above saying that DAI is "unfinished". Wow. Not polished enough in some aspects of its PC port? Sure. Unfinished, though?? This game and its huge amoung of content is unfinished? You guys need to take it easier, in my opinion.

I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that most of them are off work and spending their Thanksgiving holiday with their families, but we should at least hear something by Monday at the latest.  They do owe us that.

Not only that. People praising Ubisoft for their oh so generous apology and stuff (a free game only if you were so stupid to also buy a season pass) forget that they had the gall to set the review embargo for that Unity mess to 12 hours after the game launched. DA:I buyers on the other hand could read reviews a week before the game launched and the problems with PC controls were noted in a lot of them.

I also hope that we'll see a patch soon but please don't act as though Ubisoft has any moral high ground here...

A trophy room!  Yeah!  Make that a free DLC!

Fixed. I hate the idea of discarding my old equipment, too. I get emotionally attached.

Happy Thanksgiving, US! And Happy Thursday, everyone else. I'm thankful to everyone in the community that took the time to communicate their concerns with this game in hopes of making it that much better. And to the people at bioware that have opened this channel for discussion and taken the time to read and respond to our concerns. And to SEGA for releasing Valkyria Chronicles on PC.

You can't compare those games; Most people I see complaining for big problems in DAI don't have the computer to handle it, or miss softwares and drivers. And it works far better for most users than Ubisofts titles. DAI is like a solo mmo-wide experience, the world is so big and complex that there are bugs of course. 80% of the games developped don't do open betas to test them on vast amount of players, so when some team work for debugging, they will never find the half of the bugs 1000 players can find in a day.

Now they know most of existing problems in the game, let's just wait for patch and most of it should be fixed. The only time I was disappointed by Bioware was with Dragon Age II maps, but they did great work with Inquisition even if there are problems.

Did you try turning down your settings?  This is a very demanding game.  Expecting ultra for your rig may be a bit high.

I have a  similar tiered 2GB GPU as well, and once I turned off MSSA and turned graphics everything to high (except mesh - kept at ultra for the hair quality) it made all the difference.

Still have AO at highest.  Game still looks gorgeous.  I'm 15 hours in with just the occasional freeze on longer cutscenes or the wartable (oddly).

The game's controls and interface might be lackluster, but at least it freaking works. Let's not blow things out of proportion here.

- The conversation controls sometimes disappear.

- The UI seems untested and lacks most basic features.

- Sometimes have to alt-tab out to get the UI to work.

- Character polygons (and building polygons) periodically explode.

- The screen turns chroma green/red.

- The audio stutters and skips fairly regularly.

And the incessant crashing...

That sounds pretty incomplete to me, and that's a short list. This is not a finished product.

Well they are not going to go the Ubisoft route, I can tell you that.  EA does not give a **** about you, or any single customer, or even the entire PC customer base.  EA is console or bust, the PC is an afterthought they port a game and move on and probably just need 100K units to break even, anything else is gravy.

My guess is they will release a patch next week that addresses all of the low hanging fruit they can.  Mostly technical/stability fixes...*maybe* increasing the zoom out for the tac cam as that has to be a pretty easy fix, just a frame rate hit.

The next patch after that will have the content fixes, but they are gonna focus on stuff that affects all platforms.  Storage space comes to mind.  If we are lucky that hits before Christmas.

The PC version is never going to be the by PC gamers for PC gamers version we were promised.

How far in are you?

I'm in 15 hours plus.

Playing on PC w controller.

Of those issues I just have the first one with conversation controls going wonky.  Not too difficult to overcome.  Treat it like a mini-battle.

Not one of those other issues yet, but then I'm not using KBM for the UI.

Oh I know EA has nothing but disdain for its customers, but it will be interesting to see what they do. DAI is a buggy mess, even without all the content/ui problems. And while I have absolutely no hope that they would actually give out games like Ubisoft did, they will have to do something because otherwise there is no way this game is on track to make back money. The only platform which has above a 5 on metacritic is the PS4, and even that is only a 7.

And while Metacritic is a clusterfuck of games journalist circle-jerking, the user scores tell the real story. The reality is many people do use metacritic as the go-to for a simple decimal score, and it also has plenty of cross-platform user reviews. This game is not preforming at all, and EA will have to do something to prevent it being a major flop before christmas.

As many people have noted, there will likely be a small patch to fix a couple of the most persistent technical bugs. Then maybe there will be another early next year to address some of the remaining bugs, and maybe a tiny alteration to some of the UI/Camera problems. At this point I have no faith in either Bioware or EA to actually make this game good.

And I'm betting EA wins the worst company award for a 3rd year running! So thats something.

Lots of PC players with controller are playing just fine.

You're not hearing from many of them because they ARE playing the game.

Graphics on PC will be much better than PS3. :)

Did you eat too many sour candies today? :)

I highlighted all your subtexts hidden in your post.

Buggy mess?

Better read some of the very positive posts where people finished the game and loved it.

Unless you like one sided.

What game is perfect from outset, especially a game of this scale?

I'm on a PC just meeting recommended specs and I'm doing fine.

The BIG question you need to ask yourself is for every person having an issue how many are playing and having fun (with a few bugs that all games have)?
