R.I.PC !
Look at this Bioware... that is how the tactical camera should be !
If someone could do it with the Cheat Engine, you sure as hell could have done it. But no, you surely didn't take the time to add this to the PC version cause you know that wouldn't have work on consoles !
SO instead, you delivered a crappy tac cam to fit your crappy engine, probably thinking that PC gamers would not see the trick...
Yeah well, guess what, we did ! And there's 130+ pages of unhappy players telling you about it...
THAT and other more critical bugs and design fault...
But hey, who are we to DARE critisize you choices ? you surely know better than the thousands fans of your previous works that you have deceived
Yeah, As i've said before. The cheat engine fix isn't perfect. But at least it proves that it should be more then possible for Bioware themselves to fix the tactical camera and make it in to something that is actually usable. We just have to wait and see whether or not they want to fix it.
Any info on when will the patch come out?
There is no fix, no patches, I still can't understand what you are waiting for...Do you really think they will fix something? or maybe add something? You all are blind and naive. If they fixing it right now so they could inform about the process, at least they could find a few mins to post something, but they can't and wouldn't. Well, they really could post something, because it's already 11 days have passed.
1. They don't care
2. They forgot about us
Simple.
The game is already published, so they can take a rest, they can forget about game for awhile, and you folks can expect some fixes in 15-30 December, or even in January 2015. Remember how long it took to fix prev games of BW? MONTHS.
Deleted and requsted refund in first day, no regrets.
It's not good, when they post 1 time for 2 weeks.
We have to be patient, it´s possible that Bioware tries to fix as much as possible bugs/PC related critics with one big patch, and not with dozens of small fixes.
It seems a lot of people don´t know what patience is, maybe the should try to learn it...
I don´t like the tactic camera and the console menus, too. But I don´t cry the whole day long, or say things like "F*** Bioware, they don´t give us a patch, but I want it NOW!!!".
Patience. Think about it.

Don't know 'bout you but i've paid for working product. You do not buy a car without wheels and patiently wait while GM deliver them for you in the future... maybe. M8

They are definitely here and reading, but so far the only thing that has prompted Bioware employees to post replies is mentioning the possibility of contacting Ray Muzyka on Twitter. Not sure if expressing an interest in contacting other Bioware people achieves the same results.
With that said, I think we should all abandon this thread, and send David Gaider hundreds of polite tweets and private messages detailing our many problems with Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Just make sure you do it politely. ![]()

Bioware hasn't said a single word yet about it, so there is absolutely nothing to hint "there is a big patch on the works", as it would had been announced already. It's not about being patience, it is about not being naive, and using a thread about PC concerns, to post the concerns about the game, which seem to be quite shared among the community.
To be honest, people need to understand that constructive criticism and customer feedback should be posted and not censored by politeness towards a company that hasn't even pronounced themselves after so many posts.
And yes, you are not "smarter" or more "mature" by not complaining for something you had paid for.

Well said!
Let's all take a deep breath and relax a bit.
The thing I, and apparently a lot of people simply do not understand is why you (Bioware) feel the need to continually reinvent the wheel? DAO was well received on the PC, having an excellent inventory management system, controls that where intuitive for M+KB users, a tactical camera that allowed you to view the battlefield and a tactics screen that allowed, well, tactics. Rather than taking from that game those things that worked and incorporating them in to your next releases, you throw them out the window and simplify everything to the point of insensibility. Stop doing it, we're not imbecilic, we can get to grips with complex systems. Keep and build upon what's good, throw what's bad on the scrap heap rather than the other way around. As things stand DA:I feels like it has more in common with Street Fighter than it does with DA:O.

We've been following these issues closely and are looking into them.
Player experience is a top priority for us. Our goal is to address as many of these as possible in our upcoming patches, including some in our next patch, which is underway. We’ll release further details in the coming days and will continue to monitor your concerns.
Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate your contribution to making Dragon Age: Inquisition a better overall experience.

Why would Ray Muzyka care? He is no longer a part of the company. Seems like a strange tactic..."My game has a few bugs and I want to whine to a former owner of the company that made it!!!"
I have this specs:
I7 4790
Gtx 970
8 Gb RAM
Win 8.1
G-Sync Monitor
Driver 344.75 or 344.80
I have same stuttering every 10s, speacially when i'm in Heaven city...and wolking around the world ( nothing when i fight) i have a G-Sync Monitor...i have tried in every way but the game continues to give me same stutter...i have tried with driver 344.75 and beta driver 344.80...with a monitor G-Sync it's impossible have stuttering but i have...it's impercetible but there...i have tried with nvdia experience to optimize the game but nothing...i have tried to play in high performace but nothing...i have spent some money for this game and i'd like it was running fine...when will come new driver or new update by Bioware?

The point I'm making is that the prospect of disgruntled players contacting him motivated Bioware employees to start replying to this thread, whereas hundreds of those same players simply asking Bioware to do so wasn't good enough. Indeed, whining to a former Bioware employee about DA:I related issues is about as productive as whining about people whining to him. ![]()
Take a look at this rogue (noted as one of the more difficult classes to play in melee) going solo on nightmare against a Dragon.
In my view, this is how the game was meant to be played. One character, action cam view just hacking away like Shadows of Mordor, Kingdoms of Amalur etc. :-)
He uses Mouse and Keyboard, another plus that makes this worth watching.

The crappy button mashing combat can't be fixed with a better camera anyway, so who cares.
I wonder why EA even bought Bioware if they are only interested in making lousy open world action games.
As things stand DA:I feels like it has more in common with Street Fighter than it does with DA:O.
Yep.
I have done a little thinking on the auto attack and auto pick up things, did not want to as I like to enjoy the game and not think on fixes and testing so here is what I think.
On the auto pick ups there could be a problem depending where the loot is found as we may need to jump over rocks for the path finding so I would be fine if this could be implemented to go to the loot and pick up if it is possible or don’t move if not possible because of jump or some other path problem so we know we have to do some travelling before the pickup.
The same could be applied to auto attack, if the path is clear then we auto attack but if not possible we have to do some travelling first.
If it is easy to do so we use jump with the path finding it would be great. I don’t know how it is for consoles so can not say how Bioware implemented this but these are some of my thoughts for now.
autoattack, click to move and even autoloot works in tactical mode, so it should be possible in normal too. but the pathing sometimes bugs in difficult terrain

Yep.
Like I wrote, fixing the camera and tactical mode won't change the fact that the game is a button masher. The game is playable with KB+M, you just have to completely ignore tactical mode.
Kingdoms of Amalur was a bad game that deserved to fail. I wonder why EA thought it would be a great idea to make Dragon Age: Inquisition a Kingdoms of Amalur clone.
All of you are complaining about the tactics camera (which ain't great, I admit) but I'm just here complaining about the Terrible FPS and unstable FPS...
Engine issues, let the Patch address that before camera!
Hey, Bioware ...
This is just insulting.
I think you don't answer, give us updates or any form of communication - cause you are downright spiteful.
There can be no other reason not to give us only a 50 word reply just telling us what you are doing, what we can expect and approx when we can expect it. Before or after christmas?!
Why don't you tell us anything? Are you having an inside joke at your office at how frustrated your costumers are, and how long you can drive this thread b4 telling us anything? Anything at all?
It's just insulting how far this have gone without any form of reply or information, so short after launch.
You almost got it right. But it was a lot easier to say: "Let players control like they did in DAO"
Also except for graphics engine (no, not even design, just the engine), bring back Origins.
Ok I lie, I love the main story, and well, all Bioware writing but mechanics wise, bring back Origins, and double the main storyline content, then I can think about rating this 6/10 or 7/10, 10/10 is impossible after the frustration I have been experiencing.
I guess the point I was attempting to make was that most of the issues I'm having with DAI have nothing to do with the tactical camera, but rather the changed default input behaviour and control scheme of this new action mode. Transitioning between two distinctly different modes that use completely different rules and input behaviours is jarring and unwieldy for me, at least while using a keyboard and mouse.
There really is no 'almost' about it, friend.
The way I have heard the combat system described, there is just no way a Dragon Age game should be shackled with a scheme that looks like it's for a 16 bit game made 10 years ago.
Something definitely went wrong very early on in the production that led to this. Engine restraints, console proprietary demands, financial deterrent, who knows...
They know about most of the problems before release, they just do it anyway because they know they can get away with it. Lots of preorders (we really should stop preordering games, it makes developers lazy), feedback from major reviewers (they know if they like the game or not game prior to publication) and lots of hope that the goods will outweigh the bad in the consumer's view.
Of course they did not know about every bug, but they are good developers and they know the combat is subpar and pc cpontrols are terrible, but that's all they could do before deadline.
Lauching the game in this state they will gauge the more pressing issues for most and work on them, instead of having to work on the game until it is all good.
It is shady and it is really a shame: this one had the potential to be one of the greatest games of all time.
