Wonderful UI.
D:OS is a game that is definitely built for PC gamers and it oozes it constantly.
Larian studios are exceptional with knowing what works on PC doesn't.

In order to put things in perspectice, sales figures are just in for the first week after release:
www.vgchartz.com/article/252306/dragon-age-inquisition-sells-114m-units-worldwide-first-week-ps4-xbox-one-x360-ps3-pc/
Those numbers are most likely estimates and do not include digital downloads via Origin. Still, judging from those numbers, it becomes a little clearer why Bioware has apparently put so much develompment emphasis on consoles. (Which, of course, does not jutify any of the obvious shortcomings of the PC version)
In the day of PC digital sales. VGChartz is next to meaningless.
It is all speculation at the best, but with the increase in PC gaming and how Dragon Age got its biggest following over on PC gamers. This wont serve them in any way.
Well, tell that their shareholders. Only Selling pieces numbers and Metascore is important for their World. Not lucky customers
p.s. i am still poking around, to tickle some respond here
I found the UI fine myself, enough material but not too much that it is cluttered. UI even though visually stunning, is not usually done well in RPGS in my experiences. There is just the disconnect of what is important data and what is negligible. UI like everything has to prioritize.
The game has it's balancing flaws that is for sure but other aspects of the game are done extremely well.
-The Co-op inspired dialogue tht would allow a user to roleplay two characters that also have attatched variables to influence this dynamic.
-Solid although lightweight CC.
-The crafting system which is backed by a good ensemble of armor kits(which Dragon age falls victim to).
-The character traits or perks that actually had a lot of influence on the game and not just few pieces of dialogue.
-The visually stunning spells and abilities.
-The robust modkit that came with me.
This might not satisfy a lot of people but I haven't come across a game this year that offered me so much more at such a price.
To your points:
* I didn't play Co-op in this game, the dialog between the two PC's characters felt a bit weird when playing single player, but I guess it is fine for Co-op.
* I didn't like the CC, too few options, also you rarely see the character ingame. DA:I one is perfect IMO.
* I disagree. It's the standard mage/rogue/warrior setup without many visual differences between each set.
* Outside of the excellent Pet-Pal, nothing really affects how the world is treating you. For DA:I, I dunno, didn't get far enough to get specializations.
* Fully agree.
* Fully agree, damn Frostbite 3, better to do it with Unreal 3 or something.
The last two messeges may seem that I didn't like the game, but I spent long quality hours on that game, but after 3 playthroughs I won't repeat it (1 on normal to learn, full party hard playthrough, x2 lone wolf hard playthrough).

seems like they're all partying hard these day. They are sooo happy with the release.... on consoles!
Meanwhile at Bioware party? "Hey Dave, shouldn't we work on the PC-patch?" -
Dave: "Don't bother me with these PC ehm...things!?...oh can I have another one please, tastes delicious :-) "
And we console players can't get a refund?

Well when you think about it, there is a lot more control over the Console ports --- you can't mod them, hacking is down to a minimum, you can't play the games unless its for X console --- and they go for well above what PC prices usually drop to.
Its not surprising the consoles get a boost.
Its just like how they keep debating as to whether to tighten the screws on the sale of used games for the consoles.
Its going to suck big time for us game consumers, but the PC enthusiasts are going to hang first.

I vote for Steam and Lord Gaben, God bless his soul.
Please fix the tactical camera!!!
I got the game for PC, because I hoped it was more like Origins. Ohh how disappointed I am. The camera (and some of the UI stuff) is so bad that I just can't play it!
It's very sad, since the story and actual gameplay seems good. Right now I feel EA/Bioware have misled their DA fans and given us a product ONLY made for stupid consoles. Sadly I can't get my money back.
Well, I just tweeted Darrah, Gaider and Laidlaw with the little notion I hope for (request/demand) an fix for the PC before Christmas.
Something that I didn't add there, but will add here: if no substantial patch has been had before the holidays, I wouldn't be surprised at all if an serious shitstorm would be had which surpasses the ME3-ending uproar if Bioware doesn't patch at least before Christmas.
The clock's ticking...
tastes delicious :-) "

Yea, I was getting sick and tired of all the damn hackers in DA2 and Origins.... Just ruined my playthroughs........, hacking is down to a minimum...
It's bugged on console too. *sigh* I'm just going to have to swallow the pain and force myself to get as far as I can until I start enjoying it again...

I hope your tweets had better sentence structure than this. Unlikely they'd respond if not...
It's late, so I'm a bit tired...
I don't get this... You paid a lot for this game. And it's not like it was a unknown IP with an unknown backstory.
Are you saying I should get a refund because I checked and both EA and Gamestop do not give refunds if the disc was taken out and the software used.
Can't get that to show on the iPad
Is there user feedback available? Are they taking comments?
it's a VOD from 2 days ago. They didn't pay attention to the chat. So no questions were answered. It was more a bit talking about the whole voice over process and drinking rum :-) was funny to watch though.
(there's a twitch app for iPad if you'd like to watch it)

If you bought the game through Origin I got a refund a week after release... If you got it at Gamestop pretty sure yer Effed.
Any word on when the game will be patched? Or updates from Bioware?

Keyboard and mouse (KB&M) it is already very old. They are not perfect for everything, so better solutions ARE needed. Various controllers that exist, can do certain things better than KB&M. True... but: most, or more exactly, all of them are specialized into something (racing-driving controllers different from flight simulator) -- and most of them are can do things better than other controls. True. Then why we stick with the "old" KB&M? Why? Because all those controllers are also worse solutions if used for something they were not designed for.
We need to move forward, not backward. The "controller" we are "tempted" to use for this game, allows less and not more. Certain actions are easier, because sadly this UI was built for that controller in mind, but certain things are impossible to be performed using it, compared to KB&M: point and click, zoom, have 20+ buttons (or 60+) to execute single click actions, have an ergonomical hand position on the table (depends on your hardware), ...and so on.
When we can have a controller that is able to do MORE, and not less, than a KB&M, and also can be used in a natural position - then we can abandon the old ways. If we want dumbed down controls, dumbed down graphics, dumbed down options (or no options at all - "just power on and play, so easy") - we can have that. Many of us already have PS & Xbox too, but still prefer this kind of game on PC - because that's MORE - or can be, should be.
You designed this game for consoles, and "ported" it to PC, because it's... cheaper. Adding features that 4 out of 5 platforms you developed this game for, can't use, seemed a waste of money. Then multiplayer is another reason to "force" everyone to use the same controls & UI - or would be unfair game - and single player PC mode is hit even harder.
Compare what can could be done with a KB&M vs. a controller. DAO is the example, it's a BioWare game (the old and true BioWare).
Just allow us to remove actions that cannot be remapped: if mouse left click can't be made to perform the action we choose, then at least allow us to DISABLE that key (in a config file at least). Same with ALL keys, KB&M. Never think that you know what we prefer - we always changed keys, and struggle to find a better way. Give us freedom, please.

^ All that in single-player mode only. Multiplayer and competitive play has different rules, and that's why I have other games for PvP.

Whatever. EA could never steal as much money from me as my fiance does.
No I'm saying why would you force yourself to play a game you know is going to get patched. If it fixes even 1 minor thing, it's worth waiting for Imo.
True that. But honestly I am somewhat enjoying the game. And the minor things won't really matter to me if I just focus on side quests for now.
