Oh mate...no,no,no...you've got to be kidding me!?

So you guys actually released the PC version of the game with the mouse/keyboard control so utterly and incredibly lame?!

After a couple of hours play, mouse-hand feels like a bad case of arthritis bloomed up.

What the?... it's not like it's the first PC game you've ever made?

What the?...like no one tried it out before release date!?

Any fool can tell after 5 min in-game that it's no damned good and that it won't cut it.

C'mon...this is serious stuff, expected more from you guy's.

I won't be playing the game until it's controls are corrected for mouse/keyboard play.

Denuvo.

That is one reason i m not getting your game.

By implying we are all thieves and cheaters and implementing that sort of solution is like an insult to me. This is the lowest i ve seen from a game company i once adored. Shame.

I'm no artist but here are my thoughts on the whole UI fiasco:

You guys have access to EA's money, you have people who coded the SWTOR UI, just throw some dollars at them and i'm sure they can whip up a better UI in under a week.

I had pretty much the same thoughts.

The UI is terrible and should be overhauled.

I hope the devs don't miss the 3 or 4 most constructive posts here. The guy with the screenshots know's the stuff, and the guys with the extensive suggested changes are very thoughtful as well.

With such a small effort, devs could make us so much happier.

Looking forward to this!

So in Normal mode the keyboard moves the character and the mouse moves the camera.

In tactical mode the keyboard moves the camera and the mouse moves the character.

How could anyone think this is a good idea?

What makes it even more awesome, there´s actually a place, in the missions, where you can only walk, for a few meters.
Then, back to the running! ;P

About Denuvo:

"Denuvo is (used only as the*) anti-tamper on the executable." *italic part added by me

"Origin is the DRM for Dragon Age: Inquisition, in the exact same manner and settings as it was in Mass Effect 3. Nothing has changed here."

So this should be ~ OK.

This doesn't mean that I support the use of any kind of "DRM", especially those which affect paying customers (i.e. almost all of them, just some are less evil than the others). Kudos to CD Project Red for showing respect to fans and being in frontline in this regard. BioWare belongs to EA, and because shareholders and so on, we are treated like in 2014. Maybe one day will be better. One can dream at least, and hope is everything.

really having keyboard and mouse problems. auto attack and click to move would make a very welcome return. i'd also like the tactical camera to zoom out much further. just make the terrain disappear like divinity original sin.

When can we expect a patch?

Cheers

It seems I'm one of the (very) unlucky ones who can't play DAI.   The game crashes immediately after the opening cinematic ends and the game transitions into gameplay mode.  I was lucky enough to get a maual save game in just before I crashed once.

The crash is typically a hard lock up (CTRL+ALT+DEL is ineffective and I have to hit the reset to reboot).

If I attempt to load my save game, sometimes it will crash before loading fully, other times it will crash immediately after the games as completely loaded and I have control of the character for about a half second.

System information:

http://hastebin.com/ikacugigeq.tex

I also double checked and my system exceeds the minimum requirements.

Just in general the text is awful large as well, can only fit a few lines on screen when reading a book. The fact I can read all the text before even zooming in is indicative of this. The UI is by far my biggest complaint in the game thus far, its clunky at best.

So, I had the error where the game would crash right after the intro video/character creation. I disabled anti-aliasing and surprisingly it worked! It didn't crash! I fell to my knees and cried in joy!

Then it crashed about 15 minutes in.

I give up. I'm done.

They better fix the mouse and keyboard controls for the PC before everything else.

This has been my constant nuisance with the game. Hope this patch will cover that.

Ooh! I know how to fix this. Go to Origin and set it to "offline" Then fire up the game and carry on.

PS: and ignore the nonsense warnings about your Dragon Age Keep imports.

That worked for me.

Well if they allow mods this issue would be fix earlier, instead we have to wait weeks or even months for a patch if it gets address in the first place.

I have never ever played a game this bugged... I've never played a BETA that was this bugged.

Sometimes the screen turns croma green & red and looks way trippy.

Had a companion today who's polygons decided to wig out and stretched out into infinity and reloading did not fix the problem.

Twice I spent over an hour making the perfect character and the game crashed before the opening sequence and the characters were lost.

The audio studders and twitches on a fairly regular basis.

I don't think I've ever in my life gone onto a forum to complain about a product. I've never called a customer service line to complain about anything.

The fact that this was released as a final product, ready for sale is appauling. My trust as a customer has been lost.

Expect next release to also be filled with problems. Bioware can't be Blizzard that can go on a 6 months of open beta testing period (Starcraft 2, both WoL and HotS), and declare release date "when it's done", they have EA breathing down their neck to have a fixed release date a year perior. The best you can do now is wait. In a month the game should be more stable.

Bioware tend to have a habit of releasing completely unfinished buggy games, their games aren't just 'filled with problems', they are unfinished! This may as well be the beta they released. Although after the disaster that was DA2, I wasn't really expecting much from bioware anyway. Good to see they didn't prove me wrong.

I think the mini-map goes to the lower right corner and smaller. The health bars go to the lower left corner and smaller like DA2. The bottom middle is fine. Tool Tips are fine the way you have it. The quest tracker is fine where it is except it needs to be smaller like you have it. The bar with the inventory on the right corner could be a little bigger. Now, we can see the pretty scenery! I played SWTOR and I know exactly what you mean. Remember that patch that allowed a player to re-arrange/resize the screen any way they liked? Heaven... The inventory system simply needs to be closer together over being more spread out into categories (done for the consoles I'm sure).

Guys dont turn this into a technical support thread.... Lets leave the devs read what constructive things we have to say.

Personally, I am living with the problems right now, the game has potential, and its long, and the story grows great... It will keep us entertained while things are fixed.. I would disagree if we say this game is total disaster. As a dragon age lore lover, I am enjoying it besides its... difficulties

Dialogue Wheel / Conversations:

  • ..
  • Sometimes the mouse will stop working and I am forced to use 1,2,3,4,5,6 to choose dialogue options. ALT-TAB seems to be the current work around.
  • ....

.....

I also face this problem. But i found a workaround. That is whenever it happen just right click and drag a bit [like moving camera angle] Then you can normally select the dialog with mouse.

ps. As for other issue I agree with you.
