no patch no statement makes pc players go crazy

I actually find it curious why Bioware is so focused on console games and the new generation when PC and old-school gamers are getting the short end of the stick. Our market is not only sizeable but our demographics in term of average income is much higher, hell we have money to throw around if we see the value, look at Star Citizen - a crowd-funded game that has raised enough money to surpass a small nation's GDP.
And no we're not all dead yet, heck I'm not even 30. So me and others like me will be around for the next 30 years to either give you cash, voice out my vocal criticisms (because I care), or invest my money elsewhere - which I have. Was playing Planet Explorers previously, the indie scene is great! Hell Bioware games are the only games I have on Origin too.
no patch no statement makes pc players go crazy
Hahaha, I'm not concerned about that, unless they post a first patch and it STILL doesn't allow me to walk (I'm holding off my 2nd playthrough until then cause I can't immerse myself with the current PC controls/issues)
@ChaosMarky. No becouse bioware havent fixed that prob yet, NFS RIVALS runs perfect for me, but DAI? I run it on low, low almost everything but mesh anti alistating and effects and water, really lagggy, really when its windowed I can all on ultra, but full screen? Resoulution 1370x678 and its still very very very buggy, on the lowest resoulution its still laggy, its just unfair
You can't fairly compare DAI with NFS Rivals, simply because they use the same engine. Rivals mostly have racing animation and a relatively static world compared to DAI where there are lots and lots of animations, effects and physics happening at any given time.
So DAI is indeed much more taxing than Rivals.
Just give people toolset and they will fix allmost everything...
Right now besides the random disappearing enemies most of my complaints are not PC specific (controls work fine for me), but I would like to ask for a response on a couple of issues just to provide some feedback regarding gameplay and classes. Just a heads up, the class issue is strictly a multiplayer one.
I have a ton more questions regarding class abilities but seeing as I am currently unsure if this is the place for that kind of thing I will just leave it at the Necromancer question for now as that is really eating me.
oh c'mon. has a game to be adjusted for every physical and mental handicapped?
Well, not every ailment under the sun for sure, that would be ludicrous. However allowing the mapping of all mouse buttons would be a good start, and not exactly much of an adjustment from the norm. Not to mention persons from Bioware have previously stated that they care about the concerns of AbleGamers...
Just give people toolset and they will fix allmost everything...
They won't be able to sell minidlcs that anyone can create in toolset then.
Also I heard that Frostbite is really tricky and difficult even for devs, so it would take a lot of time and work to create a user friendly toolset for it. And by the looks of DAI they don't have time and don't want to work.
If previous games in the series could be played without issue? Yes. That's exactly how it should be.oh c'mon. has a game to be adjusted for every physical and mental handicapped?
The silence of Bioware starts to be really annoying.
What is the point of a thread named "PC Community Concerns" if is obvious that Bioware don´t give a sh it about our concerns?
NO ONE single fuc king word in 13 days!! facepalm.jpg
Thats not really true.. Just look at the BW posts.
For sure. My question was more about making sure I understood what people were talking about just to make sure that we were on the same page.
dont leave us hanging, and i really do hope you understand after a few thousand posts
fix pc controls please
if i cannot play the game proper i ll need to return to sender and i dont want to cause i do want to play the game.
Very dissapointed with your false promises.
Just an observation when I first saw the in game videos of this game.......it showed the character "walking" down to some burning ships the feet following the terrain looking amazing..........I couldn't wait for the game to come out after reading and seeing the up coming content.
Where on the requirement list for the game.... does it say a controller is needed........................to facilitate the "walking movement"..............!!!!!!!
As far as I remember PCs come with a mouse................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aye, if I had known you couldn't walk using a KB+M setup I wouldn't have pre-ordered/bought the game on release.
Thats not really true.. Just look at the BW posts.
But we still don't know if the patch will only fix technical problems or will CHANGE (not "fix" but redesign) things like the tac cam, UI, k+m... Which is the only part I'm interested.
OK so signed up to post on this thread...add a voice...one more...calling for communication from the DAI team on fixes for the PC version of the game.
We are paying customers, I think it more than reasonable to expect answers to our questions. When and what will be fixed...some feedback on what has been said here in thousands of posts.
I find it hard to believe that the shortcomings on PC were not known at launch. Which is going to rankle with any buyer of the game...going to make you feel a bit used and a bit cheated when all you should be feeling is well satisfied with what is essentially a great game.
I am 60 hours in... and it is a great game....almost a return to DAO greatness but made average by horrible PC controls and no sense of a real journey. These things were done fantastically in DAO so how it is that they didn't get included/done right here...?? I also can see the game is dumbed down a bit w.r.t. tactics.
Basic things like the map of Thedas changing? Continental drift a problem?
Controls are so bad on PC..it makes you wonder if anyone actually played five minutes without a controller? But as I say I'm sure they did and I'm sure(hope) the patch was being worked on already
Simple question...when is it due....and will you compensate PC buyers of the game with some cool loot?
Come on Bioware...this game is a diamond.....almost as good as DAO if it weren't for painful slips in the attention to detail on the very platform that can showcase the game to it's fullest, to its glorious graphical beauty...etc
Hands up...take the feedback...say something and put it right please.
Silence at this point is just rude...
Giving me a nice working patch ASAP to fix my most annoying issues for PC is compensation enough. I don't care about more DLC or Free-LC
Just give people toolset and they will fix allmost everything...
That will be true and sad at the same time.
please Bioware bring patch soon, the cut scenes play horribly!!!!!!!!
Thats becuase for some reason the cap the FPS in cut scenes to 30 FPS....30 FPS on the PC?

Mods...
Not to mention Skyrim, Mount and Blade, it enriches so many games. Why can't Bioware just make their own inhouse engine again? Theirs weren't actually bad, look at Origins, for a dated game (only due to its delays/longer than usual development time) it still looked great on release.
The cap was a temporary solution for synchronisation issues, and should be solved in a patch. It was not done with a 'more cinematic experience' in mind...Thats becuase for some reason the cap the FPS in cut scenes to 30 FPS....30 FPS on the PC?

Just give people toolset and they will fix allmost everything...
There was a time when this was the case -- remember Neverwinter Nights? Players eagerly took the toolset and created like crazy. But now, the experience is more curated to only what they want you to see, experience only what they want to sell you. And if asked, I'm sure there'd be more tossing around of this notion of false "parity". After all, you can't exactly do mod development with a stock XBox or Playstation and then run your own server the way you can from a PC.
Out of curiosity...how can I make the shiny hair/beard/armor go away? It may seem a trivial thing, but I am trying to fix the things I (or you) have the power to fix and accept the things I (or you) cannot or will not fix at this point.
Thanks again for your time.
*Set the mesh settings to High

I have come to detest that phrase ![]()
