I dont know if this was already posted in this thread but clearly some still dont know about the 60dps fix for cutscenes.

Although the fps will vary between 48-60

Origin Tutorial:

Step 1: Boot up Origin

Step 2: Right Click on Dragon Age: Inquisition and select Game Properties

Step 3: Paste

-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+

Step 4: Click Ok then Click Play and Enjoy!

still i feel that the cutscenes not 60 fps , although fraps show 60 fps ,!!!!!

Can you please include an option to disable the console or rebind it away from the tilde ~ key? It's REALLY annoying to accidentally hit that button midfight!

Well they already created this topic and state that they work on these issues.

Patching such things is very complicated process so not saying when the patch will be ready is very common approach.

Is there any kind of an update on the actual topic?

For example, if there IS an actual patch in works, would be nice to know when it is expected (in a month, half a year, never).

With the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition, we've been hearing a number of concerns from members of our PC community, including:

  • Driver support
  • Hitching and frame rate issues in cutscenes
  • Feedback on keyboard and mouse controls
  • General user interface optimizations for PC

We've been following these issues closely and are looking into them.

Player experience is a top priority for us. Our goal is to address as many of these as possible in our upcoming patches, including some in our next patch, which is underway. We’ll release further details in the coming days and will continue to monitor your concerns.

Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate your contribution to making Dragon Age: Inquisition a better overall experience.

UPDATE:

If you are having DirectX issues and you have an AMD Radeon graphics card, please update to the AMD Catalyst 14.11.2 beta driver.

We are aware of issues with certain NVidia graphic cards and we are working with NVIDIA for a solution.

Just a small update wouldn't go amiss like

We're planning a few patches however the first patch aims to fix these as a priority (list that they will have)

*Disclaimer stating that a patch may be pushed out sooner that may miss some off this list in order to push a patch sooner rather than later

but i admit rmb+lmb to move is definitly the better way to do movement in a game but how would you attack in action mode?

The same exact way you attack now.  The same way you attacked in Origins and DA2.  Let go of LMB (which makes you stop moving) and click on whatever you want to attack/loot/interact with.

This isn't rocket science.

No doubt.  However with a thread containing >3k replies and >300k views, I'd expect a little more from Bioware.

Most of these replies could be avoided with timely updates - even updates saying they haven't found anything or are still gathering information.  As an old timer here, I find it disappointing that the Bioware I used to know is simply there in name only.

I seriously hope there's an official announcement today sharing progress and plans for a patch.

They have removed control option for no apparent reason. It's not hard to see why people would be upset about this.

If there is a genuine technical reason why moving with both mouse buttons could not be implemented, then why not say so. By keeping silent Bioware make it seem that they left it out simply because they didn't foresee that people would miss its inclusion.

I think alot of people are going to be really upset if it turns out the answer is, "Well, if we were to include that, we would then have to re-write all of the code that allows you to swing your weapon at the air with the Left Mouse Button.  We didn't want to deprive players of that cool, action-packed dynamic."

FRAPS never lies.  That's why the police use it.

The tilde key has been traditionally the console command button for at least 20 years.  Nobody is forcing you to use the keys around it (unless a game forces you to use wasd with no remapping...)

lol.. if the patch does little but add a walking toggle which the console version already has, then the situation is gonna get a whole lot worse than it already is. There are multiple bugs with abilities with single player and multiplayer, the tactical mode is still basically unusable and was designed by the equivalent of a high school student who knows barely anything about games.

Honestly you know what I think they did with that tactical mode? I think they took that wraith mode when you die in multiplayer and just slapped that on as the tactical mode, and just took the wraith texture out.

Lol this is the 2014 bioware. Wow. Never seen such lazy development before. Heads should roll for this catastrophe. It's just... sad.

I really do hope they patch the PC controls. Right now, the game is unplayable for me. I am fighting the controls, rather than enemies. I have put the game aside until a patch comes out because, for me, it is unplayable.

For those able to overcome this issue, they appear to be having a great time. However, as an outsider, this certainly looks as if consoles were Bioware's preferred platform with PC's being an after thought. Maybe it is a limitation of using a FPS engine to try and make an RPG. Maybe it was a design decision to go for more of an "action" game.

Either way, it ruined the game for me. Unless they fix the controls, this is my last Bioware purchase. Seems they no longer want to make the kind of games I enjoy playing. I come here, hoping, vainly probably, that they will do something to fix the PC controls. If they do, then they will have retained me as a customer. If not, then, well, so be it.

Thanks!  Yeah, it's just in regards to the walking option, but it was a response nonetheless.  I remain hopeful there's a comprehensive update on what's being looked at ...

Well, if the patch adds walk toggle I will actually be willing to play the game, so that's great news.
However if after 2 weeks a patch adresses only walking issue, than gentlemen... We're in DEEP.

Personally I believe we'll get more fixes than just walk toggle. How much though is debatable.

How come I never see people on twitter asking him about the pc control scheme?  Nothing about the lack of support for disabled gamers?  The limited mouse mapping capabilities, or the poorly designed menus?

Do twitter users only play with controllers?

I've recently been playing a lot of the multiplayer because the tactical camera is basically unplayable the way it's attached to the ground mesh and cannot tilt or angle in single player.

Bugs/feedback in PC MP:

BUGS:

1. (BUG) Sometimes you join a game in progress, it spawns you next to the entrance of a door and you cannot move.
2. (BUG) Rampage skill is bugged for reaver. If you go down while its on cooldown or while its active it no longer heals you at all making the ability and the reaver itself worthless.
3. (BUG) Game crashes (it closes with no error) or has directx crashes a lot while playing multiplayer (using gtx 980 344.75). Doesn't happen as much in single player at all for some reason.
4. (BUG) Pots are bugged. Sometimes you hit with melee or ranged basic attacks and it respawns instantly. After it does that you can't hit it again unless you're a caster with some kind of AoE spell like immolate.
5. (BUG) Lots of connecting to game failed problems.
6. (BUG) Sometimes it gets stuck when joining a game and sits there loading it forever.

(FEEDBACK - CLASSES)
The Assassin: Worthless. They are absolutely abysmal compared to every other class and every time I play threatening difficulty with them these classes are always at the bottom. The assassin is like the reavers ugly cousin. Everything it has in terms of damage, even its abilities that have cooldowns, deals far less damage than reavers dragon rage ability. It can't heal itself like the reaver can, and it can barely take any hits at all. Everything about it is worse than the reaver. Literally everything.

The legionnaire: Worthless. Simply does nothing for the group that the group can't do itself. Taunts SEEM good don't get me wrong, but its far less useful in mp and guard is worthless compared to barrier. Max 100% Guard in even threatening mode almost gets entirely depleted from only a single hit while barrier can give multiple people 3000+ hp. The legionnaire basically does no damage at all compared to other classes and other class abilities. Enemies die fairly quickly so you don't really have to tank much anyway and when you do, because guard is so bad, its not that great anyway. I've done perilous difficulty in multiplayer with a friend using templar, we did 3 and beat 3 in a row and it was way better than legionnaire because they can actually block a hallway or door for a while while casters AoE. The problem with legionnaire is once you taunt you're pretty much screwed in terms of holding agro on anything during boss fights because enemies trickle in constantly, you can't just taunt a group of enemies at the same time at the end of the level, which makes that templars hold the line ability (or whatever its called) much better at defending. Templar also gives the group buffs and whatnot and the legionnaire doesn't even do that. It's just a worthless class and it needs to be buffed or its skills need to be altered so it isn't THAT bad.

FEEDBACK - ITEMS/GOLD

1. Higher difficulties do not give you better items than playing on routine. That just makes no sense.
2. Perilous difficulty takes a while so its actually more efficient to run threatening in terms of both gold and exp. In the time it takes to do 1 perilous run you can basically do two threatening runs instead which is going to give more xp/gold and unfortunately because the item rewards don't seem to matter at all depending on the difficulty there is even less reason to play perilous.

just because it doesnt work for you little hyperbole diva its still not the majority and exactly that is stated again and again by dramaqueens. metacritic 400 people give average or bad scores, here 300 people have problems, amazon 60 average or bad reviews, and so on. but the game is broken and bad for MANY people? sry thats a wish from the few that dont like the game or a hurt by bugs. reality is that most a the players seems pretty satisfied with the title and have no bigger problems, get used to it.
but this doesnt mean they shouldnt fix especially the game breaking problems fast (no and i dont meet "umplayable" controls with that)

because you have all the numbers on who is unable to play the game right??

it seems to me you are the dramaqueen here(and some kind of an idiot too), if you are sooo happy and the game plays soooo great for you WTF are you doing here? are you trying to win the "Defender of the Lie" shield from Bioware or something? go and play you best game forever in the whole wide world, you are wasting your time and whats even more important...my time!

You all shout "fix pc controls" and what not, what about a SLI fix??????? I'm in my second playthrough and textures still flicker like crazy and fog is buged.

12 Days for this?? This should be priority number one, to fix graphic bugs and game bugs! Not adding new mechanics. FFS ask DICE to do the job for you they already fixed it in BF4.

We payed a lot of money for our SLI systems and that's something you have to deal with on PC. Your crappy FrostBye Engine is a piece of sh!t.
