Makes me really sad to see DAI for 45 bucks on amazon today when i payed 60 for it and have barely played it yet... I should have just returned it, to late now.
The game is already on sale 2 weeks after release?
Why am I not surprised. ![]()

It's not really surprising to see a 25% discount on such a wanted game when it's been out for more than 2 weeks. I'm not completely sure, but I think the "golden period" for selling a game is the first two weeks (or maybe a month?) after release - though I often see people using numbers of the first week as a measure of a game's success, so don't quote me on that. After that sales are to be expected.
What I mean is, I'm sure you were implying it's on sale because of its current state, but I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with it. ![]()
If anything I'm surprised there weren't discounts during the Black Friday week (from what I've heard, I mean, I didn't check since I'd already bought it anyway).
- Edit - Partial fault of mine, PMed

While the first month is the 'golden period', getting it on a 25% sale within the first weeks is a bit... much... for such an blockbuster. Although I must admit I'm not entirely up to speed, since even Alien: Isolation is already for a day at 50% off at Steam... So yeah, not entirely sure.
Well they already created this topic and state that they work on these issues.
Patching such things is very complicated process so not saying when the patch will be ready is very common approach.
They also could have saved time and implemented it correctly from the start too.
Well I posted a review on Amazon about all the failures of the PC version of this game so hopefully at least 1 less fool will buy the PC version. If they fix it and it becomes the game it should be, the game they advertised it to be, I will then go back and update my review.

Isnt it just a black friday discount?

Yea, I just saw this.
It should surely send a message when all the top reviews talk about how bad the pc UI is.....

Probably a Cyber Monday deal. Either way, I did a double-take when I saw it and was almost kind of tempted...but then I just re-read this thread and remind myself to see if it gets fixed first.
So, aside from Darrah, are there any other twitter feeds I should keep an eye on who are taking questions on the patch?
Laidlaw seems to be dealing mainly with content and campaign.
Also, I wonder wtf this is about...

If you're on PC and detest controllers, maybe wait until first patch. Have reason to believe it will be addressed.
Otherwise get iiiiiit.
Hmm donno. Maybe ask Jeff.

Well I discovered the gem that is Witcher 2 over the weekend. Just in time to wait for bioware to fix the PC's controls/UI/bugs. One thing is for sure though, I will never, ever, pre-order a bioware game again. Bioware lied to us very time they said they were going to cater to PC users and that is something I will not tolerate as a consumer.
It was a good, long run Bioware...

What if you are on a pc, you play a male elf and your arms are broken and glued to your ribcage? It is the same on the other platforms. Where are these elves BioWare was talking about? For anybody interested: http://forum.bioware...d-its-problems/. Avoid playing male elf at all costs: you won't be able to stand it. You have been warned.
I have a MSI GTX 760 video card and I always crash with Dragon Age Inquisition. Only way to fix it is to play on the lowest graphic settings. I have no issues with other games like Far Cry 4, etc. Just this one.

Witcher 2 was outstanding. Very excited about the 3rd this coming February.
Huh, I was just replaying the opening stages last night. How far through I get on this (third) playthrough will depend on how soon the first patch for DA:I is released and what it fixes (walk bind key on kbd/m....).
I really enjoyed the first playthrough, but after that found Geralt to be a really limited canvas. And kind of unlikeable. Beautiful game, though. And rigidly unapologetic about PC being the best platform for seeing that beauty on. Just as rigidly unapologetic about staying true to it's setting and gameplay roots. Which is nice to see. Just wish there was a bit more variety available for multiple playthroughs.
But I am also looking forward to 3. Might have to wait until after Inquisition has been played through a couple of times...and, of course, Arkham Knight...because Batman.

Yes! Btw, good job on posting here. I've been lurking on this forum since I decided to wait for a patch (about 3 hours into the game) and I agree to the vast majority of your posts. I was out of town and pretty much disconnected from the internet over the long weekend, and seeing no posts from Bioware was what made me create a username and share my sentiments.

I saw the very first 5 mins of today streaming (Exploring Hidden Places), the guy that demoed nearly all the other demoes (I can't recall his name), said this about the patch:
Patch 1: finalizing
Patch 2: Q&A
Patch3: working on It
Let's hope finalizing means very soon ![]()

I always thought people who play as an Elf go female anyway, for maximum pretty-ness ![]()
Funnily enough I avoided most of the issues by actually playing with a controller from the get-go (I have a gaming Laptop and playing with keyboard and mouse puts me way too close to the screen for my liking and my eyes are bad enough as it is).
Should you have played Witcher 1 first or has W2 a standalone story?
It is certainly possible as a stand-alone - although CD Projekt Red recently admitted the lore learning curve and control learning curve for The Witcher 2 can be a bit steep.

Questions and answers, huh? Is one of the questions "when will it be out"?
Sorry, stupid joke. You probably meant QA, btw. ![]()
