Nope, they took our money and delivered an unfinished product. No rest for them until the game does look like the one they promised to deliver.
You're a funny guy. You gonna get that patch the last. Maybe.

I wish I could like this post more than once. As usual, you inject both civility and lucidity with your posts. Thank you.
Aw, thank you! That's very sweet.
I feel like only man in the world that actually love ME series from first to the third one including the ending.... But since I hate EA I am ready for ME4 tragedy.
Oh you take that back!
BioWare made me to:
- use a controller, the first time in a BioWare game, using it since day 1, because I already saw it was a console game in the streams.
- accept that Dragon Age is no longer a RPG with tactical aspect, it's hardly a RPG in my opinion.
- accept that Dragon Age is now a bad version of Skyrim.
- never buy a game again from a company that keeps lying in Streams/Videos/Press Releases.
- hate EA even more, because obvious reasons.
-- Command and Conquer (Westwood) -> EA, game series is dead
-- Nees for Speed -> game series is dead
-- SimCity -> LIES OVER LIES, the worst I've ever played
-- Fifa -> same "quality" every year -> not dead, but meh...
-- Dragon Age -> This has nothing to do with Dragon Age, it's Skyrim Age with WoW quests --> probably also dead now, DA2 was the first step into hell
-- Battlefield -> aka Grindfield, grind your items, no anti cheat system, $$$
-- Mass Effect is waiting for being destroyed
Yeah Mass Effect will use the same engine as DAI, so expect problems there, also some of the staff from DAI has been relocated to work with the next mass effect game, so expect the same problems in ME too.
Still I’ll give them a few more days to fix the game and if they don’t well, that’s their choice, I’ll just not buy their next game that uses the same engine and same people, it’s as simple as that, it should be that simple for every one really, as long as we consumers pay for their broken games, why would they change the way they do things?
Still this seems quite negative from my side, but I have my reasons for it and it does not entirely have to do with the fact that the game is broken and as I said at the beginning, I’ll wait a few more days before giving up on them, they at least deserve that, for all the great games they have released before.
Jesus Christ people, just calm down a little. Look, I am frustrated about the bugs and stuff like that just as you guys, but suddenly this turns into a discussion about BioWare's employees ethics and how they sold their souls to the devil?
I also think the game came out with more issues then what is normally acceptable, but let's also try to be fair here: it's a huge game, and huge games with loads of content like this always lunch with a lot of problems, be it in PC or consoles. I don't know if it's because publishers pressure the developers too much or if developers just take time to properly handle the tech for their ambitions, but that's not the point. The point is it happens, and as far as we know Bioware is indeed working on it.
We just can't expect them to come up with patches at the exact time we want it. I'm not an expert, but I'd say it's not far-fetched to guess fixing stuff in a game, surprise surpise, TAKES TIME.
Also, you probably also bought for what it is, a Bioware experience. If you believe they changed the formula too much, they are not RPG centric as you like or any other stuff of the sort, then simply accept the world is not the way you want it to be and move on with your life, don't buy their stuff anymore. I can understand the frustration on some level, but some of you guys and gals here treat the game as if your whole life depended on it. Just calm down. I was extremely disappointed with FF 13 trilogy this generation as with most Square-Enix projects, and that's a bummer, but look: I'm still here, alive, finding joy and meaning in other stuff in life. No reason to flip so much, much less come to the forums to keep bashing the company as if your honor somehow depends on it.
So, for an example, Bioware made a PC game that's has too many console mechanics? Sure that's a bummer, but calm down: there's other things to life besides not using a controller to play a PC game.
Bioware and other companies do not own you your happiness, or PC roots honors or anything of the sort. They develop a product to which you decide if you should spend your money on or not. It's up to you if you're going to buy it or not, and if you dislike their approach to their games, it's still your choice to simply stop buying their products.
I agree we must make noise about technical complaints that make the game we spent our money on unplayable (though so far for me most encountered bugs and stuff are just annoying, not game breakers), but you think BioWare is not designing their games, stories or proposals right? Then, with all due respect: just shut up and look somewhere else for the stuff you want. That's life.
about BioWare's employees ethics and how they sold their souls to the devil?
Knowing that Bioware belongs to EA i thought it was a given.
I had a secret hope that they've released a crappy port on PC cause they didn't have time to finish the PC specifics features, and they'll release them some time after launch. But that was wishfull thinking and Allan intervention coupled with Bioware silence on the matter just led me to abandon any hope on the matter.
Not sure if I would say that just yet...
Knowing that Bioware belongs to EA i thought it was a given.
Okay, and that's the only part you address from my original post? Fair enough I guess.
Really wish they add more hotbars haha
, and i REALLY hope they smack the person who design this awfull looking thing they call an interface...
Still cant play the game, cant return it since the key is used so the reseller wont take it back, fix this game or give me a refund. constantly crashing with directX errors (AMD card, your provided fix for updated beta drivers doesnt solve anything.) O and stop routing your technical forums back to an EA forum which has no support personnel what so ever!!
Yeah… and EA actually sent me back to Bioware’s forum…………
So the thing is, I contacted AMD tech support, so they’ll know about the graphics issues I’ve had, so they’ll know about my specs and so forth for their next driver release. Then they recommended me to contact Bioware for support with the game, so I contacted bioware.
the only way to contact bioware was trough their @dragonage twitter account, I couldn’t find any other way to get in contact with them, that didn’t send me to EA for support, so I tweeted with the @dragonage with a few tweets back and forth and they recommended me to leave my problems at EA answer HQ at first, I told @dragonage that I already done so. So @dragonage recommended me to contact EA for direct support. The thing is, I’d already done so on the exact same place @dragonage linked me to….
EA support told me to contact Bioware on Bioware’s forum……………....... Oh and they gave me a code for 15% of on my next purchase on origin…….. That wasn’t what I was after. WHAT THE ****.
Where the hell is the customer service and support? So I tweeted back with this to @dragonage and guess what, no answer from them either lol. On top of that I submitted to EA Sweden a new support request and told them of all my issues with the game, linked them to topics on this forum and on Answer HQ and my youtube videos and I also told them on how disappointed I am of their way of handling consumer’s and because they actually thought that giving me 15% of on my next purchase on origin would somehow compensate for DAI not worikng and then closed my first support request....
Yeah no thanks, fix the game and show that you care.
This is why I’m irritated right now, not because of the game, but this behavior above.
Still I'll wait a few more days before giving up on this game in honest.
Okay, and that's the only part you address from my original post? Fair enough I guess.
Because it was addressed so many times already and people are tired to repeat the same things over and over again? But if you insist:
They've promised us a true PC experience, something that would be on par and even better than DAO. Now the game was released, and we're looking at a ****** poor console port that has no PC experience whatsoever, with botched controls and completely fµcked up gameplay. We're not whining because bioware did not cater to our expectations, we are a tad disappointed because they did not deliver on their own promises.
Now, if they were completely honest during developpement about their plans to make some action RPG which would be a Dragon Age in the name only with no PC market in mind, we wouldn't be here.

Sorry. I did not intend to re-post this.
The remote fell on my keyboard and accidentally hit the QFT button...
Ohh guys console games are a good ones as well, Souls series and Final Fantasy for example ar on my TOP ever list, well ok that is It for console games:). Sure DA:I is more action game with some rpg elements than backwards but still decent game, expectations make a difference I guess.
On the other hand games that required more thinking and had more gampelay than cutscenes are gone for AAA studios, just look for small studios: Age of Decadence( you will be really amazed how non linear this RPG is), Torment Tides of Numenera or Pillars of Eternity is just a top of an iceberg and I bet RPG fanatics will have more fun for less money with them instead of bothering with AAA companies that are aiming mainly on stricte console and young gamers market.
Time Big studios making games becouse they love games is far gone now is the era for independent developers that does not have publishers on them.
They've promised us a true PC experience, something that would be on par and even better than DAO.
Perhaps I just didn't follow Inquisition's development as much as you, but I sure don't remember they talking about a true PC experience anywhere, much less that "it was going to be better than origins". I don't even know how a company can promise one game will definetly be better than the next since taste is subjective.
Anyway, if your issue is indeed with technical hiccups such as bad controls, I'm entirely with you. I myself am finding it awkward in KB/mouse, though not that much of a gamebreaker.
My post was for the ones that are whining about how Bioware do not stay true to their expectations of what a Bioware game should be. Not to mention PC die-hard fans that turn this into "console x PC wars", which is absolutely stupid.

Ta m8 for saving me the trouble of typing a 3 A4 worth of text listing the reasons why we are writing in this thread. Much obliged!
Really?! Don't you people have a life? If not, get one! The devs at BW just finished the game and need some time to relax now. How would you feel if you had just finished building a house? Wouldn't you want to rest for some time? You can be glad that they're already working on a patch although they definitely deserve some time off now. Most of all, it takes time! The game is huge. Fixing stuff takes time. Give them some! And quit whining already! I'm not fond of the bugs and design flaws either, but I have some patience at least.
In the old days when a game went platinum this would have been the case.
A few years ago game development companies pretty much unanimously agreed to use digital distribution and online connectivity as a means of continuing game development and work. When a game launches and is released does not mean everyone packs up and goes home. Certain staff would indeed, but a lot of development continues with people working on patches and additional content.
Also; because I like to be facetious;
Don't you have a job? If you do you know that even after deadlines your work on those things continues in various capacities. Staff have holidays like normal people during various stages of development, and they'll go home each night (unless there is serious work crunching to be done - like normal people too).
Not sure if I would say that just yet...
To be fair, the free DLC fix for ME3's ending was pretty surprising. Hope it happens this time too.

"Dragon Age: Inquisition - Made for PC Gamers by PC Gamers"
I've had to say this a few times in various forums and threads over the last week or two but Dragon Age Inquisition is BioWares finest work since 2009.
The story, the characters, the sweeping choices, the humor (MY GOD THE HUMOR! I have not laughed out loud at any game like I have in Inquisition), dem feels (there is some serious strong script and voice work in places), the lore (HOLY **** THE LORE!). The secrets, the cheese wheels (the secret cheese wheels), the exploration, the art style, the graphics. It's fantastic. It oozes such delightful wonder around every corner....if Inquisition was released as an interactive choose your own adventure game - it would be rolling in millions of awards right now and it would make Telltale games look like a childs bed time story....
..but the PC combat experience, the gameplay, the controls and interface for PC are below par. Sometimes not by much, sometimes by a lot.
It's passable sure, but with so much quality throughout the rest of the game it stands out even more. Difficulty of a game shouldn't be determined by poor controls and interface.
Perhaps I just didn't follow Inquisition's development as much as you, but I sure don't remember they talking about a true PC experience anywhere, much less that "it was going to be better than origins". Oh for fiddelydoodle's sake, it's not like we've posted a crapton of videos from bioware titled "Made for PC gamers by PC gamers" where the devs were gloating about how DAI would be the ultimate PC experience, better than DAO with every DA2 flaw corrected.
EDIT: yeah, like the one above.
As much as I'm enjoying the story(164hrs across 6 Characters)I'm also feelin very let down by Bioware on the "quality" of the PC port, the M/KB bindings are a total mess compared to DAO/DA2,being limited to 8 mapped Ability's at a time just like the console version disgraceful tbh I ended up having to use a controller.then theres the performance issues stutters.crashes and poor framerate on Ultra here is my system:
Intel i5 4670K@4.4Ghz
Asus Maximus VI Formula Motherboard
32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400Mhz
Powercolor PCS+OC R9 290 x2 in Crossfire=X
EVGA Supernova G2 1300W PSU
Corsair H105 AIO
With this system I should be getting 60-100FPS on Ultra in 1920x1080 with no drops below 60fps.instead it veers wildly from 75fps to as low as 22fps and this is with it set to mantle same happens with it set to DX.After seeing the "made by PC Gamers for PC Gamers" video it makes me very disappointed with BW as a UK customer who had to wait longer than the USA players to play the game I purchased and could download on the 18th but for no good reason had to wait till the 21st to actually play the game that has been sitting on my Hard Drive for 4 days and then when I finally get to play it this is what we get.Over a full week later all we get is a "we're sorry,we screwed up again please be patient don't hate us"
I also am sick and tired of this "release a broken game and fix it later" attitude the Bioware/EA and Ubisoft among others have adopted, what I and every other PC gamer wants and are entitled to when we pay you $60 for your product is a game that bloody works and does not crash especially so when our system has the components to absolutely run this game on the highest settings without even breaking a sweat. When my high end system is having problem what hope does the guy with a $600 Budget gaming PC have ? seriously Bioware you and all these other companys need to get your act together! its long overdue and peoples patience is not infinite.
why don't these type of titles ever send out beta tests? You get it from big multiplayer games, most recently ive done the evolve alpha, and it was buggy as hell but im sure they collected a lot of useful data from us to fix it before it comes out.
Quick reminder. Just walking by. No h8.
Please fix missing mosaic pieces (esp. in Hitherlands, wolves' den) in the next patch. I believe this is a minor thing, easy to to.
Also this voice change. Please. It stops me from advancing the story and Cassandra's romance just because I want non-default Hawke (he looks nothing like default in DA2, whicn I like tbh) and manlier voice for my human warrior. Also can't get to Crestwood to finish reaver spec. 40 hours. 16 lvl. Halp.
Please tell me this will be in the next patch.

I had a feeling something like this would happen when they spent the last 2 years at every convention panel dodging the "will DAI have Multiplayer?" question only to reveal 1 month before release that actually it did have MP and actually was originally intended to be a MP only title with no SP campaign at all.Its clear from the release that we have got that their priorities were wrong too much focus on console casual nonsense like simplified "console casual friendly" interface and MP and not enough focus on making sure the game actually worked and was stable before release.
The PC port is so badly done that it makes me wonder if the people who "signed off" on this actually bothered to even test it and if they did well they need to re-evaluate their career because if I was asked to test a game that was in this sort of state I'd settle for nothing short of the people responsible being fired tbh.
Please tell me this will be in the next patch.
Nobody knows what will be in the next patch, not even the devs.
