Why isn't this a sticky in the Feedback forum?

Because the topic deviated from its purpose.

Assassin's Creed Unity is broken, so Ubisoft is giving players free DLC, season pass holders a free game

Step in the right direction Ubisoft, EA take a note.

Pardon the question from the peanut gallery but what/where are those numbers from?

I remember seeing numbers like that in article. And yes they are correct.

Bare in mind consoles are popular in US/UK/Japan - the rest of the world the PC market is waaaay bigger than consoles.

In Eastern Europe for example,  for every 50 PC gamers there is only 1 console or less.

From personal experience since I grew up in Bulgaria before moving to UK, from around 40 friends I grew up with, and yes we ALL play games even now - 0 have consoles.....

A little off topic, but is the Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 a good budget board to use with the i5-4690k?

Dont know about the Z97 boards have a z87 Maximus VI Formula myself from Asus for my 4670K@4.4Ghz have heard good things about the z97-A from Asus its seems to be the best board around for auto overclocking by software( AI-Suite III) might be worth a look.

That would be a lazy response, I don't want free DLC or a free game, I want to enjoy the game I paid for!

Honestly the control system isn't that bad. So they went with a little less Real time strategy and a little more First Person Shooter. [snip]

Well... sure. Which would be fine if the game was, in fact, an FPS not a CRPG, eh?

Just as point of reference.  AC:U was released on 11/11/2014.  They had a Day 1 patch to update some issues.  They released a second patch on 11/14/2014.  They released a third patch on 11/26/2014 (15 days from the release of the product).  And the entire time, they've had constant updates about what has been going on (http://assassinscree...ates/index.aspx).

Compare this to BioWare: There has been no first patch, no second patch, no third patch and no communication from the team since 11/26/2014.  That's about 10 days.  And it's now been 17 days since the release of the product.

There was a day one patch, a second patch is in QA, and they are working on a third patch.

Angry Joe is such a tool. He spends literally over half his review talking about how bad the UI, tac cam, and general PC port is then still gives it an 8/10. What a ****** idiot.

At least he downgrades the PC Version of the game. I read many other reviews, many of them dont even mention the PC problems. They probably dont even tried it with KB&Mouse. I rely on Angry Joe since more then 2 years.

I really hope that EVERY company in the future  will be sentenced if they dont put any efforts into ports.

Probably too late now. A company who started with great PC games, isnt developing for PC anymore. More $$ in developing for 4 consoles then for the PC.

If they are so sensitive to criticism they need to harden up. Bioware, please note that most of us aren't even criticising the game itself but the console port and lies from marketing that DA:I was optimised for PC gameplay. Today's consumers are vocal, not just gamers, and poor social media management (absent social media management seems to be the case at the moment) is simply going to leave you lagging behind your competitors.

This shouldn't even have happened in the first place. But that happens if you try to make Assassin's Creed the new Madden/Fifa.

Newsflash: MDK2 and KotOR were primarily developed as console games with PC in mind (and released on console first). Jade Empire and Mass Effect were released on PC much later than the Xbox versions, and not even ported by BioWare themselves. And NOW Bioware isn't developing for PC anymore you say?

This is the kind of post that assures me that Allan, and anyone else who might be involved in working on the upcoming patches, have stopped reading or have been mandated to ignore this thread.

Because you respond to this.  If you have any self respect, or integrity about your work, you stand up for yourself and address these accusations, policy(ies) be damned.

Exactly!  :)

I already said in this thread game publishers can be an obstinate breed, A little anecdote

Spoiler

Now, I relayed this experience not for bravado you understand but because I believe integrity is core to being true to oneself, to who and what you are. For the studio I took a risk but I didn't do this unilaterally I wanted everyone's view and subsequently that's the action I took. It meant more to us at the time than getting paid frankly and because its a game some publishers play, we did not want to be part of it - plus its a slippery slope.

This quote is from the OP

"We’ll release further details in the coming days and will continue to monitor your concerns.

Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate your contribution to making Dragon Age: Inquisition a better overall experience."

So the days could be many but days implies a few otherwise it should have said weeks. It doesn't matter whether Mark or Allan actually wrote this in the OP or whether one of them (or someone) was told to write this but I believe they have a mandate now to respond to this community through this statement.

So I told this story to show that sometimes no matter who your lords and masters are (the money lenders or power brokers) that occasionally you just have to grow a pair - so c'mon BioWare fulfill your promise or mandate and give this community details!

So, here's my plan on how one can get some answers. It includes duct tape, nails, gasoline, camera, and ticket to Edmonton...

So.. given my experience with the game on a two year old machine it is difficult to give credibility anyone who says 'everyone' is having a bad experience. The worst glitches I've seen in the game are NPCs holding hammers sideways and, rarely, mouse hovers and clicks that fail to register properly, primarily during conversations. And the console command key is too easy to hit in combat. Looks like a magnificent game from my seat. Sorry if most posters here aren't having such a great time with it, but maybe it will help to recognize that not all systems are experiencing the problems.

Then again I'm not trying to run the game with thirty thousand other apps running in the background.

Exactly this.

Even the appalling state of AC:U didn't prevent those devs from releasing speedy updates and keeping in constant communication throughout.

EA/Bioware are showing a level of contempt towards their customers that I cannot believe. How far Bioware especially have fallen :(
