What exactly is the point of this post?

 

I'm just curious, I don't disagree with any of it.  It's just....

He's just saying people jump the gun and keep assuming the worst, spreading rumors and hate and filling the forums with baseless speculation and over reacting on the drama. Even if the developers come here now as everyone wants, they will just be greeted with insults, trolling and bashing for their work instead of actual constructive criticism, thus the  "because all communication will become negative." line. It will only make people here go crazier, and the fewer ones that are reasonable are the only ones who'll be happy in the end. I don't think there's anyway to be clearer about this. Seriously, what's not to get?

Why shouldn't we be mad. They advertised the tactical mode like it was going to bring back origins gameplay, only its nothing like that at all and is instead a complete frustration to use.

 

Well, I made a thread on the feedback section about it, dunno if the devs would even read it though, sad if not.

Yea, I understood him. I was just thinking about a bunch of other convo's at once. I thinks he's right, obviously. I just think that Biowares lack of communication has made it inevitable.

Perhaps. Though to be fair, they're probably still hurt by allowing communication for ME3's ending and DA2. And honestly, who could blame them?

I'm sorry, but coming from an industry where my customers are also very vocal, silence is unacceptable. It's just foolish to neglect all your customers based on a few. Hiding in a closet waiting for them to stop complaining isn't very professional nor good for public relations.

I could. I wasn't here for DA2's release, and I didn't play ME3.

I wasn't a member of the forums (just made an account this week), but I did lurk around for a bit. It was nasty. I also didn't like ME3's ending, but I respected their choice to end it however they wanted. And it honestly wasn't so bad to the point of the...passionate reactions that followed. 

And don't even get me started on DA2's case. It's issues were NOWHERE grave enough for the amount of hate it followed.

Wow. In the meantime of waiting for the patch i created a new character that looks like "Khaleesi" from "Game of Thrones". (similar to this: http://imgur.com/a/sAeSn )

Playing around with the char editor for about 1,5 hours and tried building other chars. Was quite fun to get the look right :-)

 

 

Started the game and at the end of first cutscene CTD with DX error. -  OK, had to restart PC and game and guess what? _ No savegame. No character. No "Khaleesi".

Time wasted ;-(

 

I played the game before with my human warrior about 20 hours (until i gave up because of bad controls), never had any CTD or other major technical problems.

 

Don't know what else to say...

 

Please give us some info about the patch!?

Well I thought the original endings were bad, and I can handle a lot. But I also thought they truly made up with the Extended Cut. Sure it's not the ideal happy ending but it was a whole lot better.

I agree though that there were quite a few fellows overreacting just a little bit...

Those issues were both bad enough for some people to feel that passionately about it.

I don't think they were good enough to warrant you defending them, but that's what opinions are all about eh?

I had that happen while I was redesigning my Hawke (took me about 45 minutes to make it perfect) then... "display driver has stopped working" -.-

Thankfully I "fixed" the issue since then by switching to Windowed Fullscreen mode.

Ah SpecH82, sorry for the late response.

Well I tried in DX11 for a while, and it did solve the 'artificing' as far as I can tell. But like I said it causes some flickering on 'a limited amount of surfaces'. It isn't that annoying really, and the moon is stable, and so are the fps.

It's not the cable, it's a Mantle issue. I'm certain of that...

Funny thing is: when I changed the renderer to DX11, and tried to restart the game, it stopped with an apparently now famous 'DirectX error'. Only that time around though. Never had this issues using Mantle.

What's really going to be interesting is when the patch comes out, the amount of time spent on the patch compared to the actual bugs and issues it addresses.

 

2 weeks is a looong time...  if some of the little things, like walk toggle for pc, are not included?

We'll all be disapointed, AGAIN x)

Luckily there were Steam-Sales last week. I bought Divinity: OS und Europa Universalis 4. Who needs DA: I, i dont even feel the itch to play it. Not anymore...

 Even with 20 patches i dont think i will play it anymore in the near future. I had no clue D:OS is so great. Its a really good substitute. I wouldnt even care if EAware dropped the PC complete at this point.. The only interesting one was always Dragon Age and now its dead. For me. 

Mass Effect ended with the 3rd part for me. No need for a fourth one. It´s just cashgrabbing and will destroy Mass Effect as a franchise for good. At least i think it will turn out like this. 

 

I dont need such stinky sale-tactics. I hope you dont either.

 

And i hope you guys will never forget what happened here. Especially when Mass Effect 4 comes out. Before you buy it, just remember. Remember what you are worth in their eyes. We, as Pc-gamers, are 3rd grade costumers. Our money stinks and isnt worth taking. But i know enough publishers who are happy for my money. I will go to them. You should go too.

 

I feel deeply sorry for all you guys (me included) that we got so ripped off. I followed this thread since page 1 and for me its time to move on. 60€ burned, but i learn quick from mistakes. And pre-ordering from EAware was a collossal one. 

 

I hope you guys get the patches and improvements you all deserve. I am grateful to all the people who keep shouting and screaming. This thread needs to stay alive. 

 

And i hope you guys will remember. Remember this gigantic **** You in your Face. Tell your friends about it.  If people keep buying from EAware after this, then there is no hope left and the market will never change.

Didn't they say early this week that the patch was already in QA? Surely it can't be that far off, though I have no idea how long the console certification nonsense can take (and of course they won't give it to us before they can release it on consoles too).
