I wasn't a member of the forums (just made an account this week), but I did lurk around for a bit. It was nasty. I also didn't like ME3's ending, but I respected their choice to end it however they wanted. And it honestly wasn't so bad to the point of the...passionate reactions that followed.

And don't even get me started on DA2's case. It's issues were NOWHERE grave enough for the amount of hate it followed.

I honestly never got the big deal about the ME 3 ending. Ok, so the last 15 minutes of a game I got 28 hours of enjoyment from weren't great. So what is that? .8 % of my time spent playing the game was unenjoyable. It's UNDENIABLY the best of the bunch mechanically, Improved on mechanics introduced in ME 2 (which were the reason ME 2 was a substantially better shooter than ME 1 was) while bringing back some of "baby with the bathwater" mechanics that were tossed in the transition from 1 - 2 like weapon mods. The story right up to the end was also very well done. The Mordin story line in particular was wrapped up extremely well, but basically all of the party member missions were spectacular as they were in 2. ME 3 had SO MUCH going for it that what on the whole was a very small portion of it going horribly wrong just wasn't that big a deal to me.

Why do you even need a patch after 2 weeks lol? It's a single player rpg (with tablet multiplayer). I've already finished a 100% playthrough. Why should i play this game ever again? Only to see the other options? I better go youtube for that. I don't want to grind all the boring sidequests again.

Let's be honest, why do you even need a patch after two weeks?
The games lifecycle is already over like farcry or unity.
What do you do after the patch? Play the whole game again, only because you can walk now with m/kb?
If you can't even start the game, a patch will not fix this, it's your system. It runs fine for the most players.
It's not like this is a mmo with events or something. I'm only here to see how long they take to release a patch but honestly I don't even care about "fixes".

Not only have I suffered playing this crappy console port, because I havent been having any crashes, and actually got used to the controls, on casual play, so I can get a feel for the game before the patch is released then start over when the patch is released..

But now Ive come to a point where I have to make the most aweful, game breaking decision Ive ever had to make in a game..

And.. God.. I hate this game.. :(

I feel your pain.

Alistair as Warden, huh? *pat pat*

the problem was that very small portion of it going wrong was the entire conclusion of all 3 games. That's why it was such a big deal. For people who imported characters through all 3 games, getting that ending made it all seem pointless.

Wow. In the meantime of waiting for the patch i created a new character that looks like "Khaleesi" from "Game of Thrones". (similar to this: http://imgur.com/a/sAeSn )

Playing around with the char editor for about 1,5 hours and tried building other chars. Was quite fun to get the look right :-)

Nice.  But the only way I'd do it is if I could also have my character sound like this....

There was a day one patch, a second patch is in QA, and they are working on a third patch.

Prove it. There was no patch for PC. 184 pages ago we were told they were working on it. Rather wait for rain in Marble bar

Because some people can't even run the game past the start screen? Or maybe because some people (like me) refuse to play until the crap stuff is fixed because we can't enjoy the game properly? Or maybe because the devs fùcked up?

I believe he's talking about the day one patch, the one not included in the "three patches" we've heard about on twitch.

Who knows...they could have been perfect and then they went..."hmmm...no good...the gamepad console community might start a war with us if the kb+mouse are in better shape than theirs...."

One can wish, but no. If that were true, they could just port back to what they had, tweak it, done. The time it's taking + radio silence indicates PC KB&M was always considered "whatevs, we can fix it in post or they can lump it."

Haha let's be realistic, there will be no patch before end of next week, and patch note will be like 10 stability fix max !

We'll all be disapointed, AGAIN x)

best to not hope for anything, and maybe, just maybe, we'll have at least ONE good surprise for Xmas ? x)

Hell with that.  I paid $75 USD.  I didn't invest $75 in freaking hopes for a Christmas miracle

Some of us play a game through more than once - and in the case of DA:I, not even that. I tend to play the same game, over and over again. If there are mods, even better (still playing Skyrim). I may not finish all the games I start; but I like to play around with different classes, party combo's etc.

Since for me, the controls are so horrible, that the game is unplayable, I have not made it past the very first boss fight - on casual!

Therefore, a patch to fix the controls would make this game actually playable; and I might see whether the game is as good as many people say it is.

If you just play through a game once, well, that's your option. But the patch is a utter necessity for me.

And if they don't patch the controls then I will no longer buy another Bioware product, ever. Clearly, if they do not change the control scheme, then customers like me are no longer their target audience. So I will have to go elsewhere.

For those still complaining about the controls. I tried calm and collected a few pages back and got flamed for it, so in short: The controls aren't perfect but they are playable. If you don't like it, too damn bad. It DOES work on Mouse and Keyboard. You spoiled little ingrates.

Yes, we should be grateful that Bioware decided to, for reasons unfathomable, not include things they've had in their previous PC releases. Things that have simply become "standard" features in PC games. Yes, that's definitely something we should be grateful for.

It's called self control.  And getting your money's worth.

As in, why would I bother playing a second if everything I see is, "Needs patch!",  "Needs fixing!" ?

Haven't played a minute of this yet and haven't watched a single spoiler.

There is a difference between playable and enjoyable.

Nope, we had promises from Laidlaw, words like "By PC gamers for PC gamers, True PC legacy, the tac cam is just like in Origins, PC players will be pleased" etc... ALL LIES!!!! that's why we are upset. The controls are playable, but not enjoyable, why the fùck dit they even attempt to reinvent something that worked perfectly in the last two games?

No, we should just be grateful that Bioware even lets peasants like us spend money on their products. We aren't even worthy of licking the expletive deleted from the boot heels of our Bioware overlords.

These kinds of comments do not help, anyone. It is like saying to a color blind person, "You can't tell red from green? You are a spoiled little ingrate!"

Just because something works for you, does not mean that it will work for someone else.

Bioware changed the control scheme from the first two games. It is not unreasonable or being "entitled" to expect the same controls again. And if you pre-ordered and got something different from what you had every reason to believe would be the same, then you have a right to complain; especially if it makes the game unplayable.

It's like ordering a steak and instead of cutlery, getting chopsticks. Some people can make it work. But others can't. Since you were ordering in a steak house and not a Chinese restaurant, the customer has ever right to ask for a knife and fork; even of a lot of other customers think the chop sticks are just fine.

I just want to eat my steak!

I guess those with disability issues and can't play the game with its current controls are "spoiled little ingrates" too, very nice to know.

To be honest, I don't think the controls in Origins were perfect either. I mean, they were great for the tactical combat, but not so pleasant when you just wanted to explore the world. For me the best controls would be to have two control schemes: one exactly the same as Origins, and a second scheme with WASD movement + mouselook, so basically what you have now in DA:I when you hold down RMB. And you could switch between the two schemes as you pleased. That would make the game perfect to me.

So there were story elements outside of the ending that you had issues with? Cause basically everything I ever read about the game was nothing but glowing praise for everything before the magical star baby, and then everyone lost their expletive deleted.
