Why do you even need a patch after 2 weeks lol? It's a single player rpg (with tablet multiplayer). I've already finished a 100% playthrough. Why should i play this game ever again? Only to see the other options? I better go youtube for that. I don't want to grind all the boring sidequests again.

Let's be honest, why do you even need a patch after two weeks?
The games lifecycle is already over like farcry or unity.
What do you do after the patch? Play the whole game again, only because you can walk now with m/kb?
If you can't even start the game, a patch will not fix this, it's your system. It runs fine for the most players.
It's not like this is a mmo with events or something. I'm only here to see how long they take to release a patch but honestly I don't even care about "fixes".

The thing is that people, like me for example, didn't play the main quests or didn't finish the game yet, because for 60 euros I really want to have the best quality for the game. If you like to spend your money and go thru a game that offers half the quality for which you payed for, then you should better crack them at this point. Buying and playing them, without having that 100% satisfaction that the game you are playing is offering all the potential that it can offer is pretty sad..but hei..we all have different standards I guess, maybe you get 100% satisfaction from a not top quality and unfinished product.

I played DAO exactly as you're describing Alligator, RMB to turn camera around and WASD to move, wasn't that far off from my years of wow. And in case of battle i zoomed out into tac cam, worked like a charm. Same for DA2 (50+ hours in there), except no tac cam there. But the controls in DAI are just wonky for no reason and make no sense in general.

I guess those with disability issues and can't play the game with its current controls are "spoiled little ingrates" too, very nice to know.

Ok, ok, even if he replies I will let it go.

Even if the crying over the ending is a little ridiculous.

Ok, I'm done for real now.

I feel your pain.

Alistair as Warden, huh? *pat pat*

Yes.. And Ive come to a point, after 50 hours of sh*tty game play, horrendous controls, nonexistant tac cam (I dont even use it TBH), and now this..

Im pretty sure this is the straw that broke the camels back for me. I cant make this decision. So unless theres a DLC that allows this choice to somehow .. change.. Im pretty sure after this Im done with Dragon Age. I dont know how to use the spoiler button. Im devastated... WHY?!?! .... Done....

I agree that the controls in DA:I make no sense at all. I mean, in the normal 3rd person mode, what's even the point of having a mouse pointer? Clicking on things doesn't do anything unless you're near the object you want to interact with, and then you can just press F, so you just don't need the pointer for anything. Would be better to have a normal mouse look by default in the 3rd person mode.

Seriously.  Those spoiled veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq with amputations.  I wish they'd just stop complaining.

Can't force myself to play this game. Just can't... The game is probably good, but what use is that if I need to go through miles of barb wire to get there...

That UI, those controls... why?

It does seem a bit strange how few keys (particularly on the mouse) could be remapped. I mean.... I had no issue setting these keys in Mass Effect 2/3. I know that was a different engine, but they clearly knew about these.

You live in a world of teenagers and college people.  That is a smaller world; in my world I am one of two adults who bought the game on release and I know half a dozen more who will be getting it for Christmas, because they plan out presents and, like, a budget and stuff.  Try to wrap your brain around the fact that people with families and jobs have barely gotten started yet.  Some will not until Christmas Day.  Your whole post is out of touch with reality.

To be honest, I don't think the controls in Origins were perfect either. I mean, they were great for the tactical combat, but not so pleasant when you just wanted to explore the world. For me the best controls would be to have two control schemes: one exactly the same as Origins, and a second scheme with WASD movement + mouselook, so basically what you have now in DA:I when you hold down RMB. And you could switch between the two schemes as you pleased. That would make the game perfect to me.

Exploring the world?  In Origins?  Did I skip the level where you could go on a hike along the Coastlands?

No, sorry, I should've said the controls from Origins wouldn't be as good for exploration in Inquisition.

I disagree.  LMB+RMB would be perfect in Inquisition.

Why not? Holding the RMB to move the camera is the standard in pretty much every mmo (RMB+LMB also works fairly well).

So there were story elements outside of the ending that you had issues with? Cause basically everything I ever read about the game was nothing but glowing praise for everything before the magical star baby, and then everyone lost their expletive deleted.

We're going off topic, but I'll tell you (some of) the issues I had with the last installment: Please don't mind the order. I didn't touc the game for almost two years.

- Everyone acting like its the first time they ever heard of the Reapers. I mean the high officials, not random Joe. The intro and prologue are absolutely terrible. Or made for people who never played ME.

- Crucible. The mega-space-magic-weapon which solves every problem related to the Reapers.

- HumanZ are awesome, Earth is awesome. So awesome that everyone let their own planet burn just to help humans. Take Earth back go, go, go!!! Why? Because reasons.

- Cerberus. Cerberus everywhere. A small rogue organisation, which is said to have spent mot of their money into resurrecting Jesus Shepard and building a copy of the Normandy, has suddenly the ability to arm, equip and send multiples armies through the galaxy and troll every.single.known.civilization. Even the Reapers. Simultaneously. You spend most of the time fighting Cerberus rather than the Reapers. Also TIM going full retard. Weakening the resistance again the Reapers in a time where he needed some time to achieve his experiments. Never go full retard.

- Citadel Coup: the most nonsensical mission ever.  Even if TIM or Udina took over the Citadel, no one would have followed them or sent any reinforcement to Earth.

Also Space Ninja.

-Lost control of (my) Shep:

Example 1: The kid. Feel sad.

Example 2: The dreams. Feel sad! Why don't you feel sad? Feel SAD dammit!

Example 3: VS on Mars. Well (s)he got beaten up by sexbot. So what? Feel sad. IT IS SAD. See how Shepard IS sad!

Example 4: Steve getting shot down on Earth. My Shep would normally be like Yeah, too bad. Whatever. But no, She cried and shout for someone I've never ever given a rat's *ss about to begin with.

...

- Diana Allers.

The list is very long but I'll let it at that.

I so love this! I played Origins so many times. Used to turn Alistairs AI off. Could not stand him! Myself, Morrigan and Leliana were enough for any enemy.

I don't disagree with you, but what I would prefer for exploration would be to use WASD for movement + mouselook (without the need to keep holding RMB), and for combat I would prefer AD to rotate the camera around my character and LMB+RMB to tell my character where to go or who to attack. But in the end, if they just implemented the Origins controls, it would be good enough, because then I could just tweak it to my liking with AutoHotkey.

the problem was that very small portion of it going wrong was the entire conclusion of all 3 games. That's why it was such a big deal. For people who imported characters through all 3 games, getting that ending made it all seem pointless.

So many people complaining about the mouse and keyboard. I can't understand why. It works fine for me. The only issue I have is that sometimes when going to the war table or in conversations I have to alt-tab out of the game and go back in to get the mouse working again. Fix that and the issue where npcs companions fall through the floor and I have to save and reload to fix it. If those 2 things get fixed I'll be a happy camper.
