Hmm.. Divinity or Elder Scrolls? lol...

Fallout 3 / Fallout New Vegas, universe fits better to what's happening here right now... ;)

Exploring the world?  In Origins?  Did I skip the level where you could go on a hike along the Coastlands?

Speaking for myself Origins had it about right. Decent sized areas to explore but not so large that you forgot about the main plot. This is the same reason I prefer Arkham Asylum to its two follow-ups.

I don't disagree with you, but what I would prefer for exploration would be to use WASD for movement + mouselook (without the need to keep holding RMB), and for combat I would prefer AD to rotate the camera around my character and LMB+RMB to tell my character where to go or who to attack. But in the end, if they just implemented the Origins controls, it would be good enough, because then I could just tweak it to my liking with AutoHotkey.

Maybe I'm confused by your description, but I can't tell if you realize that lmb+rmb allows you to not only move forward, but also steer left-right, since rmb (mouselook) is being held down simultaneously.  No need to even touch WASD.  Just move the mouse left-right as you go.

Apologies if you already knew that.

So many people complaining about the mouse and keyboard. I can't understand why. It works fine for me. The only issue I have is that sometimes when going to the war table or in conversations I have to alt-tab out of the game and go back in to get the mouse working again. Fix that and the issue where npcs companions fall through the floor and I have to save and reload to fix it. If those 2 things get fixed I'll be a happy camper.

I guarantee you this is related to why we can't map to our thumb buttons on the mouse.

Somebody didn't program a basic Windows resource into the code or something...

The mouse buttons also suddenly become irresponsive during conversations at random. Thankfully that is a minor issue as you just have to click both mouse buttons a few times and it's back to normal.

Oh, I never realised I could do that in Origins. Thanks for letting me know.

It might be possible with AutoHotkey to map actions to your additional mouse buttons.

Never seen a studio (from which I bought games) caring that less about their playerbase...

They spammed few times here about patch that is coming but what else do you expect from them? Patch is coming and that is It. It's being finalized at the moment and if you want feedback just go to twitter, they are answering questions all the time.

Just curious, does Bioware even have forum moderators nowadays?

In the past I remember in the old social network, there were Bioware devs but also moderators who could give out news if the devs were busy

Please enlighten me, when does the patch come, what will be included/fixed, what are their plans for the future, do they feel sorry for the bad pc version? /irony off ;)

Really hoped for a patch this week, for being able to play that game...

So that's it? Simple policing, no community interaction?

These kinds of comments do not help, anyone. It is like saying to a color blind person, "You can't tell red from green? You are a spoiled little ingrate!"

Again, it's not like saying that. At all. Not that I'm defending the other guy's post, but you need a serious work on your metaphors, dude.

At Bioware / EA - Since a few weeks there is the question, who's gonna tell the people the truth about the patch in the forum and it's like this:

One can wish, but no. If that were true, they could just port back to what they had, tweak it, done. The time it's taking + radio silence indicates PC KB&M was always considered "whatevs, we can fix it in post or they can lump it."

That's a complete assumption of yours with no substantial evidence aside from the silence, which by itself is not an evidence of anything. Jesus...

For those still complaining about the controls. I tried calm and collected a few pages back and got flamed for it, so in short: The controls aren't perfect but they are playable. If you don't like it, too damn bad. It DOES work on Mouse and Keyboard. You spoiled little ingrates.

Lol. I actually think you got a point,.. Okay, maybe half a,... well, lets say a tenth of a point,.. nah, say,.. know what, let's say a hundredth of a point.  ...I mean,.. Eh, um, well, better drop it.

- Anyway, but you miss a point: They still don't have to like it! And they don't. And people who don't like it, will keep bitching forever. Karma. It comes around. And there's nothing you can do about it.

Now me, I patiently expect a patch will come and fix some bugs. Then maybe another patch fixing more bugs. I don't really expect the PC interface to be fixed to a satisfactory state, anytime soon. Bugs take precedence. I understand that.

But straight adaption of UI from console to PC crawls like bugs under my skin. I hate it, to put it very mildly. And know what? There's lots and lots and lots of people like me. But now I'm patiently waiting. I have no immediate plans to join in on the complaints and anger. But I do think someone had it coming.
