I still can't play the game without lag and crashing.  I've tried every fix I can and the game just isn't playable for me, so I uninstalled it from my pc.  I really have lost faith in Bioware at this point. Their lack of response as a company for the last few weeks certainly gives the impression that they just don't care. There is still a lot in their games I enjoy.  I played this game on a friends xbox for a while and it's a fun game but it feels like an action game designed for console. As this isn't the type of pc game I have come to love and expect from Bioware, I am left disappointed.

http://www.incgamers...sition-pc-claim  .  I feel like Bioware flat out lied to pc gamers.  From what I can tell it isn't a bad game but it doesn't have many of the elements that worked in the last 2 games, and it seems like they keep simplifying things which, instead of giving me a better gaming experience, leaves me wanting to play one of their previous games instead.   This would indicates that they don't understand a good portion of their audience except for the fact of all the marketing bull.... they fed us during development to sell us on the type of game we wanted, only to give us something that didn't line up with those claims.

Awful lot of people acting like spoilt children in this thread. They are working on the fixes and there will be a patch soon. Must be very disheartening to produce an amazing deep game like this and to come here and read this nonsense. The people that made this game are human beings that put a lot of effort into producing this and they should be proud.

OK some people are having technical issues and I undestand your frustration but please get a grip.

DAI just won GOTY 2014 but if we take a closer look:

Golden joy stick award has more weight than this 'game of the award'.

http://thegameawards.com/nominees/

Just look at the judges, nothing but international media you know like the ones that gave DA 2 such excellent reviews. Looks more like EA paid to win GOTY.

Some people? It quite clearly appears to be an overwhelming number of people.

Sure, some could be more civil, but they paid their own money(unlike spoilt children) expecting to receive a finished product.

The most unfortunate thing is that these technical issues are central to the enjoyment of this game as a whole. Hence the outraged reactions.

This game being so 'amazing' and 'deep' is irrelevant if one is unable to experience said game, no?

Haha, when the patch is here the same people will praise the maker. But seriously, we all want the issues to be patched. We all want that patch soon. And I am sure Bioware is working hard on a patch. In some way I can understand why there is no more response from Bioware. Regardless what Bioware is doing or saying, it is always totally wrong, they don't have any clue what people want or what the game needs.  ;)

If refund is the only language they understand, so be it. We have all become beta testers....

I have a new pc.  Has the latest drivers and we have double checked everything.  I spend more time rebooting my pc than I do in the game.  If I am lucky I can stay in for 5-10 minutes then the screen goes black and I have to shut down the PC.  My friend I live with is in a network and he stays connected and can enjoy the game.  Me I am not so lucky.  We even tried to set DAI to Windows 7 compatability rather than Windows 8.1 that it is.  No difference.

I am starting to get convinced that the issue is NVIDIA and Origin itself.  I bet the non digital version is not like this.

Whatever the case if this 5-10 minutes of play continues I may have to quit trying which is a shame because it is an awesome game if only I could actually play it.

Holy simplicity. The game sold. High scores game magazines will allow the game to continue to successfully sell. What is a patch?

btw are there any pc game centered sites /magazines out there which do not jump on every hype train and have in general rather strict evaluation criterias?

Customers like you are the main reason why players who pre-ordered the game are being seen as beta testers today. I bet you freak out if you only see 2 pcs of Oreos in a 50 pack and run to Walmart for a refund.

In my country, 70$ is 6-day salary for half of the country. You should understand what that means if you are earning your own money.

Exactly.

I started the game and i couldn't go on the first big map. Too many crashes.

I erased the saves and im waiting for the patch for restarting the game.

So for me it was not a november release, and i preordered the game too.

I have every rights to be frustrated and angry, and EA still doesn't give a patch date.

Please give us the ability to hide map markers on the minimap and world map. Knowing where everything is metagaming, it ruins the sense of discovery. Why should my character know where a note on a corpse is that will give me a quest. Let us have the option to find that stuff ourselves. Please do this Bioware, or give the players the ability to mod the game so we can do it ourselves.

Working day and night to find the problem you are talking about, replicate,  ensure it's repeatable then find a fix for it, test to see that other platforms are NOT affected, pass it to QA for acceptance testing, then get the console makers to obtain certification.

Oh.. you didn't know about console certification ?

.....

Why would I, or most people here, care about that? Didn't they have QA before releasing the game? How did they even miss, or decided to ship the game despite of, the bugs and technical problems?

I'm buying a product, I'm expecting said product to work as advertised. Instead, I am getting an over priced beta test. Would you sit idle waiting for things to happen if you buy a toaster that doesn't toast bread?

This should not be tolerable by gamers. Almost every game nowadays ships as a half baked product that requires a patch or two to become playable.

Hey guys don't know if this help but I resolved all my issue about stuttering and crashing easily .
-Make sure no program running in background (even the antivirus) use something like game booster.(This really help REALLY!)
- don't use the 30 fps fix it create more problem than fixing
-use sweetx and put off game post process and anti aliasing
-tessellation high
-depend of your PC you want to change veg and terrain in high instead of ultra(anyway with sweetX on there no big difference)
-texture flickering if you use sli wait new drivers........
Point 1 for me was the key anything that run in background make the game crash ,I mean anything!
Hope it help and still waiting a patch .
Most game breaking stuff was my qunari experience.....
No armor design and horrible choices....

Thousands and thousands of people listen to Justin Bieber. Doesn't mean it's good music.

Just because something works for you, doesn't mean other people don't have issues with it.

Unbelievable, how some people have absolutely zero empathy for fellow gamers.

...

I LOVED Lords of the Fallen, but my every review, anywhere, started with acknowledging issues and sympathizing with people who could barely play it because of crashes.

lol acting like spoiled entitled children?, we payed  a lot of money for this game, we -are- entitled to a working product. If you bought a phone and it was sent to you buggy as hell, flickering, dying constantly etc etc you would be singing a different tune, so gtfo telling people that they should be "happy" with a broken product that messes up their pc.

Why do you even need a patch after 2 weeks lol? It's a single player rpg (with tablet multiplayer). I've already finished a 100% playthrough. Why should i play this game ever again? Only to see the other options? I better go youtube for that. I don't want to grind all the boring sidequests again.

Let's be honest, why do you even need a patch after two weeks?
The games lifecycle is already over like farcry or unity.
What do you do after the patch? Play the whole game again, only because you can walk now with m/kb?
If you can't even start the game, a patch will not fix this, it's your system. It runs fine for the most players.
It's not like this is a mmo with events or something. I'm only here to see how long they take to release a patch but honestly I don't even care about "fixes".

Lifetime ends when the last DLC is out. If they really want PC gamers to buy those they better start patching. I won´t spend a single coin until the controls are fixed, changed, patched, optimized...whatever you want to call that.

now i read the game messes up your ssd and gpu... no wonder my pc has been making weird noises. I removed my gpu to try and figure out what was wrong with it, but its since i started playing DAI that these issues began.
