With the return of my game via Amazon. My voice will be heard in Q3 consolidated sales report.
It sure the hell is not being heard by Bioware here.

To be fair, it didn't had a lot of competition.
2014 was a very "meh" year for gaming.
Also, the game itself isn't really bad... It's just terrible on PC controls.
That being said, if the witcher 3 had come out this year, DA:I would not have won that's for sure.
its so funny, people are burned by the hype again and hyping just the next big thing they assume it will be great. thats what i mean with gamers get what they deserve
GOOD POST!
EA does not want to lose money by pissing on Bioware customers. That is not how they are selling their stock. The budgets given from the parent to the child does not force design decisions this late. EA was lied to as much as PC customers were by the Bioware Division marketing. The difference is that EA does not play Bioware games and are not responsible for Bioware Division QA.
There is no conspiracy by EA to harm the PC market - or drive Bioware customers toother developers.
BIOWARE does that all on its own. It is responsible for the development of this game. It is responsible for the marketing messages sent out for this game. Its people are responsible for the words that come out of their mouth.
EA can/will make changes in Bioware management structure when/if Bioware Division operates at a loss.
THAT IS WHY I RETURNED MY GAME. THE GAME DID NOT GO TO EA. IT WENT BACK TO BIOWARE.
The sales report will get back to EA.
EA may not want to lose money, but at this point I honestly don't think they can help themselves. They are a HORRENDOUSLY run company across the board.
The complete bungling of their NBA Live franchise, where for two years running they were in active development before benching the game both years and making no money from it.
Absolutely dropping the ball on Sim City and Sims 4 and then Battlefield being nearly unplayable for weeks on launch.
They've lost several major court cases between Robin Antonick and Ed Obannon decisions the floodgates may well have been opened.
Their original IP drive the ea partners program, from a couple of years back completely fell on it's face with the vast majority of games released under the banner under performing.
Oh, and their stock has been plummeting for years.
Good intentions aside, the company is a poorly run mess.

Heh well, many of us are stubborn I guess, until we are burnt.
I am still stubborn with Bioware, and if the first patch fixes all my gripes, then I will probably still pre-order ME4. If not, then I guess I would have learnt my lesson. Would be a shame though because I would rather support the game's release by pre-ordering, but not if I'm going to feel conned at the end of it.
Even with ME3, while I hated the last 10 minutes I felt Bioware did forfill its promises to give branching endings - as I felt the WHOLE GAME was the ending, not just the last few minutes. However, with DA:I's marketing "By PC gamers for PC gamers" and then recieving a console port... it has really rubbed off on me the wrong way that even ME3 never did. I'm not even normally this vocal when it comes to games.

Well I wouldn't trade sh!t for the games you mentioned with DA:Origins. Because they're not role-playing games. This is a role-playing games game forum. Inquisition is supposed to be an RPG for computer.
And I think the problem of this game rests on candied-ass developers and the allocated budget Bioware Division spent that EA kindly (some would say generously) gave to them.
Stock is up, by the way.

Consider that it might have been possible for EA and Bioware marketing NOT to know what game the developers were developing.... But certainly that cannot be said about the developers.
Also this is a good analysis about RPGs on computer:

Again, the (on-going, as far back as Awakenings) issues speak more of Bioware Division than EA.
How nice it must be for the Bioware Mod on this forum to see you all attacking each other instead of badgering him
How nice it would be if we could work together and try to find solutions.
While your work outside of the normal line of duty is admirable, Allan... shouldn't managing the community fall under the purview of the Community Manager(s)? You've posted more relevant information on here in 24 hours than anyone whose job it is to interact with the Community has in the last twelve months.

I have been on vacation this week (thus why I havent been posting as much). So I dont know what the latest is.
To the question "Can you give us an ETA?"
Oh yeah. Good devs release patches after the release. Bioware devs relax on vacation for weeks.
GOOD POST!

Dunno if you're a troll or being serious. I hope it's the first.
Otherwise you would be the first person I've seen defending EA. The first. Ever.
So, you think those expensive micro transactions (really expensive, just look at that crap) for a few platin were BioWare's decision (rhetorical question)?
I worry for the future of Bioware if they under-perform, and even though I want them to succeed, I can't just blind myself and buy inferior products compared to others in the market. Westwood and Maxis are already dead, I don't want Bioware to join their ranks. People getting refunds saddens me, and it saddens me too that currently I'm the only one among my mates playing it, most are waiting for the patch to fix PC controls before they buy, and I don't blame them - in fact, I applaud their wisdom, and encourage others to do the same if they want the best experience possible with a Bioware story.
*sigh* All this is just sad, especially knowing how much love the artists and actors and writers put into this game, story, environments and characters. Hopefully EA acknowledges at least, that if Bioware can't pull off what they have pulled off throughout its history, EAware won't stand even a remote chance.

He isn't defending EA at all, he's giving blame where it's due. You can't just keep going "It's EA's fault" for everything developers do. If he's a troll, then I'm a troll too.
I've been following Bioware releases long enough to know their weaknesses.

It's on an uptick now sure, but from 2008 - 2013 it had been in the tank. Just expand the time frame on your link and see for yourself.
Though really I'm not in the EA is the sole reason for Bioware's steadily declining reputation camp, I simply don't think they do anyone any favors either since I think that generally, they're a poorly run company.

Thank you. Spot on what I wrote.
Blaming EA for this mess only allows Bioware to produce more of this mess.
EA may be a poorly run company (that being off topic) but Bioware is a Division - an SBU in the old terminology for laissez-faire. So long as Bioware returns a profit for EA investment/budget, Bioware can fund a trip to Mars for all anyone at EA would know about or care about. Newsflash: EA suits may not play PC RPGs. Newsflash: apparently Bioware developers admittedly do not.
I am on page 90 of this mess of a topic and I am reading the official comment QA did not play with Kb+M. ever.
And the admission is not required when the whole design has been for Korean-championship console button-mashing play.
That is the problem i have. And following suggestions that i was given does not fix it for me. So im guessing im just the unlucky one here. So im stuck with the ranger class for eternity it seems
Stop complaining! Look at the beautiful graphics.
- being sarcastic, friend. It's not like I work for Bioware either in their software development or marketing.
Haven't read the previous posts, but any news on the PC patch? I'm holding off playing the game till the UI gets a revamp and that gender confusion fix - btw is it even going to be addressed in that patch at all, it's getting really long in the ear listening to all "my ladies" like a joke that overstayed it's welcome...

No. I'm waiting for a patch too.
Are there any official patch notes from BW listing exact fixes?
PS Could do with a loot all button, doing away with pickup animations and contrasting highlight (ex blue) of lootable items (orange is invisible most of the time in full sunlight in the desert or even hinterlands)
So far the news is limited, and only based on twitter posts by the developers. There hasn't been any official forum updates since sometime in Nov. From my perspective it appears that the patch is currently awaiting validation from MS/Sony as it's a cross-platform patch. As for the gender confusion bug, personally I've never encountered the symptons described, though I found my requisition officer called my Dalish elf female toon "Ser", though I imagine it's a short version of saying "Serah" like in DA2.
Speaking of the cross-platform patch... why do I get a feeling it's going to be bad news? If I remember correctly from other cross platform games, cross-platform patches tend to fix one problem on one platform only to cause another on another platform... but heck, I'll update it anyway, even if it stops my game from working. Besides I've already shelved DA:I while waiting for the patch.
No patch notes thus far, and based on developer tweets we won't get patch notes until it is released.

The silence should speak for your answer. No? Is this is page 200 already, 3 weeks after launch?
On the last page I posted my verified return: undeliverable. [Yes, I actually do feel this game is undeliverable looking at the many who own it but cannot enjoy it - that's what I call a value promise undelivered] Smarter than either of you, maybe, I divined the answer.
You two seem to be trying a different tactic to get Bioware to act.
Good luck with that,.
DA:I won GOTY (wtf) last night at the Video Games Awards, because it wasn't as broken as all the other games this year, oth FC4 got one too and that is a bugfest all on it's own...
So far the news is limited, .
"News" began when I suggested to people here that they contact the people in charge via Twitter. (Laidlaw still has PS4 Twitter header.)
That post got attention. Pages and pages of compliants before my post were ignored.
I also posted about Bioware firings, laying out the case from the perspective of a responsible EA management.
That got responses and "news" flowed for all of one night, 26 November, 7 days after release of a product with glaring flaws.

If it makes you feel better, I won't be buying any future Bioware games until they are fixed and heavily discounted.

If they don't want to speak on it that's fine, I just want to know how this company has changed so much in not all that much time. I'll reiterate my points....
In DA: O the dexterity fix was OPENLY discussed in the forums, we were given a hot fix BY A DEV, and received the official patch well before the consoles because console certification shouldn't have any effect whatsoever on a PC patch.
In ME 2, the lead game designer REGULARLY posted in the combat section giving us the detailed stats we needed to figure out proper strats, relaying info on the thought process behind dev decisions, and having discussions that actually led some to some balance patching.
Both of these games also had SUBSTANTIALLY better PC interfaces than Inquisition. So again I ask, how on earth is that this is the same company we're talking about?
Well, i guess it's back to finishing Wasteland 2, The Wolf Among Us and GoT, until the patch drops. Last game im buying on release, the worst thing is it's really good, but for those little petty shitty things that destroy the enjoyment of playing it...
