So what I've learnt so far about the gaming industry:

Nowadays, silent treatment is the best way to deal with your paying customers who are unhappy with your product. If they go mad due to the silence, and resort to finding you on reddit or whatever for any answer/ANYTHING, justify your silent treatment.

Why is it that indies don't have this problem? They aren't plagued with fame perhaps? Ok, how about Star Citizen that is an indie title with tons of fame especially for reaching 65 million in crowdfunding? Why aren't they giving their fans the silent treatment? And these fans are vocal as well, having paid hundreds of dollars to fund the project, and you bet they feel entitled enough to dictate their views on how the game should turn out. Yet, no silent treatment, consistent communication.

So please tell me... why?

They didn't even bother to make any Qunari armors.

Needs to work on the spelling though. "This the player's health"?

@RagingBerzerker: Qunari were only added to please certain people anyway. It's pretty obvious Inquisition is rather gated towards Human/Elf players. Heck if I look at the romances alone I'd say the game wants you to play as a female elf.

Sometimes I wonder why Bioware bothers to engage with any of you at all.

I still remember how bad Witcher 1 was with how it was obviously not made with an english sub in mind. Hopefully Wild Hunt will be longer than 2.

I wish I could have done that, pen-n-paper.

Paid $80 AU for a game that was specifically promised to be for PC, only to find lo! it is in fact for a console. Would not have bought had I known that.

But maybe I'll give it some time. After all I've got 7 days to return  to return according to Origin.

Keyboard and mouse is unworkable - I run into doors, can't loot unless I'm standing on top of the object, have to chase after enemies because there's no auto attack anymore, have to learn the new key bindings for controls with no tutorial/instructions. It makes me nostalgic for the controls for DA: Kirkwall. None of that mentioned except here, after everybody buys the game and starts playing.

My PC is up to date with latest drivers, has maximum capacity for video but I get crash to desktop with that DirectX/Nvidia message after winning any battle. Reduced video down three levels, still crashing.

Everyone's hair is shiny. Would love to figure out which option I need to turn off to get rid of that.

There's no heal, only 8 slots for spells, healing potions are limited to 8, am getting killed as I try to remember that the commands I have been using for the last how long no longer apply, and I'm playing on Casual.  Again, not mentioned by anyone except the players who discovered this after buying.

It's gameplay is really a lot like Mass Effect 3, which I didn't enjoy: no swapping weapons or entering your inventory during the game, having to return to the ship/keep instead of just camping. I have a very bad feeling the romances are going to be four conversations.

Alright, Bioware have stiffed me again. Will return. Mental note: never ever believe another review about a Bioware game. I can't believe not one reviewer mentioned the keyboard and mouse being absolutely monstrous.

ha ha! That seven day return policy doesn't apply to me.

This is really most unsatisfactory.

OK SPOILER.   (I have been watching Let's Play... so I can make a full assessment of this abortion of a Dragon Age RPG)

YSMV [your standards may vary]

Smart person.  I wish I had not pre purchased, I made a big mistake.  I should have known better, anything EA is involved with is usually buggy.  Won't be caught again.  My game has got to the point where it is unplayable, the longer I played the more it crashed or froze.  I had to reinstall my graphic card drivers it got that bad.  Hope their patches can repair it.  When they come out.  ps. this is about Dragon Age how it ended up where it did I don't know.

If an actual customer, that is, someone who owns the game contacts EA Help they will try to help. They may succeed or they may fail but they will pay attention to the difficulties of the individual. I think that's a reasonable expectation for a customer to have.

Expecting some response to a non-customer in a privately-owned public-display forum is foolish.

With so many bugs, I am finding the more hours I put into any given play through the worse and more let down I get. that and the fact that as a hetero man my only two romance options are a very masculine and facially scarred lady (hard pass) and a dark latina with a big nose and terrible clothes. (politely decline). I think Bioware would do well to allow for a customizeable romance character. Custom face, couple of vioce options three or four backstories to mix and match (sort of like the guild wars 2 personal story, but on a smaller scale) then bam, followers can be followers and the romance can be it's own experience all by itself

Dude don't, they will try and cut your balls off for saying something like this. Shirtless men and fanservice in for everyone is perfectly ok besides for our type.

In regards to improving the situation and disconnect between fans and developers:

Ultimately I am not the correct vessal for such a request, it would be best to pose such a suggestion to our Community Manager, David Hulegaard

Is he reachable?

Honestly from reading about the industry, this situation needs to improve, for us folk who remember Bioware as a company that communicates regularly with fans, it's just heartbreaking to see that the level of interaction has been reduced to... THIS

So Bioware doesn't want anyone to play this on the PC?  KB&M issues, using Frostbite 2, in the 3rd of a series.  It would have been easier and cost less if they would have simply told us PC gamers to [bleep}-off in a youtube video.  The entire dev team, just a 30 second clip, giving PC gamers the finger.  I mean, there's only one way to interpret the most basic input device on the planet having issues, they simply didn't give a f....

Thank God I didn't pre-order.  Guess I'll spend my money elsewhere.  I wasn't going to pre-order The Witcher 3 this early, but hell, at least I know CD Projekt Red still gives PC customers the time of day.

That is hilarious and true. I am both female and a feminist (close the wage gap!) but there is a very strong double standard on this site when romance options are under discussion.

Totally disappointed with this purchase Bioware!  As a fan who purchased DA1 and DA2 and DA3,  Mass Effect 1,2, and 3 I can tell you 100% I will never purchase your products again if you don't fix the shitty KB+M controls on this game!

  • Took 4+ hours to install with multiple crashes (physical copy)
  • Combat is ridiculous and disorienting.
  • No point and click to loot or move.
  • Constantly having to reposition view to "Interact With The Rifts"  (dumb as ****! by the way.)
  • Choppy cutscenes.
  • Crappy looking facial hair.

It's become obvious Bioware is no longer the company they once were.  This game was $78.00 CAD after taxes...  If I could get a refund I would.  Fail.

Thats why I have faith in modders. I can have good looking women in the game and everyone can rage all they like but they can't do anything.

So i just DLed IQ and it says i cannot start a new topic. So instead  I am going to reply on other random topics because my complaint is valid. The first big boss fight on the PC version asks me to press the right mouse button...WTF...seriously WTF. it does nothing."You can disrupt fade rifts to damage deoms" (right mouse button) "the rift while controlling your character"

And yea nothing ****** happens. I have tried the fight going on 10 times now. Moving around the map, looking in different directions, not attacking the demon.  Seriously. What kind of bush league bullshit game play are you guys going to now?

What happened to an awesome story line first? If I wanted to solve a crossword before saving the princess I would have bought a USA today then played mario. Stop with the ****** crime scene scenarios to further the storyline.
