Pretty much "We're too affraid of being flamed, so we stfu instead and pretend there's no unrest".

Just because they've chosen to avoid a cesspool doesn't mean they're pretending there's no unrest. I'd like more communication just as much as the next person, but I think we should avoid creating position statements that aren't actually there.

These guys don't work for Bioware and have no connection to it. This is a bit like camping on the lawn of a former CEO and yelling at them for things the company did after they left.

Yea, something like that. Good idea.  :thumbs up: <_<

I must remind you, because you obviously haven't noticed it on this topic, that Bioware was re-activated here with the mandate to rattle the saber and stiffle any idea of making the problems known here known elsewhere. It was not until Ray Muzyka (who is watched by institutional investors of Bioware, by the way) was touched on Twitter that Bioware returned here.

When no follow up occurred - maybe our Twitter indian was tired - the communications here stopped.

Yeah, if Ray dropped all his shares in Bioware or misspoke, there would be a ripple inside Bioware. But you're smart enough to know that.

Silence is the worst thing here and thread is pretty pointless ATM couse we included pretty much every concern here. We just have to wait and I am glad I still did not bought the game.

Thing is we should not have to spread this around, they should have done a decent job in the first place,

The isle of should have and could have are filled with objects of apathy, dejection and anger.

A lazy response is still, you know, a lazy response.  Just like your righteous complaint against Bioware on this forum.  Just saying.

Well, so it seems we don't get nothing at least till christmas.

To all the guys pre-ordering games, you are ruining the gaming industry. What is the logic to pay upfront for a product before you even see it? Do you pay for a 2nd hand car before u give it a test run? So don't preorder anything before seeing the reviews of all sides. Pre-ordering allowing publishers to get away with abominations like this one here.

BTW I bet that if there was a competitive multiplayer scene the game would have been patched in no time.

Yes, but shedding light on this problem is the first step to determining a solution. Drawing undue focus isn't an attack on him. It's an attack on the mindset and behavioral response. I don't feel anger at him at all for being honest. In fact I love him for it. It says a lot about the situation. But! It's only from his perspective. Surely an entity such as a company cannot hide behind those statements. And in that I don't feel it's representative of everyone's view about posting here.

I don't know but while we're here this might be interesting:

And makes me think about the differences in the people posting on this topic and the response from Bioware.

It might be off topic.

If they monitor this thread for feedback on the PC problems, I will post a link to the issues I describe. People seem to agree.

Add to that also the need for a "add to junk" option directly from the loot pickup menu and not putting monster research items into the junk automatically. I haven't really figured out yet how or why the monster research needs to be done, but I played 26 hours before figuring out the reason why I never have the monster parts: I have simply been selling them with the autosell because someone decided to put them into the autosell category by default.

I want to turn specific attention to the proper mouse-driven camera as well (as you can see from my thread no doubt). The way you set up interaction with objects, targeting and collision-based attacks (thanks for those, btw, if only you made a proper control scheme to properly use them), the old-school "hold RMB to aim" is completely nonsensical. If you want your controls to make sense, make the camera and character movement work like in every other game with behind shoulder view (Dead Rising or Dark Souls are good examples). Mouse to aim, WASD to move, and Q & E keys for something more useful, at the player's discretion.

I have a feeling this problem is being overlooked to an extent, in light of more "hyped" issues. People are underestimating the amount of grief it causes them. Or rather the amount of comfort it would bring if it was solved.

Exactly! Consumers really have to STOP pre-ordering. It serves no point other than padding marketing departments that further encourage shorter development times, more marketing in general for products that honestly don't need it, and inflames tensions by having developers/marketers make statements that they cannot deliver on.

Think about what you pre-order other than games? Does anyone pre-order a summer blockbuster? The car analogy is perfect. You're buying a product, and you should NEVER give your hard earned money before you have all the information before you in terms of reviews.

As much as some people have said here about Ubisoft/other companies' patching, don't forget those developers are also in the pre-order business, and it's lead to us having a yearly release of Assassin's Creed, consumers paying 60+ dollars a year for essentially a map/setting change with DLC-type story mixed in.

Working in the industry, I honestly wouldn't wish a yearly Mass Effect or Dragon Age on anyone.

I realize that many of you are looking for clarity on the 1st patch. The goal was Dec. 9. We will be missing that on most platforms.

There are just to many kids and hyped gamers in this industry to stop things like preorders. Its like fighting with the wind.

And so it seems that best way is to use twitter for infos.

There are complexities to patching #DAI. Unfortunately this compressed the 1st patch to the point of slipping. There will be more patches.

Damn. ;)

I wish I had not returned my game    :(  I see now it was like a lottary ticket. :P

Now I can no longer continue to live in eager and expectant anticipation.

But I no longer feel my pre-ordering was justified.....  Would the people whose games do not start (or play smoothly) still be the "pre-order period," technically speaking?  Golly. I wish I could share their Christmas-mourning-like anticipation.

Then where do you intend to let Bioware know about this:

The Help HQ? Where they direct you back here to get additional assistance?

Well, I personally spoke with some devs via PM. And if it came to it I agree with the idea that we should raise attention to it via the forum. I just thing the rants go nowhere.

I obviously havent kept up with a 300 page topic that doesn't really have much to say except the issues are ongoing and some flame wars.

I checked in recently in the hopes that posters were talking about hotfixes like the party banter thread.

The post I responded to talk about how the former founders were actually involved in DAI. Allan coming in and saying "stop" doesn't make them involved.
