Yes, any game award not voted has a high chance of being paid to win.

And game awards voted on have a high chance of being skewed towards the taste of people who vote. That's not really any more meaningful. And this one doesn't even require a conspiracy theory to be true.

you know, you can tamper community votes too, its basically the same as buying a price. hell ubisoft must be really pissed their offer was not enough. *tinfoil hat on*

I think the answer is that prior to their 1 month extension they were ready for a day 1 patch.

That makes sense.

there is an update folder in the game directory and there is even something in it. but just use common sense, maybe it was a release patch or maybe some minor fixes that werent QA'd.why the hell should they delay a working fix thats already there. beware, hysteria is like a virus and highly infectious :D

That doesn't.

That makes sense.

The terrifying thought is what state this game was in at that point in time.

Please tell me how could votes be tempered ?

If games are good then obviously they will get voted, this way better quality games will come out. No amount of corporation BS in these type of awards.

I swear, if this patch doesn't fix the game's issues of overheating....

Implied patch is hardly an announcement... its like giving someone a false glimmer of hope. Whichever platform that doesn't get the patch on the 9th might start getting their pitchforks from the shed.

When I read those tweets i don't see where it says there "WILL" be a PC patch on the PC on the 9th. I just see him answering "YES" to a question of whether there will be a PC patch in general. I think everyone might be putting the cart in front of the horse on this one.

the indirect way, buy voters. the direct way, declare what you want as a winner because no voter knows what others voted.

but tell me, how would companies like ubisoft or nintendo would react if you could buy a price, i mean they won this goty too, so they should have experience with this behaviour

I realize that many of you are looking for clarity on the 1st patch. The goal was Dec. 9. We will be missing that on most platforms.

@joshmiller83 we will be patching the PC

This is a partial copy from another thread. I hadn't posted in this one yet, so I thought I might as well add my two cents as a PC gamer. While I have had other issues with game stability, I know that those issues are not intentional and believe they will eventually be fixed. This post addresses the PC controls only, which was an intentional design on the part of the devs.

_____

I'm on my second play now and have about 130 hours sunk into this game, so I've had lot of time to use the controls, adjust the available keybinds to my preference -- which I do in every game of this type -- and play as multiple classes. The first play was as a mage where all I did was just stand there and fire at things while a tank soaked damage. Because I play on casual I didn't have to switch to other characters very often, particularly melee characters.

Playing again as a melee is extremely annoying and not fun -- for me -- with keyboard and mouse. I would say that being unable to move with the mouse (holding L/R mouse buttons down to move forward) is the most problematic issue for me. I have to continually use the movement keys while attacking and then use that same hand to use abilities, meaning I can't move during that time. I don't like it. It is uncomfortable. I probably will not play a melee character again unless these controls are changed.

The mobs in this game do use a lot of movement, and that does make for some interesting and potentially fun fight dynamics, even on casual mode. But I don't feel that I can match the mob movement as a melee character, which only leads to frustration.

While mouse movement is the greatest annoyance, my second biggest issue is the interact range and constantly having to inch toward objects or loot. Please just give us auto-loot like DA2... PLEASE!!

Dunno if anyone has posted this here, but here ya go -

Tyler Wilde:

I’m playing Dragon Age: Inquisition with a controller
Last week I whined about not being able to walk in Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is possible with an analog stick, but not with a keyboard until a toggle is patched in. This week, I’ve given up on using mouse and keyboard controls altogether. It’s just too cantankerous.
So, I switched to an Xbox 360 controller, and while it took a while to get used to navigating the menus (they’re not good), I’m having a much better experience now. That saddens me. It doesn’t sadden me so much that I’m going to stop playing a game I’m enjoying, but I will continue sighing loudly while I do.

This is also one of my biggest issues, and mostly because there is no reason it should not be in the game.  Nothing else conflicts with pressing L/R mouse in Action Cam.  And the same exact function of the same 2 buttons held down already works for a similar action in Tac Cam.  This means the functionality as it existed in Origins and DA2, is absolutely possible.  They simply decided not to include it.

However, it appears not many other pc gamers feel it is as big an issue as you or I do.  Either that or they don't think it needs to be stated more than once, which severely lessens the chance it gets noticed by Bioware, IMO.

There is actually a conflict because left click is attack. therefore if you hit left and right mouse you end up attacking while you mouselook.

OK, that's how it works now.  But since the L/R navigate works in Tac Cam, that means it can work the same in Action Cam (unless these guys have no idea how to program)

That's another problem in itself. There shouldn't be a button you need to mash/hold to auto-attack. This isn't ****** Diablo.
