The question is, are those hairs in game or not?  From reading through, it sounds like they pulled the meshes/textures into a modeling tool.  I am curious if those designs are just rendered in a tool, or actually in-game?  Given the backgrounds on the sample images, I am thinking that's not in-game.  It'll be interesting to find out if they can import those designs into the game.

For the modders I know in the group.

- Silvist import armors from Tera online.

- Adela draw the hairs herself.

- Renmiri1 made the tool for modding, he/she even find a dialog between Alistair and his child (cut content?)

If you want more details I suggest you to directly ask your questions in the group instead of here : http://forum.bioware...9048-dai-tools/

Let's put it this way: If your platforms begin with either "Sony" or "Microsoft," he's talking about you.

Well my Operating System begins with "Microsoft", does that count? :D

Patch should still release on time for PC.

Here's hoping it'll bring good news (technical fixes and bug fixes)

Let's hope indeed, and that "PC" isn't among "most platforms". It wouldn't surprise me though if they only launch it on Xbone tomorrow, and both PC and PS4 have to wait till next tuesday. And PS3/X360 owners have to wait even longer...

Heh. So you're saying that Microsoft waved the patch through certification for XBone but the PC gets it later even though there is no certification needed?

Would that sound as a surprise to you?
Logical it is not, unpredictable the schemes of Microsoft are...

But I think it's more in the lines of prioritizing the patching of the XBone version, and when that one's finished the teams can work on the other versions. Ofcourse those patches, especially the PC one, needed "more time", while the XBone patch is already being certified as we speak.

It's not cut content I believe, but most likely not triggering (so bugged basically).

The first day I loaded up DA:I it crashed so much I couldn't even change settings. I don't remember what I did, but now it crashes once in a blue moon, usually when I'm in menu settings while a game isn't actually loaded yet. My main concern, which I'm not completely sure if it's tied to my ram or not, is that the game gets slow and hangs here and there, but it's still playable. Also, I really cannot stand the plastic hair. Has someone modded this yet? Please say yes. :P

Hmm, didn't say the first story DLC would come out on Xbone before all the other platforms?

Ah that's something I missed, since I don't use Twitter...

What the hell is the News&Announcements forum for anyway?

No, he was serious. He's saying why would you need your mouse when your fingers are already on the WASD keys and you can just use the nearby keys (Q, E, R, F, etc.) instead.

The short; console gamers buy gamepads with interesting designs/features. PC gamers buy mice with interesting designs/features. Saying 'why do you need your mouse buttons' is like me asking you 'why don't you play using an NES controller?'

Not all PC gamers use the 90 button mouse. I don't, for example.

Adela created such lovely hair models in short time. What an amazing artist. In fact that is the best hair mod I have seen for any game.

And you are right, so embarrassing for Bioware who had what, three / four years to work on this thing... Just shameful.

Bioware can't design hair. I don't get why this is news to people. Every game they released has had terrible hair.

It's here to keep us off of Twitter and such. It's a form of PR quarantine, if you will.

I think the only game that had decent hair that came from them was SWTOR

Which makes sense, given that the art style of SWTOR could be described as "Plastic Sci-fi."

I don't know. I love short hair, so I'm very happy with existing ones. :)

Still, a lack of decent hair for qunari is bad. They are ugly because of that.

Not all PC gamers use the 90 button mouse. I don't, for example.

No but thumb buttons are common place on non-gaming mice these days and basically any mouse wheel produced in the last 10 years can be clicked and used as a button as well.

That was one of my chief complaints and something I'm completely dumbfounded by. Multi-button mice are so prevalent these days that even non-gaming specific mice tend to have multiple buttons. Which is why 99% of pc games recognize these buttons on the key bind screen.

Especially games wherein melee combat requires the player to constantly mash on the directional buttons or miss. Why is that important you ask? Because if WASD are your directional keys and Q,E,R or the number keys are expected to be used for abilities then guess what that results in? You MUST remove a finger from WASD in order to hit any of those keys, which means you are no longer able to do something that is essential to melee combat in this game. Using ability and directional keys simultaneously.

It would be substantially easier for me to simply rebind ability keys to my mouse buttons but since I can't rebind them officially, and I don't feel like setting up 3rd party key binds, I'm using shift and C as ability keys since I can hit those with my pinky or thumb without remove my other fingers from WASD.

The game is still sitting on my hard drive waiting to be played................ unfortunately the system requirements quoted did not include the need for a CONSOLE CONTROLLER to allow the walk/run animation......with which of course everyone knows (except BIOWARE) is not standard equipment with a PC ..........we have a MOUSE AND KEYBOARD..........................

Unbelievable..............

That is by design.  Plan better next time.

Plan for a combat you don't know is coming and a monster you haven't met yet? I haven't honed my psychic abilities to that level yet.

Especially since the inability to walk is a game breaking mechanic. (just so im clear, sarcasm)

It's all just a ruse and the patch is just going to be a bunch of dummy data we're gonna download. :P

had my first big crash just a few minutes ago. When in the Journal, went to check some mission groups and bang, screen froze... alt-tab did not work, so I crtl-alt-del to tried to close the program but had to try it some 3 times before I was able to close the crashed program. In fact, DA:I was listed as running while the Close Program windows were being listed as not running lol.

I had no crashes in 50 hours played, and today the game crashed twice. Once when I tried to exit the Requisitions table, and once more randomly while walking in a cave. The first time the game just stopped working and I was thrown to desktop, the second it actually froze exactly like yours and had to launch task manager to get out. I changed nothing, no drivers, no windows updates, nothing. The game just decided to start crashing.
