The Witcher 3 delayed again, further 3 months. I wonder, what would happen if we saw DAI on the shelves by late December or early January. Would not the game be more stabilized and bug free by then?
According to an open letter published by The Board of CD PROJEKT SA, the delay is due to the "sheer size and complexity" of the game. "Now, nearing the end of our work," they write, "we see many details that need to be corrected. When we release the most important game in our studio’s history, we must be absolutely sure that we did everything we could to limit any bugs to a level that will allow you to enjoy the game thoroughly."
I just saw that and although I'm a little disapointed, I think they took a good decision by postponing launch. Witcher 3 is going to be massive if we take CDR word for it, and the February objective always sounded weird to me.
As a studio without any constraint from greedy publishers, CDR has the possibility to do this kind of postponing that I'm sure fans will comprehend if it's really to have the best experience possible.
Obviously, BW couldn't do this as they work for EA, with EA's Frostbite and have to meet EA's deadline.
Also, CDR cares a lot about their reputation and giving players the best games possible so, well, I'll be waiting till may (and that will allow me to upgrade my rig =D)
