So will we have to piece together the patch notes from Twitter? Or will the team graciously offer us a copy here on the official forum?

The original Titan is slower than a GTX 970, while the Black is somewhat faster. A Titan-Z may do 4K nicely, but so would much cheaper solutions like a Radeon R9 295X2, GTX 780Ti in 2xSLI, or even 2 GTX 970's.

Didn't mean to imply they are cheap in terms of what you get, but the person I responded to already had a Titan Black in his setup.

What's the story with the patch?

There has been news, via twitter instead of via the forums.

pcpatch_zpsbd00e9e3.png

Basically the intended date as Dec 9th, he mentioned most platforms would be delayed when questioned he said PC would be getting patched. So it appears we will make our patch date other platforms won't. As it should be considering we don't have to get console validation the way they do.

They are likely editing a list that, until now, was going to include fixes for all 5 platforms.

I'm sure it will be posted here though.

After 35 hours I stopped playing. I'm not enjoying the game in it's current state(controls, tac cam, drop fps, etc, etc), I tried but after 35h I give up, I will start a fresh game after tomorrows patch. I think I will enjoy it this time (assuming things will be fixed). In the mid time I will continue playing MP which is another pain is the ass, with the constant connection errors, bugs at the start of the match, lag and etc, etc.

Anyone saw the twitch live stream today? It was all about dragons in the game and so forth...I'll give you the link:

http://www.twitch.tv/bioware/c/5643753

So, the VOD is 37:57 long and the description is:

"Video Description

Cut a bit short but still a nail bitter."
Actually the whole thing was about 1hour long. And i can tell you what happend at the end....which is now cut out :-)

They were fighting a dragon for a couple of minutes...a lot of tactics, resistances, weapons, design questions about the dragons were discussed during the fight.

The dragon was nearly dead. Suddenly the game crashed to desktop !

After that, they quickly threw out some facebook and twitter info how to win the game and ended the stream in a hurry.
Man this guy on the left was pissed that he couldn't kill the dragon (it was his own savegame i think )
He certainly wished they had put out that pc patch earlier :-)

Sorry if i wasn't clear enough. As i said, they intentionally cut the end of the video out, because they didn't want you to be able to see that crash in the VOD.

I saw it live and thought i let you guys know what happend in the last 20 min of the live stream.

Too bad i didn't take a screenshot.

at least i showed you some arguments while you just throwing your opinion around without any proove of anything. could get more into detail about the examples or show you newer cases with a little more search, but its not worth it. believe what you want, its your little world you are living in.

Doubt it, looks more like your little world and you can't even do a rebuttal on my points. Fact is voting is a far better legitimacy than judging as most gamers can't be bought.  So this GOTY 2014 that DAI just won is most likely a fake.

Voting is worse just look at the nba all star team selection. Every single year dudes that are injured and missed half the season or dudes that have been garbage for years wind up making the All-Star team just because they are still popular not because they are actually good players if the team was determined by people who actually watch basketball it would be completely different.

Same principle applies here.

I’ve posted this on another thread but I’m posting here in the hope it may get BW’s ear.

Limiting the PC toolbar to 8 slots is an awful design decision, especially for Mage’s. I’m only level 12 and I already have a full toolbar and for my build, I need to get a number of new spells.

It does not add any form of “tactical choice”, it only removes tactical options.

The simplest fix for this is to add a 2nd toolbar, where you access each toolbar via a key combo such as Shift 1 and 2.

Come on Bioware, Dragon Age: Inquisition is SO close to becoming a classic, right alongside Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights.

Bioware, do the right thing and add another toolbar.

What other games were in the RPG category for Game of the Year award this year?

I can only think of Divinity: Original Sin and Shadowrun: Dragonfall Director's Cut of the top of my head.

Ok, look, electing a game of the year by voting would only be better if every voter had the exact same knowledge about all the games being voted (as in, everyone who votes should've played every game). As it stands, by voting worst case scenario you get a popularity contest and declare the most purchased\least controversial option as your game of the year. At best... well, the same, but some people consider "most purchased game" to be a valid definition of "game of the year", i suppose.

I'm not even counting my belief that a lot of gamers and internet users are friggin idiots here and, honestly, I don't really know if a judge based election where you can't know for sure how legitimate the judges are is a better option, but what I'm getting at is that a voting open to everybody isn't really the best way to go about it either.

Also, I agree about DA:I being a good contender for game of the year. Despite its issues - no matter if "a few" (me included) players can't play it as it should be played (and some can't play it at all) at the moment, no matter how much some want to whine about the game they'd rather have had - it's a solid game and is one of the best titles we got this year. Sure, this year felt a bit disappointing (at least as far as platforms i own are concerned), but that changes nothing.
Kinda hoping Shadow of Mordor gets more wins, though, it was my "least disappointing game of the year", at least. And then again, I didn't play every game that came out this year.

At least voting can't get paid off unlike judging, if the game is good it will of course sell more so the most purchase games are the best games on the market. Don't need to rant and say voting is worst than judge when it's not.

It just a comparision. As in voting also enables a lot of idiots to have a say so.

Another problem that I have found with the restricted Camera controls, while riding your horse, your view is restricted so you can see the enviroment.

So your horse is pretty useless in places like the Hissing Wastes.

It still doesn't mean NBA = computer games because its not and can't be used as an comparison.

Maybe not, but voting players for the All Star Team and voting a game for Game of the Year would work the same. Everyone just voting for their favorite instead of actually being objective on the matter of it being a GOOD game.

I think a REAL pc gamer's biggest concern would be the lack of modding.  But that's probably greedy EAs fault instead of Biowares.   There are too many horrible things about this game we are forced to endure, with no way to mod them out like we could with Skyrim.
