Not big on starting work at 7/8 am over there?
That'd be a very early time to officially up a workplace even if people show up early.

Every office is a little different in Edmonton. Some companies start at 7:00 and some don't have a single person in until 10:00.
That is by far my biggest issue personally. I'm one of the "lucky ones" apparently that hasn't really had all that many problems with regards to bugs. My game crashes maybe once or twice every 5 or 6 hours sometimes going longer stretches without any crashes so on that front I've been more or less fine with DA: I. It's the UI/control issues that have really driven me up the wall because so many of them are brain dead, standard pc features that have been around for years and somehow were omitted from a game built by pc gamers for pc gamers.
Which is even more baffling when you consider that many of the features in question were available in Mass Effect and previous Dragon Age games. I understand not all BioWare games are made by the same development team but isn't there usually some kind of company wide oversight or standard to live up to?
It all points to the PC version being bottom of the list.
None of it makes sense otherwise. There's no way that anyone there played this on K+M and decided "Yup, that's good enough!". Even apart from the fact that, as you say, they have two previous games to draw on.
Plus....

""We've visited message boards, read reviews, and we've gone to events to have direct face to face conversations with some of our most passionate fans. We've been listening, and we will continue to listen," Darrah said. He reassured gamers that Inquisition is in good hands, citing his professional background with Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age: Origins as well as personal interests in D&D and pen and paper games."

Over here 8 am is the usual starting time for work here not accounting shift work. And considering that their times kind of work like offices you can bet your ass they would have to start at 8 here.

I guess they giggle at us with a coffee cup in their hands, watching us waiting for the patch.

I would imagine they want to get this right. So QA until the man with the big cigar presses the button to release the patch ?
I guess he is the man with the cigar and the button in front of him.

No offence or anything, I mean, I have no idea what your life is like but, man, your life sounds easy!
Imagine this... work - kids/HW - dinner - wife time - my time - bed...... (I get, maybe a couple of hours in every other day, more in the weekend though).

My brother has two kids and i really don't know how he could play more than me...
Every time i turn on Origin i see that he is logged and playing DA:I
So no PC patch yet, right? At least Origin is not updating anything.
Hah! Yeah....... Sometimes I wish I was.

I wish I could do that. But no dice, gotta work two more weeks.

Well that can be answered rather quickly. Is he a good or neglectful father? ![]()

Yeah.. Im a single mom, so I (thankfully) dont have to put up with boyfriend/husband time.. bahahaha lol
I work midnights, so Im working while kiddo is sleeping with sitter (or spending the night at my dads).. Luckily I only work 10 hour days 4 days a week
I should be sleeping right now, but I didnt work last night, so I slept last night so I could stay up today, which will totally screw up my night tonight, but my schedule is already so screwed up that it doesnt matter. Anyway, life is hard. Taking care of kid myself, homework, working full time, cleaning house, doing laundry, cooking every night, homework by myself. I just didnt want to get into all that on a public forum ![]()
I understand if someone prefers m&kb but i dont think its fair to talk over game developers to improve that type of control just because some pc gamers cant imagine themselves holding a gamepad. Truth is that DAI has great gamepad controls (have you even tried? ), and i am grateful that they achieved this level of comfort and precison and brought it to us, pc gamers. I just want to to show Bioware that not all pc gamers are addicted to m&kb and some of them can appreciate full gamepad support. Its the reason why i didnt play ME on Pc due to the lack of gamepad support.
I would never imagine rpg could be played so well on gamepad, really.
Obvious troll, but I just cannot resist this.
KB/M is the superior control option for just about every genre out there. The only exceptions are sports games (lol) and certain action-adventure games *looks at Assassin's Creed series*
At its heart, DA:I is a CRPG (computer role-playing game). CRPGs were built with KB/M controls in mind. It's only recently that devs began to flake off and do a sloppy job at creating UI's and control schemes for their PC ports.
Bioware declared a long time ago that for DA:I they would focus on the PC version as the definitive one. In reality it's the complete opposite. The PC version is a technical disaster in just about every sense of the word. Not saying the console versions are perfect, but they're honestly in better shape than PC atm.
However not all the blame can be put on Bioware for this. EA controls them, and it's been known for years that EA hates PC gaming.

I...always thought the C in CRPG stood for "Classic", you know to differentiate it from JRPG. The more you know I guess.
Im a single mom

Srs tho, kudos on doing what you do, when you do it. Your kid is lucky to have you and your dad. ... I hope ![]()

Now I want to call in sick too (I'm sick of working)...
And be a housewife too...

LOL Yeah. I need to find a guy with a good job and loads of money so I can be a housewife too ![]()
Sorry, I don't mean to pick out parts but... yes on the whole. The only thing I disagree with is that if they can't officially talk, they should say nothing. I fear if such a behavior shift were to occur, we would hear less than nothing. Which would then enact a culture change. Not for the better I bet. I want that sincere BioAdmiralX seen here. I want that kind of freedom of exchange... But we can't have it. For the very reasons he went into. In spite of all that they still need a better system. Engage. That's all I ask. I know we're unwashed peasants, but engage. *eagerly awaits Picard meme*
If Mr. Darrah can't talk officially, because he is at vacation or what ever, then there should be another Bioware representative who can talk. Speaking not officially and using just hints cause more heat then one official statement. And if EA is to stop their representatives from talking, this speaks volumes.
Yeah, seems to be a hole in their organisational structure, but that's just my opinion from what I've been seeing.
