I love how the patch announcement is worded.
"Patch 2 includes the first range of fixes towards addressing the feedback we’ve received on the PC controls[.]" Not 'we will fix it' or, 'we will restore it to the level of functionality that you enjoyed 5 years ago with an earlier version of this game franchise.' No, instead they say they're addressing the feedback, not the issue itself. This is like me slicing someone open with a knife (broken PC controls) and having them scream at me (PC players unhappy), but instead of addressing the issue by bandaging them up (fixing the PC controls), I instead apologize that their shirt is ruined and that they feel wronged (addressing the feedback).
That's a hilarious level of exaggeration. Preposterous as well.
Let's instead highlight for a moment "Patch 2 includes the first range of fixes towards addressing the feedback we’ve received on the PC controls[.]"
So no, this is not Mass Effect 3 all over again (vastly different group of people anyway) and yes, there is concrete action being taken. They're saying they're committed to seeing what we think of this from the complaints we've given and that this will not be the ONLY time they listen to us.
Relax.
