Honestly, I would like to see a revamp of mages in this game. Compared to the last 2 games in the series, mages in DAI seem more support type with fewer attack spells and combos.

Still getting crashes. No more stuttering though, at least we're getting somewhere...

Dear Bioware Team,
I am seriousely disappointed, you don't even bother listening your community, we want to play, and a lot of us can't be cause they CAN'T WALK ! It is so simple for you to add this and ELEMEN>TARY it would just take you 10 seconds and so many people as i do want to play we PAID for your game so please HEAR US and add this walk/toggle button !! Don't you ever play RPG's ! You know that's why disappoints me the most, such a basic mistake shows that you don't even play to your games ! You are not what you used to be, i can't believe it we will have to wait more than 1 month to play, i've never seen that and i'm angry ! really! We are angry !
Saying you "can't" play because there is no walk toggle is just silly. You don't want to play without a walk toggle. That's completely different. Tone down the drama and use more "I" and less "we", please. ![]()
I would love to have a walk toggle. I REALLY want a walk toggle. But I'm glad I'm not obsessing over it, because I love this game. I have about 100 hours on it and have loved it so far, despite feeling silly running around a few times.
It looks like this patch focused on major issues like the gender thing, and minor issues (like a walk toggle) that don't keep people from playing or ruin game data were lower priority. This is how it should be.
I really want a walk toggle. It hasn't happened yet. Oh well. Maybe my second character will be less hyper than the first.
This shiny hair thing concerns me more. Not getting a feature that was never there and wasn't technically a bug is far less concerning than technical performance going backwards.

I actually haven't had too many technical difficulties with this game ever since I went through the process to have my NVidia drivers updated - I basically just had to install some sort of NVidia control panel and then was given a choice to download updates designed specifically for DA:I. Since then, animation and cutscenes run smoothly, and the hair doesn't look plastic after I increased the resolution and mesh quality.
From what people are saying, should I perhaps see if I can *stop* Origin from automatically installing this patch?

I don't know, but IMO this whole situation is pretty far from ''how it should be.''

Yeah, just turn Origin into offline mode.

I honestly hate the shiny hair feature. The fact that all hair looks metallic is insane, not to mention a certain lack of color diversity and long hairs.

Well now that they added an option to disable tactical cam on mouse wheel up, all I need is auto attack and click to move... I hope they add these.

Issues we have so far:
- Shiny hair problem
- Complexion settings problem (stubble gone, smooth skin turned wrinkled, etc)
- Scars seem completely gone or invisible

So basically, I had zero bugs (I guess I got lucky). But if I install this patch, I'll GET bugs. good job. I have Origin in offline mode to play, so I can avoid the patch. Sure hope being connected to Keep isn't required past initial character creation.

Update - Patch 2 Notes
Singleplayer
- [PC] Hair should be less shiny on lower quality settings.
- [PC] Added an option to enable / disable tactical camera on mouse wheel scroll out.
- ...
Not quite,
- It should, but apparently it's the opposite, hair is now shinier on all settings.
- As for the tactical camera, what was the idea? Now it's annoyingly switching to this mode when zooming out, and of course, it's still not possible to zoom out enough with the tactical camera (that I would remove altogether).
What has become the ability to walk - and not run all the time? With the controller it's possible to walk, run and sprint. On the PC, it's just running... not very handy in some sensitive situations - and as a rogue, it's just breaking up the gameplay. And since it's impossible to switch dynamically between the controller and the keyboard / mouse, even those with a controller can't really have a proper work-around.
I'm quoting the support:
Prabhjot 2 Dec 2014 12:15:04I just checked your issue with my Specialist team and I am happy to inform you that the bug you are facing will get fixed pretty soon with the next patch.
Prabhjot 2 Dec 2014 12:15:04Well being an Advisor I could not predict the exact time frame but I am really very positive that this issue will get fixed within very few days.
Why do they keep doing promises they can't afford? I assume the support is EA and has nothing to do with the dev team (indeed there seem to be no communication), but it's not an excuse.
Yeah, never saw this one, just another farce.

do you get paid by post or by rant?
None, I just think you should think and actually look up some information yourself before posting your own rants. Sometimes I just think people enjoy the novelty of "looking pissed" in the internet. Just stop being so over-entitled.

And when will that be. A month from now...to get a walk toggle key binding. This is a huge step back. The best game of 2014 is suffering from immersion issue. Not angry, but sad beyond limit.
I do agree that a walk toggle would be good, but seriously dude? Is it that much of a dealbreaker? To each their own, I guess. They already said the next patch will be focused on adressing PC specific issues.
When they don't say anything, people bash them. When they explain their methodology and plans for upcoming patches, people bash them anyway. Do you see where I'm going?

Could it be "can't" in a motion sickness sense?
I just don't think we should discount people who may have legitimate issues with the run animation.

While I can't go into details on patch 3, I'd like to remind people of what Scylla said yesterday:
We appreciate your patience.
Could you tell us what it's been decided will not be included in a future patch? I know there are some things that are being attempted to do, but you must have some idea of what this community wants/needs to see in a patch, but it probably has decided been against doing for whatever reason. (ex. mouse movement, walk function, mouse bindings to extra buttons, etc.)
