Why is Freaking Origin forcing me to update the freaking game?
I mean for fark sake.
This is why I hated ORIGIN, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF TURNING OFF AUTOMATIC UPDATES WHEN YOU ARE FORCED TO DO AN UPDATE?

Meh I didn't find it such a big deal.
Just disabled Origin's online connection and continued with the game.
I just want options! Follow-me mini map or north facing. Key Bind the mouse btns if I want. Have more buttons on hot bar. (Why give us specializations then).
Options to mouse over! AND A BANK! Or at least a vault/storage somewhere. These are not game breaking requests by any means.
Back to BG2.
I am not having any graphic issues as such. Thank god! But the UI I could quite easily give to Corypheus! This is Programming 101 stuff. Always give the user options! Mouse/Keyboard. Tooltips!!! The info is there, just hidden. Coming from WoW with the Bartender addon, I had at least 7 toolbars which could be vert/horiz. depending on context. Arrrgh. I will stop. Will only get upset.
Oh please give us a bigger mouse cursor too! Pretty please
Ok, so now I wait for patch 3 in the hopes that this mess becomes playable. Such a shame cause the setting, story, characters all seem wonderful but the combat is unplayable. Aside from the horrendous controls and views, I don't know if combat is just too fast but I never seem to know what is happening with my main characters or the enemy's. There is no time to use abilities and I am always losing the damn mouse cursor. I know it is not just me cause I loved the combat in Origins, heck I loved the combat in DA2 compared to this!
I truly hope that Patch 3 brings the things that we are screaming for here in terms of KB&M controls, even more so now that I found out I am not eligible for a refund ![]()
Just my 3 concerns of Dragon Age Inquisition...feel free to mention yours in the comments on the vid

That is beside the point, as I would be demanding the game to be ridden of Origin entirely.

In all honesty I love this game, which also makes me sad, because I can't recommend it on PC at its current state.
If the PC controls / UI is overhauled however then I'll start recommending it, because the game by itself is very good IMO.

I'm not butthurt, 201 hours.
Anything new on the DX11_DEVICE_HUNG crashes? I'm still getting them and it's pretty discouraging. Even if you don't have anything solid, I'd be totally fine with any of the following:
"We've made no progress."
"We've made a little progress."
"We've made a lot of progress."
The game freezes all the time , even when I set the graphic option to the lowest setting.
I played 80+ hours before the patch, now I can't even play for 8 minutes.
The patch broke my game.
I thought this patch brought back the DA: Origins and DA:2 Controls.
I'll just wait for the next patch and see if all is back to normal.
O well, back again to playing Path of Exile.
Don't forget to patch the Qunari armor bug! D:

Not tech savvy in the slightest, but from personal experience...
Putting your graphics to the lowest setting isn't always best for your computer. Now your comp has to work at being crappy, it actually adds more issues than solves. Keep the graphic settings to what they are best at.
I'm gonna guess that isn't the only issue here, but if you give more details then someone can probably help you more efficiently.
Yea, it's def not the 590.
I'm betting there's a subset of different background apps causing the stuttering, and the majority of the people affected by it have them running but don't know it because the apps hide the settings.
Could be drivers, AV, anything.
You could always try Razer Game Booster. At the very least it'll give you another frame per second ![]()
Sorry, can't play them with a "happy feeling", especially in combat, the way i played in DA: Origins and DA: 2.
If you can insert the "module" for controls in the DA: Origins or DA: 2 or just have an option to choose between WASD and the previous controls, then that would solve the problem.
Path of Exile and Diablo are awesome!

Have you tried using a controller? This is a third person game so a controller makes more sense. Apart from some awkward targeting from the tactical camera, I've had no issues while using an Xbox 360 controller.
PC does not need an Xbox controller or alike.
The PC controller is always the Mouse & KB.
I realised that this patch fixed the graphics settings to work as they should bit can anyone tell me which one of the setting controls the clearness of the ice before it was clear and had depth now it's just an opaque texture my pc could handle it and trying to change all the settings individually would work except that more than half of them requires the game to restart which will take ages
Increase those that don't have sucha high impact:
Textures Fade Touched,
Effects at High
AO: HBAO+
post-effect AA and MSAA OFF
Meshes Ultra
Shadows medium
vegetation medium
Looks good, doesn't hit the FPSes as much.
Should work for you, from those, I think effects at Ultra lag me the most (was at the Warden Finding, so might have to do with all the fog and constant rain, reflective surfaces), I tried turning everything on/off and most didn't affect my fps at all. It took ages to test the settings. Between everything at low and everything at ultra with MSAA I saw maybe 15 FPS difference?

You are wrong there are a few genres which are better with a controller. Racing games, for example. Also 3rd person games like this, controlling the character is just better with two analogue sticks rather than one mouse and keys.

I really dont remembre the last time i play a game like this on my pc whitout a controller really. The only games i play whit mouse and keyboard are games like civ V, shogun or fallen enchantres, the first dragon age and similars like divinity original sins for example. Im on 100+ hours of gameplay in this dragon age playing whit a xbox 360 controller and i dont see the bad side of doing that.
To be honst, I already got used to KB+Mouse controlls of Dragon Age. Not having any issues anymore even.
It just felt very odd to attack by pressing "R" and pick up stuff/open doors with "F". The ability to DO so (poorly!) with a mouse made the confusion. It might as well be gone, people would just learn the easy way to do the stuff in the game from the start.
Right clicking to choose the target you wish is a nice touch. Honestly, I think that console controllers are even worse right now.
Don't take it the wrong way, I would like it if those were made even better... It's just that... I don't care anymore after 60+ hours (mostly multiplayer). The UI is a bigger concern, as we would benefit from having drop-down lists everywhere, not retarded LEFT or RIGHT at all menus, because this is only working for the controllers (not that it's usefull for those, it's just how retarded they are in providing you with... controll. Or lack of it.)
If you played SWOTOR... You played Dragon Age. Kind of. West Marches even made me feel like in SWOTOR all over again. Constant Deja Vu. I was even playing the inquisitor. Now where the hell did I put my light saber!?

Varies greatly from game to game. Shooty games are ALWAYS better with whatever you've first learned to play them on with, which is why I prefer trackball over anything else, which made FPSes on the DS a magical time for me.
F.e. I can't imagine playing Halo with anything other than a keyboard and a mouse. The issue isn't which method is "better", the issue is that the game devs shouldn't be making that choice for us.

You played the DAO and DAII, right? Have you tried right clicking on a far far object on DAI or have you tried mapping extra mouse keys?
