For those having issues with Origin slowing down things in game...

In your My Games menu on Origin, right click on Inquisition and go to Game Properties. There will be a tick box and you can disable Origin from running while your game is playing. Then just access it through a shortcut or the app directly (Razer Cortex, even). You can even still log in to get Keep files and the like without Origin rearing its head onto your play time.

It's helped me speed things up a bit. Thought I'd share.

That doesn't make Origin not run at all, it turns off the Origin in-game overlay when you're playing the game.  That could still help with performance, mind you, but the actual Origin application is still running in the background whenever you play DAI.

Also 3rd person games like this, controlling the character is just better with two analogue sticks rather than one mouse and keys.

Why does the camera matter? Third- or first-person, you're still maneuvering a character in space.

Origin is so sneaky.

But thank you for the clarification. Either way, I've seen a fair amount of improvement for my own fps troubles. Previously when loading the game through Razer Cortex, Origin would have to load first - menus and all. Now, it appears to load the game by itself. Obviously, there is more than meets the eye.

Bugger.

My god... B-E-A-UTIFUL!

Even if they make it into a nice looking tarot card it still really cheapens the game. It smacks of a F2P title. If this is where you're going BioWare I beg of you to reconsider.

"Sneaky"?  It's the exact same thing that Steam does.

Origin being sneaky does not make Steam less so, per se.

WHOA...

There are 5k DA:I screenshots on PCGamer, but that's another story... but they have also mentioned of DA:I Cinematic Tools.

As soon as walking is patched in, I'm going to do some shooting ;)

There is a bit of a free-to-play model at work here.  If DAI's multiplayer is handled anything like Mass Effect 3's, all the microtransactions are a trade off in return for free map, weapon, and character packs.

True. I don't mind that they are selling something in multiplayer. I always kind of view that as you say with additional free content or offsetting costs. But Mass Effect 3 didn't slap a "bogo sticker" on the main menu when you started the game. I may be wrong with that, it's been a real long time since I had that game installed, it may have changed. It just doesn't sit right.

Getting tired of companions not following commands.

Am I alone in "Hold Position" and "Revive" (tac cam) being broken?

They will hold for a short time but then come running and directing 1 of them to revive another whilst I keep the enemy busy is almost always ignored. The latter routinely getting me killed in boss fights. It's highly annoying

Has there been any info about when patch 3 might be coming? I don't want to play without the ability to walk, but I would be very happy if I could play this over Christmas.

True, ME3 didn't do that, and I would rather it be gone from DAI.

You are wrong there are a few genres which are better with a controller. Racing games, for example. Also 3rd person games like this, controlling the character is just better with two analogue sticks rather than one mouse and keys.

what? but the camera position has nothing to do with... i don't even... ok, i'll bite.

better HOW?

I added 9 and 5 to that.  At that point, it's easier to say they just got 3, 4, and 7 correct.  Never going to live down "Made for PC by PC gamers".  Added to the dev Infamy Hall Of Infamy.

It doesn't sit right at all. Booted the game for the second time last night (really enjoying it, by the way), only to be confronted by "y u no MP?" Very annoying. More annoying if it won't go away by itself.

But with regards to the game itself...very good, so far. No walk bind is, well, I won't rehash that again. I, and many others have made views clear on that. However, I trust that a fix for this is coming. Other than that, only complaint is using the tax cam, which may be simply a case of getting used to it. It is VERY different to Origins tac cam, and thus far, not in a positive way, but I am becoming accustomed to it.

The voice acting is excellent. The graphics (16gb RAM, GTX980 everything high/ultra or fade touched) are superb (also, the lip sync is unnervingly good). The first boss type battle was rewardingly difficult on Normal (not an uber gamer here) and, as we got hit over the head with repeated prior to launch...it is big. It is very, very big. Time will tell if that big space has filled with content of substance, but for now, I am happy.

Also, as of this writing...no bugs!

Ok, so now I wait for patch 3 in the hopes that this mess becomes playable. Such a shame cause the setting, story, characters all seem wonderful but the combat is unplayable. Aside from the horrendous controls and views, I don't know if combat is just too fast but I never seem to know what is happening with my main characters or the enemy's. There is no time to use abilities and I am always losing the damn mouse cursor. I know it is not just me cause I loved the combat in Origins, heck I loved the combat in DA2 compared to this!

I truly hope that Patch 3 brings the things that we are screaming for here in terms of KB&M controls, even more so now that I found out I am not eligible for a refund :(

Why are you not eligible for a refund?

Lol what. You won't play without the ability to walk? How does walking help in any situation? The only thing it would be used for is it to say "oh look I can walk". You won't use it at all in the main areas like the hinterlands, unless you want to spend a few hours walking to your destination

I'm not playing till they get the tac cam right and add detailed tooltips to the hotbar, that's my playable minimum (i'll stop if my character's voice changes suddenly, sicne it's a bug they can't fix). Of course i'd like the horrible, awful, stupid UI fixed too, but it appears to be an impossible feat for bioware.
