OK we wait weeks for a patch and it doesn;t fix the cut scene crash bug, fantastic. Just had it crash twice within a few minutes during vital scenes.

ETA: make that 3 times and even when I was spacebaring through them.

Are your cutscenes sped up via command line argument?

Yes perhaps in particular scenes it does. What I was really meaning is that someone won't play it at all because it doesn't have a walk/run toggle?? It's a very small problem. And I have no idea how that could ruin an entire game for someone.

No idea?  Is it really that hard to imagine?

We knew what kind of a game it is, we knew the graphics have been updated by a significant degree.  We knew the world is bigger, which means lots of exploration.

Other than a lack of self control, why is it hard to imagine a person holding off from playing once it is known that it *might* be put in the game?

Are you just upset you finished playing and didn't get to walk?  First impression was tainted, so everyone else's has to be?

It's all about personal preference, some like chocolate, some like peanut butter and some even like them combined. I think it shouldn't be that big of a deal for them to implement it if people want it.

To a lot of people it enhances role play.

After all in your house to you run everywhere? No of course not, so why should the Inquisitor run everywhere while in their 'home'.

This may sound silly, but I would actually like to be able to close all doors that I open. I can almost hear the teeth-chattering (roleplaying) every time I open a door in Haven and just leave it wide open. You can almost hear someone shout - "Hey idiot, close the damn door!"

I tried that in DA2 hoping to keep spawns in check but it didn't work

This. Not being able to close doors drives me a little crazy.

I think doors in Skyhold close behind you after you've walked away a bit. Which makes you wonder if there's a ghost or if Cole is just avidly stalking you. Or the elves have automated door magic that no one else picked up on.

But agreed, the option to close doors after they're opened wouldn't be so bad.

More worried about the big middle finger your company is giving to the multiplayer users. I've crashed 15 times to desktop since the recent patch. You actually took something out of multi and now there's a thing telling me I can craft new armors for Multi. And I literally can't.

Seriously? And that your char never eats or drinks goes to toilet doesn't bother you?
But EA already made a game for you that fits your roleplay, its called sims.

Not sure how they plan to handle this as Patch 2 wasn't a majority remedy for people. Meaning Patch 2 hasn't yet accomplished the goal it set out to. This fact will not speed up the release of Patch 3. Unless of course they plan to integrate the two together. Which I would very much like to be optimistic for but don't believe that will be happening. For the latest and arguably best chance at finding the news related to patches before you see it here I would take Brogan's advice in the Patch 2 thread and follow Mark Darrah on twitter.

No ETA as patch 2 just came out but hopefully it doesn't take another 3 weeks.

Many people can't play and many others don't want to play until they get a walk button(myself included).

Thank you very much.

Now, Bioware, why the hell can't you tell us exactly what you are working on RIGHT NOW (supposedly for Patch 3, I guess) and what's your current progress into addressing the problems you set to fix (just give us a list already, please)?

Truly, I just can't understand why not simply publishing their plan of action and all ETAs for each goal (even though they're just an estimative and not accurate, it's better than nothing). That would let us know WHAT we're waiting for, and if want to wait after all or not (just give DAI up and never play it again, focusing time into other games and/or activities without any further hope; OR go and play the game as it is knowing it'll not get much better since the fixes you want won't ever be coming).

That would give gamers a better scenario to decide what to do with DAI. Clean and simple.

Just be really, really, really, direct, professional and clean with all your community Bioware, just that. ("This we will do soon, this we will do in a month or two, this we will not do, this we will just try but don't hope for it...")

Getting tired of companions not following commands.

Am I alone in "Hold Position" and "Revive" (tac cam) being broken?

Control of party members is close to none; they whole "tactic" portion is just them running and milling around. It's very bad; when you add the camera that does not zoom out, you can safely say this game is RPG-hack and slash; Mass Effect 4 is probably going to be RPG-shooter.

(RPG stands here only for that dialogue wheel, castle and collecting).

It has only been a few days, but I do agree with this:

I too would be very happy to hear "this we will try but don't hope for it", as there are alot of improvements on the game that the community are hoping to get addressed.

True. I don't mind that they are selling something in multiplayer. I always kind of view that as you say with additional free content or offsetting costs. But Mass Effect 3 didn't slap a "bogo sticker" on the main menu when you started the game. I may be wrong with that, it's been a real long time since I had that game installed, it may have changed. It just doesn't sit right.

ME2 & 3 had the computer console with little messages on it, but that fit in with the style of the game. This thing is some hideous bumper sticker slapped on the screen.

Take it away Bioware

Yeah well ot is an ok game for an MMO type thing. Cant call it anything else really. 6/10 just like that latest review. Also ME4 will prolly end the same way.

It's nothing like an MMO, not sure what MMOs you've been playing but I disagree.  The majority seems to feel this game is great, just look at the scores of the most reputable companies as well as user feedback --- not forums where there's always complaints flooded but actual user reviews as well.

And I'd dislike yours, if I was able to. I bet it's very comfortable there in your own little world where you're a king and a master, forcing your own opinions on others. Going personal, when he wasn't addressing you at all.
This thread here exists for a sole reason of PC concerns. If you don't have any and you're enjoying the game, why did you come, then? To insult others?

Insult others? WHAT FANTASY WORLD DO YOU LIVE IN?  Now will be an insult, but true: your reading comprehension is SEVERELY lacking.   At no point did I force an opinion on anyone.  I gave my opinion.  I said I'd dislike it many times over all day long, and that's the truth.  Got a problem with it?  Tough.  That's my opinion so GET OVER IT.  :)

I just hope that the Frostbite 3 engine is not getting in the way and making things harder for Bioware to accomplish better PC gameplay.

Given that EA is going to impose frostbite 3+ for almost all future games, I'd say that we're going to be screwed over and over again ;)

It's time to ditch EA / Bioware. They made a game that they can't even patch. I mean, the whole patching process should be part of the development scope. I guess they thought that their game was so perfect they wouldn't have to patch. Patching is not very console friendly, we made DA:I for console, so what the hell !

I like closing doors in DAO, when I'm swapping outfits... but then I AM using the natural bodies mod (wink, wink!)...

Just regarding the comments re frostbite, has there been any more speculation/investigation about exactly what role the Denuvo drm might be playing in any of the issues reported here?  Seemed like there was a lot of early speculation, then not so much.  Not raising the issue philosophically, purely as a factor in the overall scheme of the issues and patches...

I don't see how it could, beyond slowdowns or lagging, or something. Certainly not the patches breaking stuff.

This. I had the game preloaded and played the first 20 minutes day 1, and have held off for a decent KB+M scheme and walk button etc to be patched in (i.e a proper PC build instead of this console port <_< ).

I've since 100%'d Far Cry 4 and played through Wolfenstein, and would really like to know if these things will ever be patched/overhauled, or if I should just start playing knowing that that not much will change in the future.

seems bioware is still basking in the glow of the Game Awards, and since its now around the holiday season i would be suprise if they release patch 3 anytime before the holidays

most likely patch 3 will come after the holiday, so like another 5 or more weeks most likely before we hear anything about patch 3

since winning the award and lots of people skill playing the game and multiplayer, like the console owners, some of the pc owners who don't have problems with the game, i believe bioware are talking there sweet time patching the game

with lack of direct communication with pc community on the forums, sooner or later people will have to decide if its worth the wait to wait for bioware to patch the game "very slowly" or if they should just move on to other games, like the new ones that are coming soon around the holidays

Can you answer Bioware............?

Do you intend patching in the walk/run issue along with other updates before Christmas ...or can I delete this game and make room for something meant to be played on a PC...!!!!!!!
