Because they "forgot" to make the UI respond to mouse over, what are the 3 bars just above the toolbar? I know one is Focus, but what are the others? A manual for the PC would be greatly appreciated. They "forgot" that too! I am being kind.

I'm 50. PC's hadn't been invented yet. when I was a kid. Get off my lawn!
I think those of us of the "Older" gamers have seen the progression of how games went from console, to PC, to both. I've also watched the way games, though getting "prettier", have had their share of sloppy releases as well. It's as if they are put into a time crunch and say "we can let this bug go and fix it later". Only to realize at release that it connects to something else and causes different problems for different people. I don't know........it just seems like they mostly get sloppy when trying to dual platform a game (PC Vs. Console).

That said, when it's a question of design, that's up to them and they don't have an obligation to fix it,
Good luck trying to convince people who feel they were blatantly lied to, of that.

Ooh, but I'm older than that (48 looms ahead). That's why my ancient fingers cramp up on WASD after an hour or so...
(Still waiting for the character response in-game that allows me to yell at darkspawn to get off my lawn...)
I'm older than you youngin ![]()

If you don't fill them up in a certain amount of time the game ends and all your saves are erased.

I'm suspecting now the problem was with the engine. The walk toggle is a good example. In the previous engine, designed for PC gaming as well as consoles, presumably, there were 2 conditions to test for. On or off, walk or run. It seems in this engine, it's more like an accelerator. Problem is, the analog stick "accelerator" function doesn't translate to a keyboard. My guess is they couldn't get it working reliably so they dropped it for PC, until after release.
Most of the controls and UI components are mapped directly to a controller function. According to Wiki, Frostbite 3 supports PC gaming, so its looking like as you said, they ran out of time and slapped in a console control scheme for the PC version and made it work as best they could.
People shouldn't be surprised that they are focusing on the console version first anyway. I remember Laidlaw (I think) saying before DA2 that most of their sales of DAO were on the consoles so they were focusing their efforts on the console version.

Actually they are all focus. 3 tiers. But yeah a decent tooltip system for stuff like that would be nice.

Damnit!
You can blame me for that.
I play on PC but I loved DA:O so much I bought copies for all my brothers, and they all play on consoles ...

Why in the world there is just PC community concerns thread. Don't you think that other communities have concerns as well? Do you think only PC has problems with DAI? The way you ignore PS3 and XBOX360 players both on BSN, Twitter and Answer EA is getting really on people's nerves. We are paying customers, most of us payed more for DAI than PC players since PC versions is much cheaper in many countries. Still sell us broken game and then ignore everything. Problems that PS3 and XBOX360 has to be addressed as well, not just this answering to people who have PC and having patch where they have tens of problems solved (though it didn't seem to work well) and there was just one problem solved for PS3 and couple for XBOX360 although we have most broken game that many can't even refund.
If I wouldn't have been daily ignored since the release.. has it been three weeks, I wouldn't be this mad and comment here. But because you all refuse to answer me to any other way I will do what i can to finally the get response to old gen players.
Also if you really don't know what is problem with old gen here is the thread I have done, combining them all so that you guys could use it as help. Although you don't seem to care a **** about concerns that we have. http://forum.bioware...x-these-issues/ That thread has lot of information. All problems stated there has been happening more than one people. Most severe one's are texture pop-in's and them not loading, too small text to read (you claimed this is because of lack of HDTV but most people stating the issue has huge HDTV but can't read texts at all), corrupted saves and disk unreadable error for 360 (this one permits you playing the game at all but you still blame just individual disk although people have tried several and just got same message).
This one shows what your game has sold as physical versions to different platforms: http://www.vgchartz....ge-inquisition/ . 130 k for PS3 and 140 k for XBOX360 (180 k for PC for comparison.) Also if you want to go look what ratings and reviews your game has for PS3 and XBOX360 you can visit Metacritic and Amazon.com. They aren't good. Most people warn other people of the broken game.

not sure if this been mentioned but i wish we had the controls of DA:O & DA2 instead of the current continuously holding down R or left click to attack.
and please bring back click to move and right click to attack & examine? Found out that i have to walk towards manually (wasd) an objective and press F to examine. the tactical cam could use some fix as well, as in a further zoom out.
might be too much to ask but if its possible, thank you ![]()

Denuvo is cracked, i hope soon we will see test of DAI without Denuvo...
not happening. it appears 3DM's crack is emulating Origin connection, not removing Denuvo from the game. so... precious SSDs are still under heavy pressure. again: reddit, no idea if it really works, not going to try (i like my PC clean, thank you).
still waiting for control/ui/tactics/ai patch, but something tells me it won't happen the way i'd imagine. if they just focused on the game's quality instead of paying for protection... seriously, people are not dumb, we know if we don't pay for the game, you won't give us another one. problem begins only when we're not sure if we want another.

Well for one, PC players expect a competent control interface for mouse and keyboard, and a lot of us felt we didn't get that. For all the issues last gen consoles had, your control setup is the same as next gen consoles. The "PC community" has their own unique concerns not just about bugs but about how the game is played. There is no "last gen community" with concerns about how the game is played.
And secondly, I'm pretty sure the VGChartz numbers don't include online sales. Digital downloads are huge on the PC, not so much on last gen consoles.

Then that is a worrying state of affairs. If Bioware couldn't even get a walk button to work and had to drop it prior to release, what hope do we have for a KB+M overhaul?

... cropped for readability
I don't think PS3 and XBOX360 are being ignored. Some PC issues would be same or similar to yours. Just that this topic was set up by Mike Darrah especially to address PC problems at the time. This is a PC topic originally. We are all in the same boat at the end of the day. It is not PC vs Console, its us asking BW for help and support!!

If it only were so. However this thread is made for PC community by BW. I had to do own thread and try to maintain it cause they have been refusing to do it for old gen although I and couple others have requested it. This thread has 3 pages answers from BW. Any PS3 and XBOX360 thread in this forum has zero. Same on twitter and Answer EA, believe me, I have been tracking dev answers on twitter, here and Answer EA. However we got ignored completely, it's like talking to stone wall.

Indeed, there're 220+ pages of bugs reports whatever the platforms is used on the Technical forum.
It can't be that innocent.
So yes, it's not only pc users who has trouble with this game.
