Is anyone else having an issue with draw distance? I run around grassy areas and it seems like the details of the grass (flowers and such) only pop in within a 3-4 foot radius of my character. It looks kind of fugly, and I do not remember seeing it pre-patch. Matter of fact, the grass looks a lot worse in general now. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'd tweet this to Darrah.

It's obvious they tweaked something when they fixed the mesh issue.

Without a doubt, control scheme on PC is a complete mess, as well as tactical camera. I've been using KB+M for every game out there, since forever, flight simulators, racing games, even fighting games! And not even once did I thought to myself,"wish I had a controller).

Well, not anymore! I despite DAI's control scheme for PC, so much that I'm using my Shield Portable as improvised controller and I find the game to be so muh smoother! It's a joke, really!

First of all! Who's bright idea was to castigate tactical camera?! And to force it's control with keyboard?! How high were you, guys, when you came up with that bright idea?!

And why can't I just press attack once and let my character attack non-stop, as he does while in tactical camera mode?!

And why must I constantly be pressing RMB, in order to turn my camera around in third person view mode?! It's not like I have a mouse to hover over stuff and point at, in TPV mode.

And since you're so hellbent on limiting the amount of active spells available at a time, why can't you make swappable 4 slots, as you have for controller control?! Just have four first buttons set for 1-4(or any other button people fancy, like Q,E,MB5/6) and have another row of active powers available at the press of a button combo, like Shift+1-4! Or how about allowing us to map stuff at our mouse buttons?! God knows most of people have dozens of buttons and button combos available to them with their gaming mices.

And how about you give us more active power slots?! Either that or cut the whole immunity crap?! Do you know how much PITA it is, to keep constantly respecing, at first, because every new type of monster comes with a goddarn immunity to a whole whooping magic school branch?!

And why can't I open inventory in the middle of a fight and pull out another staff?! Just make the fight to in real time while I dig through your clunky interface or add a timer bar upon equipping new weapon! ... Also, add different immunity types to melee weapons! Make warriors shuffle their weapons/skill trees, too!

Also, horses are pointless, since you can't search/loot while riding.

Also, speaking of searching... WTF WERE YOU THINKING TRNUNG IT INTO AN ACTIVE FUNCTION?! What happened to traditional "press Alt/Tab/Whatever to highlight interactable objects?" Why must I constantly be spamming V?! If you're so hellbent on making us work for it, at least make it passive or to toggle option! WHAT THE HELL BIOWARE?!

And could you throw in some explanations on power interactions/eldrich combos? Just a tooltip, or something, would be nice during tutorial. Just saying...

Yes, I've noticed this issue since the patch and hot fix. I don't remember seeing it before the patch either. The grass itself draws okay but all of the little plants and flowers pop in within about a one metre radius of the character. It does look kind of fugly.

Sounds like your game is still stuck on Low settings, almost as if the hotfix wasn't applied.

Have you tried lowering your graphics all the way down, restart the game, then putting it all back to Ultra?

Agree with most of what you are saying but both previous DA games worked like this, (pressing RMB to move the camera and character movement direction). Perfectly fine.

You can still use KB & M controls on the game, but it is annoying and unenjoyable. Even DA 2 combat is much better than DAI which is saying something.

I've been tapping W to get my character to limp.

That's been my compromise for some time, and I'm continually reminded by those precious five seconds pre-Skyhold when I could actually walk.

Any news would be great. :(

Is there any way to auto attack without having to mash the left mouse button? I instinctively tend to want to left click things and end up shooting ppl on accident lol.

You can use R instead. You dont have to mash it either - just keep it pressed.

Can anyone tell me if it is safe to load the patch now?

Last week I did and got the DRM authentication glitch, so I rolled back to an earlier version. Have they sorted the issue out or created new ones?

No, they didn't. You could click on the ground to move, and the camera then turned automatically in the direction of movement. As opposed to DAI, where you have to hold down RMB to turn the camera.

Ok fair enough. it was my understand that having to RMB as opposed to just moving the mouse like in Skyrim, was being referred to.

And in my humble opinion, clicking on the ground to move around is archaic at best (outside of combat, that is). I am not saying I would object to the functionality making a return because it is actually quite useful for combat, but I think it's pretty clear we are not getting that back because of the other changes such as Frostbite, being able to jump etc.

I'm patient...until I'm not anymore!

I started playing this game but desisted until the controls for PC were rethought and properly implemented. The game is not for PC simple as that..it is a console port at the moment and a very bad one at that. really, terrible would not be hyperbole.

I heard a patch was coming and naturally waited for that. Having applied it, it seems this patch does nothing for any of the major complaints with this game. In fact it makes things worse. I was playing what I could with no crashes and now I have had two or three in only 3 or 4 hours of gameplay on both previous WHQL and latest beta Nvidia drivers.

SLI has serious problems...flickering etc. There are numerous bugs in the game...objects that you should be able to interact with but cant etc etc.

I am on a fresh Windows 8.1 install on a Rampage V extreme, 5960X, 16GB 3200 RAM and SLI 980s...there should be no hardware problem in running the game.

There was a patch on Day 1! The fact this is presented as some sort of positive is ridiculous.

The second patch is presumably stuff that was already on the to do list.

We are now a month from release date and this unfinished game is still not patched in any meaningful way at least for PC gamers. A complete disgrace. I really pray some enterprising lawyer starts a class action suit and forces this industry to rethink customer service and bad practice.

Given this disgraceful situation, could Bioware please confirm timeline and content for a definitive patch for PC gamers forthwith please.

Your paying customers want real answers and real action on a product they have paid for.

An entire shame because the game is good. Not as good as it could have been but very good.

I'm optimistic we hear something this week regarding the next patch.

You are VERY optimistic indeed. Personnally i think they are going to remain silent until a day or two before the release, which would be sometimes next year near easter....

Maybe it's just me... but siiiiigh

I stayed offline on Origins as often as I can to avoid the patch. Today somehow it accidentally went online and patched my game and I was like NOOOOOO

After the patch I didn't notice any changes in my graphics which is cool, but the problem lies with fights. It's like the AI is turned off. No one was using any skill, not even the mages (the only thing they used is Barrierbarrierbarrierbarrier) Cassy in full stamina without using ANY of her skills, so does the mage boys in my party wth

And yes I checked, turned out their AI is enabled, and NONE of their skills are disabled. Is my game broken?

Actually yes they did.

Both Origins and DAII had the option to be controlled just like Inquisition. WASD for movement and hold down right mouse button to move the camera.

It's just that the previous two games had control schemes that Inquisition decided weren't needed. Click to move and hold down both the mouse buttons to move.

Why Bioware decided that it was a good idea to neuter or remove the other two control schemes is the biggest puzzle. Did all of their testers and all of the development team only use WASD in the previous two games.

As laws mentioned, in DA2, RMB was a necessity due to mouse pointer interaction. However in DAI, it is a pointless gimmick that serves no purpose. Imagine playing TES games while constantly holding RMB, just to turn camera. By all rights, the control scheme in third person view should've been like in TES games, or DA:O... The least they could do was to leave it as it was back in DA2. It was still horrible, but at least it was managable, the least kind evil.

I'm sorry for the noob question, but I'm curious as to what makes this game performs so wildly different with BF4 and NFS Rival that use the same engine?

My rig can maxed out BF4 with steady 60Fps, and NFS rival on all Ultra without any problem whatsoever. But DAI simply butchered my rig, my CPU stuck on 100% utilization all the time regardless of what's on the screen. And I cant even get 15 FPS, at best I got 10 FPS with stuttering and freezing every 5 seconds. Absolutely unplayable.

my spec is as follows:

CPU            : Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8 Ghz OC'ed to 3.6 Ghz

Ram            : 800 Mhz 2GB DDR2 x 2

GPU           : EVGA GTX 650TI with 2GB DDR 5 Ram 1158 Mhz Clockspeed

Are you serious? A dual core CPU and only 2GB of RAM? Your "rig" is waaaaayyyyy under even minimum spec. That's little more than a typewriter you got there. Unfortunately.

Every mmo out there might disagree with you. I played wow back in the day, holding the RMB to move the camera is kind of natural for me.
