Yes, I agree;in hindsight, it seems obvious (I said as much in my very first post on this topic).
Pity, really. Because this backlash is all so unnecessary. They had a good thing and broke it.
You'd think a company would learn from past mistakes. In fact, all companies would learn.
After the ME3 Kai lang/ending mess, when BW said nothing, ignored the community until it reached critical mass (meaning an article appeared in the NYT) you'd think they learn to: talk to your fans. Even if it's bad news. It's MUCH BETTER to talk and listen to your users then ignore them.
Trust me when I tell you it's not the developers who have control of this. It's the PR department. They don't want to say anything for fear of taking a misstep. But saying anything has it's risks too.
Frankly, after the way BW handled the ME3 controversy, and the way they are handling this - I mean this thread is 302 pages! Time to chime in BW. Anyway I'm done with BW. No more auto-buy, no more pre-orders - now I wait until I have a chance to read the forums first. I only wish I could return this "Extended" Edition I paid for.
