imo, the pc controls need to be completely reworked for keyboard+mouse users.

Should the long silence from BioWare since the hotfix be interpreted as behind-the-scenes panic? Considering the recent findings in that EA support thread, it appears that Inquisition might be fundamentally broken for some people.
it might be. i gave it a fair shot, and passed up my refund period to see if i can truly play the game. now i'm wondering why the hell did i pass up the refund period? =S
It's not so much how it looks, but how it sounds. Just an outstanding score, ambient effects, and overall tone.
Perfect for this time of year, too. Beamdog did a good job converting it to their latest Infinity engine EE version. Lot of kits to choose from, creating a party (imagine if you had to create 6 Inquisitors for DAI...)
I mean, it's basically like playing BG2, but still. Warm and fuzzys.
BG (both, even with Kivan stripped from BG2... ah, Kivan... *cough*) remains one of my all-time favourites. I did pull out my old IWD... oh gods, this time last year? Wow. Then decided to play through AC again, for some reason. Also ran out of play time because I had some research and an edit due... maybe I'll give it another whirl. Gotta give into the kids occasionally, right?
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Anyone notice that, post-patch, your party members just kinda take a break in the middle of combat? Oh, what? A giant's attacking you and you'd like Cassandra to grab the agro? But, it's nap time! Snooze for a few seconds shouldn't hurt, right? I've counted up to seven seconds while my party just stands there.
I noticed that, too. Took me a while because I was the one trying to get aggro, but then I realised that one of my party members (Bull) was off taking a nap or something.

Not really, no. The general idea is that if you say nothing, nobody can use your words against you later.
From a PR standpoint, it's safer to be silent and right than noisy and wrong; it's hard to report on silence, after all. This is why all the official posts are worded to be vague and generally worthless - a wordy form of, "We're working on it.", basically.
From the consumer standpoint, words alone are worth almost nothing. After all, if Bioware's word was good, this topic probably wouldn't exist. Since we're unlikely to take anything they say at face value, there's really no reason for them to bother - the patches will speak for them.
^^
they did mention future patches when they released the first patch.
PS: does "Artistic Integrity" count as 'noisy and wrong'? Just asking, because I will never forget.
tbh, in one iteration i'm nearly 70 hours into the gameplay. once you get past the oh-so-crappy controls, the story is a-frickin-mazing. it's enough to suck you in. so stick with it, overlook the (multitudinous) control and even aesthetic issues (yes, the hair is STILL crap!).
the combat crap, though? that's new, and boy is it annoying! naptime later, gang! keel sheet!
SIgh all I want is the ability to select more than one char at the same time would make positioning a hell of a lot easier
I have 172 hours into the game I've gotten used to the controls, once your used to them its not so bad, Tactical still sucks and why the heck isn't there a Party wait button, it tends to get annoying going up on a ladder to get a shard and have to wait for your party to get done climbing the ladder so you can go back down.
Though recently I've been encountering this issue I'll be playing and then an hour and half in my game will pop to a small window then back to full screen and back to small, keeps doing this for several minutes before panning out and going back to full screen for awhile.
Beards and mustaches look like crap even stubble doesn't look right, needs some adjustments!

Stubble looks horrible
Beards are solid plastic glue on products.
Anyway, there is a hold party button (h default on pc) - but it doesn't always work. But most of the time it does, for a short while - so you can actually keep them downstairs.
To be honest, party following me annoyingly during free roam or looting is my biggest reason to solo this game. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying!!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
Nvidia 347.09 Beta DOES FIX FPS RENDERING PROBLEMS!!!

Sometimes I'm in the middle of a conversation with someone and I just want to turn around and say to the rest of them, "Oh MY effing Maker, will you lot just stand still?!"
Witcher2 $10 on steam winter holiday sale...

I have this problem where the game goes into windowed mode instead of full screen, but always when starting the game. I found a workaround for this problem is to just open windows task manager and then when it opens close the task manager from the x button on the corner. After that the game goes to full screen with no problems, don't ask me why it works but it works with my system atleast ><.
No joy. With the Nvidia update my game is now worse than ever.
ETA: No, I tell a lie. Once I've done some research, I will hit T before a dragon fight so I know what type of elements it's about to hit me with, and therefore what it will be weak to. That's it.

Very likely, yes.
It is probably legal advice that has them all silent and hiding away.
I am surprised no one has sued them..... yet

i don't believe average joe could do this. maybe retailers after a huge amount of customer complaints... well depends on how EA would handle this.
i don't think there is a valid reason for such extreme actions, game is broken only for some people
BG2EE is awesome. Controls took a while to get used to! Lol, Was not meant for 1920 x 1080! But an excellent revival. Not like the latest Bioware effort.
And the available mods!!!! I live in hope. 5 companions. Yay
KOTOR, a Bioware RPG for the original Xbox released in 2003 had command queuing. How does this game not have that?
Don't get the BW fanboys started. They'll tell you that 'BW did a great job on this game', 'Every game is different', 'Different people like different things' etc and be completely oblivious to the TOTAL DEVOLUTION this game is. BTW I caved and patched the game yesterday. Played on 1.0 completely fine all on ultra, had my first play through at 80 hours lots of fun. Second play through now on 1.1, game freezes every second, party members just stand there, sometimes they don't use any skills. Really fun, glad I spent my money.

I could have bought a half decent book for a fiver. Instead I spent £60 for an interactive story where all the interactive elements are trash.
The story isn't even that good compared to the previous games.
I think you should go back to play the game and stop posting when you have no issues.
We're all very glad you're not having problems but your comment helps no one.
As for me, I gave up trying to fix the game, now I'm reinstalling...hoping that the no patch works better (as it was before the nightmare patches)
When did I EVER say I have no issues??? Don't twist my words!
This is a PC Community Concerns thread, and I am here to voice my concerns if that is perfectly OK with you.
Who are you to ask me to leave the forum and go play the game just because I make one comment to clarify a situation? Get over yourself, will you?
If you bothered looking at any of my other comments you would quickly come to the conclusion that I have MAJOR issues with this game. Perhaps not performance-wise, but valid ones nonetheless.

That's one thing that irks me! Why can't you target something and get feedback without going into TacticCam. All the data is there!
Sorry it's console. Silly me.

So I guess we are definitely not seeing a Patch 3 surface until 2015, unless anyone has information we BSN'ers are not privvy to?
