What's with companies and giving its fanbases FUs these days?
First Crystal Dynamics decided to give its PS/PC fanbase (that it gained with its TR reboot) the FU by taking Microsoft's money and making Rise of the Tomb Raider Xbox exclusive (good luck selling that one), and now Bioware decided to give its PC fanbase (that this franchise is founded on) the FU by neglecting the PC platform (along with the "for PC gamers" BS)
Admittedly, Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix is doing much worse, but still, what's wrong with the industry?!

Nothing strange here, companies exist to make money. It's not like patching the game would increase sales much by now.
So we will get a patch that will fix at least some of the issues, but IMO there is little chance it will happen before the end of the year.
But most likely before the first paid DLC ![]()
If no new DLCs were in the making and multiplayer didn't give much income, than the game would probably even be forgotten, because the many failings of the game didn't really get out in the medias and most people don't even know that DA:I is a buggy game. Unless THEY have the problem, obviously ![]()
The teams make games, DICE does something much more important for EA and can't be bothered.
Let's hope that at least, this will work as some sort of beta of the engine for the upcomming Mass Effect 4...
edit: I expect that top bosses at EA don't really know or read much. Their staff just wants to tell them, "We had great sales, game won GOTY award, all is fine, give me a raise now, plz don't fire me" ![]()
DAI just lost to Mordor for gamespot's GOTY 2014 voting, hopefully this will cause bioware to wake up instead of thinking consoles first over PC.

Simple, Square Enix discovered F2P games and Bioware discovered consoles.
In both case, they obtained a larger player base than they've before.
Of course, that doesn't excuse bugged games or bad port in my humble opinion but these flaws can happen with any company.

PS: does "Artistic Integrity" count as 'noisy and wrong'? Just asking, because I will never forget.
Only after they decided to release the EC.

Never seen Bethesda giving a big FU to its own fanbase yet, in fact they embraced the console community while still keeping its PC fanbase happy. Especially with moddability (the company's main competitive advantage for me).
Oh well at least we still got Bethesda, as well as indies such as CD project red, Taleworlds, RSI, Larian, Pathea, etc
On the fence with Bioware at the moment, I hope the patch fixes my gripes and remains in my good books as after 16 years it would be hard to leave it behind like I had to with Westwood due to EA and recently with Crystal Dynamics due to Microsoft/Square Enix.

Does anyone knows if a Nvidia Geforce GT 440, 3 GB can run the game?

When will you patch multiplayer? 80 percent of games are lost, because keys dont drop, gold "urns" bugging out, lag, connection issues etc.

Thanks, it is quite comprehensive list. ![]()
Unfortunately mine seems not to be there, as it goes only up to the 2 GB version (that still doesn’t run the game), and then jumps to the 450 that apparently does run the game. Maddening really.

You can try here 2. It can detect for you, but seems a bit off imo. Mine wasn't completely accurate, but looking at minimum gpu 8800 gt, I think you can.

If your graphics card fall short, it will still try to run the game.
More importantly, is your CPU up to snuff? Because if not, you won't even be able to run the game at all.

Thats no way to talk man... not to mention that Bioware is being bullied by EA so... They did what they could in the time that has been given to them. Now we can only hope they will slowly fix the damage.

I have 172 hours into the game I've gotten used to the controls, once your used to them its not so bad, Tactical still sucks and why the heck isn't there a Party wait button, it tends to get annoying going up on a ladder to get a shard and have to wait for your party to get done climbing the ladder so you can go back down.
Though recently I've been encountering this issue I'll be playing and then an hour and half in my game will pop to a small window then back to full screen and back to small, keeps doing this for several minutes before panning out and going back to full screen for awhile.
Beards and mustaches look like crap even stubble doesn't look right, needs some adjustments!
Nothing in this game is right...they need to remake the whole ****** game for pc the lazy fuckers

I played (at fade touched textures) on GeForce 560 1 GB version. It worked fine at about 30 fps before even trying the new driver that supposedly improved performance. Meshes at Ultra, effects on high, rest on medium.
Today I got my brand new 970 ![]()

For a crap game like this they will need 10 years at the paste they are fixing things....and it seems like the more they try and fix this game, they just add new bugs and new issues.
If they did this correctly from start, this would have never happen. But its typical bioware. Shove the game out the door and worry bout it later. They never did any QA on this game, and it seems like we are the QA

I believe it is; I7 3,4ghz CPU with 8 GB Ram. The weak link seems to be the Video card.

Interesting.
Was a bit surprised myself with the high requirements of DAI; I used this PC to run ME3 on (mostly) high setings with no problems at all. I was expecting to be able to run DAI on Medium, or slightly lower. Not going to buy a new card myself as I'm not much of a gamer, and I've no other game that requises such in the horizon.Enjoy your new video card ![]()

Someone made those ghastly "design decisions" and I doubt that EA overlords got time and patience to handhold EAWare through entire development process. Supposedly DA2 was EAWare's own idea. I think that they said something along the lines of that they wanted to experiment. I suppose that you can guess yourself what kind of a company experiments on their customers instead of doing inside testing and charges full product price for it.
DAI's most jarring faults lie in fundamental design decisions, much as it was with DA2. Origins had its faults, but the general design of the game was coherent and executed with appropriate quality (except outdated graphics perhaps).
I wouldn't be surprised if EAWare's employees would prefer if their leads made more informed decisions which would lead to more focused tasks and less cutting in favor of more refining.

One last thing to remember, Origin offers a 24 h. refund, so you could give that a try (never tried it myself though)
