Interesting.

Was a bit surprised myself with the high requirements of DAI; I used this PC to run ME3 on (mostly) high setings with no problems at all. I was expecting to be able to run DAI on Medium, or slightly lower. Not going to buy a new card myself as I'm  not much of a gamer, and I've no other game that requises such in the horizon.

Enjoy your new video card :D

Thanks! :)

Bought Metal Gear Solid: Grounds Zeroes to test the thing, since I heard it looks great. Card doesn't even want to start heating up ^^ Hell, I need to test it on Dragon Age, but first I need to finally take that bath I usually get when I am back from work! Heh, this feels more like Christmas to me, than... well, Christmas! :D

So I guess we are definitely not seeing a Patch 3 surface until 2015, unless anyone has information we BSN'ers are not privvy to?

If nothing happens by Christmas, then probably nothing will happen until after New Year's.

However, they didn't say a thing about Patch 2 until a day before it dropped, so there's a small window of possibility something might happen before the 25th.

DAI just lost to Mordor for gamespot's GOTY 2014 voting, hopefully this will cause bioware to wake up instead of thinking consoles first over PC.

http://www.gamespot....-/1100-6423918/

I thought it was a fun game.  Glad to see D:OS won PC GOTY, and Mordor won GOTY for consoles, so it makes sense that would be the overall winner.

The new Nvidia driver has decreased my crash frequency dramatically.

For all DA:I's flaws I am having fun playing it.

It is my hope that they get the instability problems solved and patch-in some of the thing we would like.

First and foremost, a run/walk toggle. Yes we can play without it, but running through the palace just ain't right. ;)

Second, mouse-click to move. Disabled people want to play DA:I too BioWare.

Third, STORAGE! No storage chest BioWare? Really?

Fourth, companion AI/tactics. Fix it.

What you have now BioWare is inadequate and buggy. My companions decide they don't need to heal themselves and die regularly.

... and they will not stay where I tell them to.

That would be enough for me and I could blissfully sink many hours into DA:I.

It is entirely subjective I know, but I think of DA:I as the game DA2 should have been.

The story is engrossing and I don't mind the questing either.

In life, if I want the good stuff I have to work for it ...

The history. My goodness somebody put a lot of time and effort into that. Well done!

And the companion. I care about my companions again.

And of course the graphics are much better ... if your system can handle it.

If BioWare can/will patch these I have some hope that in future they will do better.

I do not expect to see more patching for DA:I than what I listed above, if that.

My personal wish list for the next release (yes, I do hope there is one) would be:

The return of Advanced Tactics. Yes I know this was a mod, but it was the best mod ever imo. Surely BioWare can imitate it.

The return of being able to initiate a conversation with your companions anywhere, any time.

Bigger maps with more reward(s) for sticking your nose into every secret corner.

More dialog story/options. I really wanted to have a long discussion with Roderick. For all his cynicism and distrust I think I could have swayed I'm.

 ... and just MORE.

This. and more.

Improved stats for the Flames of the Inquisition Armor.

Gear with stats that improves on level up.

Better spell and ability diversity for all classes.

Advanced specializations a little earlier in the game.

A way to change character appearance like in DA2 Black Emporium.

Oh, I do have one request that is actually rather trivial, but....:

Chestnut horses are redheads (like me). The Ferelden Forders at the Hinterlands are black-pointed bays. Please either find the proper dialogue for your horse "expert" or change the colour of the Forders. Bays and chestnuts not only look very different, they're genetically different (I can go into an indepth discussion of horse genetics and BB/Bb/CC genes to "prove" I'm not talking out of my rear if you like, but... google it. I couldn't be arsed). Bugs me every time he asks me to go and mount the "chestnut" outside.

Yes. That's the thing that finally drives me to teeth-gritty. It's like... that straw.

And please give the "deluxe" armoured pony his tail back. Lazy.

Solidarity, sister.  If there's one thing that breaks immersion for me in this game featuring demons, magic, and wotnot, it's the unforgivable horse gaffe.  Bioware - are you listening???

You are just oozing sincerity.  I can tell, because you couldn't possibly have missed the "rather trivial" right at the beginning of the post.  I'm terribly glad she found a like-minded horse-lover.

Me too. Unfortunately, it's the kind of fondness that involves guys from Brighton Beach showing up to my apartment at 2 AM carrying bats...

No, you had the right of it - I was taking the ******.  The whole proposition of thedas, like any work of fantastical imagination, depends on commonly understandable reference points to make it sensible.  So.  A horse is a horse.  If you use that descriptor.  But when you plumb further than that, into the minutia of it, then it just struck me as amusing.

Np :) One last thing to remember, Origin offers a 24 h. refund, so you could give that a try (never tried it myself though)

http://help.ea.com/e...-cancellations/

That is quite useful to know, thanks!

Here’s hoping I won’t have to use it.

Happy gaming! :)

Mass Effect 3, like the other two, was built on the Unreal Engine 3 and that is known to be very light on the system requirements.

I kind of wonder if Bioware should have stuck to their own Eclipse Engine for Inquisition instead of moving to Frostbite. Inquisition certainly looks better than Origins or Dragon Age II, but I don't really see anything that couldn't have been achieved with Eclipse.

Hell I would have happily given up some of the graphical shiny shiny to have the game made on a engine that Bioware know how to work with well.

You guys crack me up.

[Having said that, storytelling rule, mate: if you have no idea what you're talking about, avoid specifics so you don't break immersion. And isn't this franchise all about the story? ] ;)

/dry Aussie, currently attempting to repair that poor camel's spine.

Funny that Shadows of Mordor won. I just started playing it because i gave up on DA:I after 3 hours and was about to replay through KotOR2 again ( another neglected series from bioware and EA).

At least SoM is not trying to be something it's not. It's an action RPG and it does a fairly good job at it with a good story albeit short. This game didn't used to be and shouldn't be an action RPG.

Westwood was mentioned by someone. That's one more company and a good game series ruined by EA, command and conquer.... So sad. Even though I've been PC gaming for over twenty years now I never really noticed just how many franchises have been ruined, at least IMO, under EA..... Sigh.

Hate to burst your bubble, but KOTOR 2 wasn't made by EA/Bioware.  I was made by Obsidian Entertainment.

you didn't burst my bubble, that was my point.   The KotOR series, started by bioware and lucasarts, then handed off to Obsidian, while still published by lucasarts,  was a great series.   THEN EA came into the picture.....and that travesty star wars: the old republic MMO was created.  Why, because EA will do whatever it can to bleed as much money as it can out of it's series' by doing whatever it can to the game, such as turning it into an MMO.   I realize thats why they are in business, but if you go ruining too many of your big dollar franchises and drive off too many of your hardcore fan base then you'll end up closing these studios that once put oout amazing games before they got their hands on them.
