by that they probably a $10 dlc that has a chest or say that it's possible and spin why it's not possible, or by some miracle EA becomes generous and releases a free dlc that has storage chest

No, I think the reason has alot to do with their intentional change in healing and potion rationing.  I agree that it's likely frustrating, but they want you to play more cautiously.

The combat is a mess, I even preferred DA2 combat to this one! I'm playing a rogue and it's a total chaos, not fun at all!

Because that's a young man's game.

Laidlaw knows better.  Safer to cherry pick from the Twittershpere

Someone needs to get #DAI and #CONSOLEPORTFAIL or something like that trending together then.

Tac cam main issue is that it zooms out like, not at all.  To be tactical you need to be able to see the whole battlefield.  They need to jack the zoom out by 500%.  The second major issue I have with it is just the way it behaves in general.  Hold right mouse and move it around...it does not behave consistently.  Its definitely not a free floating camera, and that is exactly what it needs to be.

Edge  pan should also be added, and the tac cam should respect key bindings.  Right now it does not so that if you swap binding with Q and A and E and D, it works everywhere...except the tac cam.

maybe you should just lower the angle a bit. i have absolutely no problem with tactic mode (playing highest difficulty so its essential) by just not adamant a top view. sure in some rare cases the enviroment can be a problem, but would be the same with greater zoom levels because theres simple just more of it as in older titles.

Agree.  Dual Wield Rogue is my favorite type of character in an RPG.  Couldn't stick with it.  Controls and camera make it a nightmare to stay in melee range at all times, let alone in flanking position.  I restarted a 2H Warrior and a Mage...probably will go with the War for now, seems less dependent on the controls and camera as I just wade in and button mash.  Combat is very guild wars vs bots feeling (ie. not good).

Anyone follow the stock price of this company?

http://tinyurl.com/EA-Stock-Monthly

http://tinyurl.com/EA-Stock-at-Launch

On release. My question is will stock reach $44 again. October, the expected release month of DA3, had a steady climb. The climb continued raggedly until Friday as sales in other (non-English) markets took effect but quickly fell with a slight uptick at the close Friday.

Maybe as the stock falls below $40, headed toward $35, someone serious who understands communications will get on this. Of course, this means loss of sales as the negative word of mouth spreads (particularly in non-English markets) and more year end expense bites into DA3 profits. Kind of like a fireman putting out a kitchen grease fire on the Titanic, if you want my honest opinion.

And the longer it takes to patch up this game to play, the greater the unit sales margin drops. And then there is the push to move product and the trade promotions and the consumer promotions and the question: how low must the price be to convert sceptical consumers into customers.

I would have advised a delay in delivery of the PC version and come clean with the issues. That way my client could have focused on console market sales (patches and fixes) while also working quietly to get the PC up. I would like to think someone had the simple horse sense to so advise, but someone decided it would be better to sell the company into a loss position.

Next week should be interesting, wouldn't you agree Mr. Darrah?

I could not figure out how to put up the pictures from the URLs so maybe someone more savvy than me would do that for the convenience of other readers?

+1 for agreement

VERY VERY SHADY PRACTICE

I will watch the stock price for EA the next two weeks. This was their BIG game. Most anticipated game 2014. Gonna be like burning ants under that magnifying glass.

I'm not saying anything offensive, but if i have a dual core which is as strong as a quad core why shouldn't i be able to play a game. I would be more calm if i couldn't even start the game, instead it freezes after loading screen. I'm not profesional but itseams to me that there is some protection there or something that rejects duo cores. I mean it's stupid, if my PC can't suport that game then don't let me start it at all, or let me start it and let me be the one who will decide if that game is too much and will wreck my PC (which wouldn't happen anyway). But as i said i'm not a huge gamer or something, I just like their work and I wanted to give them my suport for it. And i still hold on to that cause i'm sure the game is fantastic, or at least will be when all is fixed. ;)

you dont understand the problem because the lack of knowledge how it works (no offence). the "power" of your cpu doesnt matter because its a matter of running multiple things at the same time, they have to be spread between the cores and it has to be timed to make it a whole again. i really dont think it would be better if you couldnt even start the game the result would be still the same.

It just might be me but it's pretty sad that the best games I've played this year were Kickstarter games. Only bought 2 AAA PC games this year. This and Watch Dogs, both are almost unplayable on the PC.

Unless they were working on a patch for the controls before the game was released I don't see them getting one out until late December, or early January. Because it looks like they will have to revamp the whole thing with a mouse and keyboard in mind.

I'm starting to get used to the controls now but they really do need to be improved.

The game itself looks great.

Damn, guys, it was not too tricky to make a real top-down camera like in all old school rpg's:

If you want to get the attention of Mike Laidlaw try his Twitter @Mike_Laidlaw and the hashtag #DA3Refund trending. He is cherry picking softball answers there.

I had to laugh because I had this message too. I guess it has to be attached somehow. I cannot be arsed to do it. But it is a good visual of the company struggling financially. The picture the lines make remind me exactly of a man trying to stay afloat on rough seas.

Not as bad as the vertical waves I expect that man to face in the coming days.

Being able to get to the main menu after the Bioware screen would be an improvement, What a mess! Hope it's fixed soon, if not I shall be getting a refund. SO disappointed after waiting over 2 years and this is what your loyal fans get? Disgraceful really, struggling to see how this got to the shelves at all! Very poor :-/

Totally agree. My dual-wield rogue wiped in the Apostate's Camp...on casual. I'm so embarrassed.

This is a great idea. I can't believe they charge $70 for a game that is completely unplayable, and refuse to give your money back.

Let's say "refuse" is too strong a word.

Based upon a few poster's comments on these forums citing their own experiences, I would more accurately say "wear down customers until after the refund deadline has passed."

I wouldn't say that. I asked for a refund, and they flat-out refused to give me one.

Then you are correct! It does not surprise me. It does disappoint me. You have my sincere condolences. Money is not cheap to print as it once was - just ask the Fed.

I am also playing a rogue and it is a mess, I have been playing my new game for about 6 hours and thinking on restarting with a mage. I am not dying or anything but it's not fun.

Has anyone thought of a Facebook campaign to get attention? On that thing you can share posts; post on DA's FB page; create a DA Customer (moral) Support Group Page... The benefit is that it will eventually spin into the media whereas posting on this forum will not. And posts can be deleted here too.... I have noticed.

This forum appears DEAD to Bioware.
