To Whom it may concern at Bioware:
I have been having on going and worsening issues, from Launch day, with this game.
I have been in contact with EA Tech Specialists, on numerous occasions trying to resolve these aforementioned issues.
EA Tech Support has been very understanding of my frustration, with this game.
EA Tech Support has been very supportive, in helping me "TRY" to find solutions.
Ea Tech Support has been very informative, and has helped with many suggestions, but they are limited.
EA Tech Support LACKS INFORMATION, and TOOLS to properly test, and troubleshoot, my issues,
(as well as those of thousands of other players). EA Tech Support cannot do their jobs, and are receiving
the brunt of the gaming communities' animosity, resentment, hostility, and abuse.
It is not their fault. Don't let them take the blame for Bioware's shortcomings and mistakes.
Please give the support technicians, the tools and whatever else they need so they can do their jobs.
Stop tying their hands behind their backs, and putting them in the front lines to be berated to death.
You have no idea what's Quality Test Department, right? You don't know what it has to do @work either.
You might want to enlist to Bioware then, as they're clearly sharing your thoughts.
P.S. I'm ready to help if I know how. Sad, but the Community Manager provides no information on that and I'm no techie to troubleshoot by myself.

Go to my post in Answer HQ.
and read the very first post.
after that, go to my other post,
@EA/Bioware - still beta testing the game for you
and read the very first post in that one.
then you'll kind of get an idea of everything i'm dealing with...
and everything I've put tech support through trying to resolve my issues.
I have not found a way to directly contact Bioware, I keep getting redirected back to EA.
If I could enlist the help of Bioware, and get some answers, I would.
Even if those answers aren't what I want to hear, they would still be answers, and I would grudgingly accept them.
Update from the PC Ongoing investigation thread on EAHQ
Poster is middlefngrsalute
"-Update Dec. 23, 2014-
""I spoke again to a tier 2 (Tech Specialist) [EA]. We have gone over and through every single idea, that they have at thier disposal,
for troubleshooting, and work arounds. At the end of a very lengthy conversation, which took place over multiple calls, uploaded
logs, reports, and verbally conveyed personal gaming experience, the rep stated that we have exhausted everything that they and I
can think of to narrow these issues down to a root cause. And unfortunately, with the lack of information that we are receiving,
from the studio, and not having the same tools, or developement software, we cannot resolve your issues. If your game is working
"somewhat", there is nothing further that we in tech support can do for you, until the studio releases more information, a patch,
update, or hotfix.
I just want to be very clear about this. Tech support has been very accomodating, polite, understanding, and very helpful! (at least they were to me). I have no complaints as to thier expertise, or knowledge. They only lack information from the developement studio.
The tech specialists have assured me that they will escellate my issues to the studio. Now, as to when and if I get any feedback, that is an unknown. However, my issues will be investigated further, as to why I am experiencing the mis/overallocation of resources, the flickering terrain, tress and grass, lag, crashes, audio bugs and mission glitches. "
Well.... That's not reassuring. Seems like we will see no improvements in short term.
Do you really expect them to provide every piece of DLC to you for free? Entitlement much? You may be under that impression due to your own preference, but whether you want to admit it or not many people enjoy the multiplayer experiences in Bioware games. You should be grateful that it is optional, and doesn't detract from the singleplayer experience in anyway unlike most IPs. If anything, as I mentioned, it helps as it gives them extra funds to put towards DLC.
Why when they can sufficiently obtain funds through optional multiplayer micro-transactions? Where have they given you any indication that they are heading in the hyperbolic direction you described above? I must admit some of the conspiracy theories in here are quite imaginative, I'll give you that.
Its become clear you have your head shoved so far up Bioware's butt that your licking it's tonsils,You honestly have no idea what your talking about so allow me to educate your stupid ass.
The reason MT's existed was to allow developers of F2P games to recoup their dev costs, not to be included in a $60 game, take a look at GTA V,Estimated Dev cost over 5yrs was $250,000,000 which included marketing costs,in the 1st week they made 1 Billion dollars in sales (enough to make 4 more GTA V size games and break even) and yet after GTA:O was released they added MT's in the form of Shark Cards,at the moment those Shark Cards were released the mission payouts where cut in half and half again at the same time costs of consumables like C4 and grenades increased substantially. They did it for 1 reason only and that was Greed.
So do everyone a favor and either pull your head out of Bioware's ass and grow a brain,or put a sock in it and go play this "perfect game" you keep blabbing about instead of blabbing in a thread that has nothing to do with you since you clearly think there is nothing wrong with this game.
Oh and NO I won't be grateful that yet another franchise has been bastardized by shoving a unwanted and unneeded MP mode to please those "everything must have MP and Zombies because pwaying wit ma fwends and Zombeeez is da Awesomzzzzzzz" so take the hint and take a hike.
Don't want to take sides here, but it's Christmas, we should really slow down with personal insults and name calling.
Merry Christmas, everybody!
Pity Bioware couldn't be bothered to ensure its customers had a working stable game for Christmas, personally I have zero tolerance for toadies and bootlickers like Jaron regardless of the time of the year.
Merry Christmas!
But seriously after it get to work, make controlling party on PC enjoyable!
It's funny to me how some people are treating one guy on the help forums who isn't even a BioWare employee as confirmation that there is serious "misallocation of resources" going on with the game. At best, this can be regarded as a rumor.

The long and short of it is that the the microtransaction model BioWare uses enables them to release the DLC packs for MP maps, weapons, and characters for free to all players. I haven't spent a dime on ME3 or DAI microtransactions, but I can still get those MP DLC packs for free. That seems like a good deal to me.
But saying all this doesn't mean I think it's a perfect game, nor does it mean I'm not allowed to discuss what people claim are issues with the game in this thread.

Well....it seems that i've been fooled by bioware....again. DA2 was the first game ever that made me nerdrage on forums. The second time was ME3. And here I am again....oh man....maybe third it a charm? The start of the game is beyond compreension, I sure hope the story gets better, but the intro is bad enough that I was thinking about leaving the game already, but I wanted to see the quests and the gameplay....and after 2h into the game, the controls just stopped me to even try anymore. Countless time i am just shooting the nowhere tactic camera is just...I dont have words for it. This is another punch in my face, and I have to understand that the bioware of old is dead. No interesting characters and story anymore, no more awesome PC games, just console games badly ported. Indie devs and Witcher 3 are my only hope in western RPGs of old.....what a sad conclusion dear god. I love DA:O SOOOO MUCH.....I'm hoping that with patches at least the gameplay is fixed, but its beyond me the whole lot of praise for this game (GOTY, LOL).

Inquisition's cast is my favorite of any BioWare game I've played, next to ME2's cast. That includes KOTOR.

I am totally with you man. I have said many times now, this will be my last EA/Bioware purchase unless they release a quality product, but everyone of their game series is just becoming homogenized action games. Pretty soon, ME and DA will be identical in control, form and function except for their story. That way they can essentially develp two games at once and just need different plots. I'm sure if they ever get around to releasing another KotoR, it will be the same thing. I can't get over oh they have wrecked 3 amazing game franchises for me.
I think the GotY thing is because there is a new breed of gamer out there. mostly these younger twitch based gamers (not grouping all of you into that category mind you), that just want twitch based gaming, MP, and MMOs and so thats what Bioware are moving toward with all of their franchises. It's a sad thing for me because up until ME3 and DA:I, and the old republic, all 3 of those franchises were some of my favorite games of ALL time. oh well, i've still got the witcher and the elder scrolls....
Inquisition's cast is my favorite of any BioWare game I've played, next to ME2's cast. That includes KOTOR.
If they can fix the controls, I will get back to play it and maybe I will agree with you. But lets be honest here....that intro? The way that those 3 first characters join your party? That was extremly lame.....but at least for now I will give the story the benefit of doubt....it can get better. But the PC controls are completly broken and that is a fact.

Except what your doing isn't discussion its a one sided "Bioware is awesome this game is perfect the issues people are having are figments of their imagination" statement, the bolded part of your last post makes this clear. their no room for interpretation these are big damn issues otherwise this thread would not be 326 Pages long and Mr Darrah would not be avoiding the thread he created while continuing to blab PR and Marketing Hype on Twitter.
And yes there was a serious mis-allocation of resources the state of the game on PC is evidence of that, its inherently obvious from the way the UI (and every pre launch livestream along with the "By PC Gamers for PC Gamers" video) is designed that the tools who made this game think every PC gamer uses a bloody controller. That's before you get to the MP which was not needed and does not belong in a RPG, in a MMO yes in what has always been a SP RPG franchise No.As a result time and resources were spent on a completely superfluous mode instead of making sure that the PC port was done correctly.

No, that's not what I'm saying. I acknowledge that people have problems running the game, sometimes quite severe. Stop being paranoid.
Xmas eve and what am I doing? Spamming "V" to find bloody hidden bottles!
I can see the point in Emerald Graves Knight instance at a stretch, but it has no meaning for the story whatsoever.
I think they ran out of ideas. Origins:Brecilian Forest had hidden treasure but you didn't have to spam a key to find it, you had to follow clues.
Can I turn the sonar off? I don't think so, might be useful somewhere somehow. Inquisition meets Where's Waldo? I have no words to show my distaste for some parts of this "game". Beam me up Scotty

It's like those hotdogs you eat, filler. ![]()
Hello here are my specs
Mac Pro
Intel Xeon E5 CPU 2.7GHZ 12 cores 30MB of L3 cache
64 GB of RAM DDR3 at 1866MHZ
1TB PCI flash storage
Dual AMD FirePro D700 6GB times 2
Sharp 32 inch 4K ultra HD LED monitor times 2
Running boot camp with Yosemite and Windows 7 64 Bit
No boot camp is not an emulator
Now this machine is the price of a nice car
It eats any new I7 or AMD latest gen out there and all those Titan cards for breakfast and poops out consoles every morning
With this monster machine that has all the latest drivers if I cannot get 100FPS or more this game will go in the garbage pile.
Guess I will find out tomorrow when I install it.
To prove that this game is a crappy port, I remember when DA2 came out and it was for both PC and Mac, funny this version is only for PC guess they could not be bothered to make a Mac version of it. But we can run both OS on the Mac.
I will let you know how it turns out, but no game out there can bring my machine to a crawl. This is the moster of machine. And do not require liquid cooling ad 27 fans.
I should be able to run this game everything cranked up to Ultra and more.
Merry Christmas all.
The driver support for FirePro is not the same as Radeon. You shouldn't be expecting to run games on it, it's a professional workstation card.
And no, the D700 has 2048 stream processors, which makes it the same as a Radeon 280X and behind a Geforce GTX Titan or a Radeon 290X.
Sorry SSV Enterprise
Boot camp has all the drivers and I have been running all kinds of games already Diablo 3 for example.
And with the Xeon CPU that makes you out to lunch
Educate yourself before you post insane comments
Boot camp doesn't change the fact that AMD does not support its FirePro graphics cards as gaming cards. You can run most games, but a game like DAI which is already finicky on cards optimized and programmed for games...I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work well.
Inquisition will certainly make good use of server processor lol, many cores much cache such wow
Call me ignorant, but isn't there a "cheat" or a "hack"....whatever you want to call it, that fixes the tac camera view?
I understand there are still a slew of additional problems, but the video I watched weeks ago of that camera "fix" seemed pretty slick.
my first post seems never get pass the mod?
anyway, people at Helix Mod came upon with a 3D vision + Surround + stability fix. SLI white fog is fixed, flickering is less present and the hard crashes are greatly reduced.
