I played games that mostly use the mouse (nwn) and games that mostly use wasd (wiz 8 - which I think by default used the arrow keys but can't remember); to wasd doesn't bother me - what bother me is keys suddenly doing other things like esc opening the console and right click open codex in the middle of combat.
Wizardry 8 is an FPP game essentially. The one, that originated from the genre that had the ability to jump from screen to screen using arrows that covered half your screen. North, South, East, West. ![]()
So I find the comparison funny, since DA is a TPP game where camera operation is essential.
PS: I'm not hating on Wiz8 here, god forbid. It is a WAY better game than DA:I. More or less, by infinity ![]()
PS2: I still agree, that keys changing functionality depending on situation is dumb, you got that right. It's just not the whole story here.
