Man I don't even care if they come in here and just say hi we haven't forgotten about you, why can't they just acknowledge us, once every 2 weeks or something shouldn't be that hard.

I guess as far as DA:I goes, I like it for what it is -- I hate it with a vengeance for what I was told it would be, but wasn't. insanity... could it be taking a marketing campaign more or less at face value, even though I've told myself I'd never do it again? I'm guilty on all counts it seems. lock me in a pillow lined room already.

Can't wait for Patch 3, it's going to be awesome to play with proper PC controls(heard so many great things about this game, and I'm loving all these awards!). Hope BioWare are well rested from their Holidays. =)

No rush, get it right, that's the most important part.

No rush

I had lots of interesting things to say this morning but I can't. I got the sads when I read the quoted interview above that mentioned Ultima. Yet another franchise EA destroyed.

"What's a Paladin?"

(Quote Courtesy of The Spoony Experiment's Ultima retrospective. Yes, this was the very start of my hate-hate relationship with EA Games, as well. /sigh ).

3 days until the 10th, Australian time, Mr Darrah. It's not a gift, really, given I paid my $90 to not get a feature that was alluded to the game already having when I bought it (tac combat just like DA:O's!!!). Still, it would be nice. It's only an autoattack for my melee chars I'm really thinking would be nice. Nonetheless, I shall keep my expectations low. Lower. Ground floor basement level. :D

Hey, if you're worried about dev complacency for this game on the PC side...?  Well, DA:I just won the People's Choice Award for Overall Game of the Year from Gamespot:

I dunno who voted for it, but I sure as hell didn't.  Kinda starting to think the fix is in, so to speak.  Not that I give Gamespot all that much in the way of overall cred.  This game is a busted-ass mess and it's winning awards.

Yeah, something's definitely rotten this side of Denmark.

Yeah, this thread is no longer about PC community concerns. It's now about hating BioWare and creating absurd conspiracy theories. Maybe that's why they don't post here anymore. This "community" has no respect for the developers. I'm sure some from this community would argue that BioWare already doesn't respect them, so why should they respect BioWare? Well, those people are just wrong. It's insane to believe that BioWare devs are sitting around laughing at you guys.

We can only repeat our concerns so many times before it becomes boring. Maybe if the devs would give us something new to discuss (hint hint), we could resume having productive discussions.

Also, I'm pretty sure they stopped posting long before the crazy conspiracy theories got going.

Well, why should we respect them? They failed to deliver on their claims, and have so far given us naught but empty words. If they want my respect, they have to earn it; fixing the controls and UI would go a long way towards that, but until then....

As an aside, I don't really care what they think of me in return. It's irrelevant.

I don't know what you or they were expecting to be the result instead? Eventually every thread devolves and spins without input from its creator.

Silence from up high is an excellent breeding ground for malcontent.

the thread is derailing cause bioware is not communicating, people are just posting the same problems over and over again, the last bioware communication was when patch 2 dropped, since then nothing... the thread would be better served if anybody on the development team communicated with the community, instead the only responses to any problem seems to be from twitter and even then most of the twitter are just backpatting at winning some may GOTY awards... there hasn't been any information about patch 3 or any future patchs in a long time. if devs provide new information or communicate, repeating the same concerns over and over again becomes useless, might aswell talk to a brick wall it will have the same effect

They're probably not posting because they can't guarantee that you'll get all the fixes that you want, and then you'll accuse them of deliberately trashing the PC version.

Actually, their lack of communication isn't new.  Anyone who plays (or has played) SWTOR is already very familiar with this behavior.

If you were here when there was communication (like in the beginning or when patch 2 was announced) you would have noticed how relatively quiet it was, no sh-tstorm or pages after pages of Bioware bashing.  It's the silence that's p-ssing people off and rightly so.

Assumption but quite probably true. They would at least be buying time with me. Fostering some semblance of communication would be nice.

While I disagree with some of the vitriol, and certainly don't condone it, is it not obvious why it's so prevalent?

People don't like being ignored. Sure, if you ignore someone for long enough they'll give up...is this what Bioware is wanting us all to do? Because if that is the case, they'd best not espouse notions of listening to their community or expect huge commercial successes in the future.

Building trust between publisher/corporation and consumer is an invaluable business tool, and Bioware isn't using it to their advantage -- more fool them, I guess.
