I'm afraid I don't.

As others have pointed out in this thread, Bioware are communicating over Twitter and other social media, yet can not find the time to post here?

It's that fact that is draining people's patience. Why are Bioware not posting on their own official forum when they are willing to communicate elsewhere.

give you that, dont understand the love for twitter and abandon their own game forums myself (and its not only bioware). but because every twitter post finds it way to bsn pretty fast anyway its not such a big deal. its really not a good kind of behaviour, but you get all informations from twitter here too so basically it makes no difference.

This has been known since 2010, Bioware stated that they don't look at their official forums for feedback/fan response but others, specifically naming reddit. I'd link the quote, but I don't really feel like digging it up. So if you feel you aren't being heard here, head there as that's one of their preferred hubs. If you've joined within the last year or so, then you probably wouldn't know. But those who've been with the BSN back when it was the BSN, this is nothing new. Rather than complain about the communication outlet they prefer, why don't you try using them to get your point across rather than waiting here for an answer that most likely isn't going to come?

I don't know because some people don't like be manipulated? Preferred methods of communication can go touch themselves as far as I'm concerned. Game finished, done for. consumer trust destroyed. in one night.  Now I like to talk with people on forums.  a little like.....you?

stephen totilo is a joke, when he wants kotaku to be taken seriously then the writers on staff journalists, but when bad sh*t hits the fan then all a sudden thier bloggers, he has no journalist intergrity, which funny because he is only one on kotaku's staff with a masters in journalism

Please explain what you disagree with in his article, since, according to you, he is a joke.

Made a quote! You know when Hawke and Bethany get to Kirkwall? In Galen's house, "Galen couldn't say good morning without lying twice"

I referenced the honorable Mr Laidlaw. No No, not ok. One warning. No Bioware response for a month but I get a warning for that.

I've seen 10 times worse on this forum!! Absolutely pathetic.

It's insane to believe that BioWare devs are sitting around laughing at you guys.

I agree that they are not laughing. But, all this vitriol can be attributed to hyped PR, as far as the hard core fans is concerned.

What was promised, wasn't. Major play broblems at launch, across all platforms, added gasoline to the fire. The awful PC interface with the removal of expected improved combat mechanics, didn't help. The old gen players are not happy either.

Notice, if you will, that berween Patch 1 and Patch 2, Bioware was all over the place, attempting to find a solution. Why? Because they found the problems quite serious. Post patch 2, the serious problems are gone.

Now, the attitude is the "game works as designed".

If you were here when there was communication (like in the beginning or when patch 2 was announced) you would have noticed how relatively quiet it was, no sh-tstorm or pages after pages of Bioware bashing.  It's the silence that's p-ssing people off and rightly so.

Yeah, but wait until ME4 marketing ramps up.....

Maybe we can always ask about DAI in the ME4 Forums...  In other words.. asking why we should believe them.

You shouldn't. I'm not going to buy any of bioware new games until I read tons of reviews (peolpe's, not these corrupt journal's), watch plenty of gameplay from youtube and probably download it from trackers to see if it even launches on my PC first.

They're probably not posting because they can't guarantee that you'll get all the fixes that you want, and then you'll accuse them of deliberately trashing the PC version.

I would be surprised if the dev teams are NOT assessing the work involved in improving the PC interfaces and come up with what can and cannot be done, within a "reasonable" budget and time frame.

Besides, if the analysis phase is incomplete, they have nothing to add to the original Patch 3 statement. Can you image what will happen if a premature announcement is made and it turns out that it cannot/will not be done?

No, the best course of action, for them, is to confirm that Patch 3 is being assessed.

Doubt it for one thing it's not gamespot GOTY which shadows of mordor won.

hmm... is Shadows that good?

I'd be a lot happier with this game if I could play it in full screen mode without critical dx errors popping up, and a walk toggle would be nice too. it's funny, when I was doing my first play-through, I was a bit disappointed... though I guess I felt ok with the game (other than the fact that I felt like I didn't get my $70 worth), after that with each PT I've done (4 in total atm), I find myself being just a little bit angrier & a bit more resentful with bioware. I guess I was so thrilled to play a qunari in my first play-through, & that was enough to keep me content for a while... though it seems the buff has worn off. guess I need to start another qunari run next.

You did 4 Playthroughs with critical DX errors popping up and are about to do another?

What hdw do you have?

You had to scroll down a tad.  Should have mentioned some modicum of effort would have been required.  DA:I won overall GOTY.  Hence Bioware crowing on Facebook about winning it.

They stick to twitter because people only get about 15 words to complain about stuff.

You can't expect such people to react perfectly calmly to someone 'intruding' on a thread dedicated to 'Pc community concerns'...

Especially hard core gamers who feel shafted!

  • I recently downloaded FFXIV for the PC
  • It was released over 4 years ago
  • It was released on next gen consoles as well as PC
  • If I press my left mouse button and my right mouse button simultaneously my character begins to locomote
  • Amazing

Ahhh.... but do you have something called JUMP?  'cause apparently, in DAI, it is a key factor in preventing improvements in the PC platform.

Good post though... I need to look at FF XIV....

The Bioware devs sure are a....sensitive bunch of people.

Reddit has very strict etiquette and behavioural rules and you can't dare say anything against DAI on there, which is of course why they would prefer to hang out there, sporting their rose-colored glasses.

This is all starting to feel so utterly pointless. If Bioware had any intention of fixing their game and making it a truly GOTY worthy title, they would have been grateful for the feedback we offer here.

But I imagine them huddling together in the office re-assuring one another that no matter what those nasty fans say, they did a great job and every Friday everyone gets a treat.

But (me and many others) not buying their games again....there's something they can't ignore!

Shadows is great and do no try to fool you. You get what you expect and its great indeed. A Assassins Creed (the good parts of it) meets Batman Arkham Asylum in Mordor full with battles like Peter Jackson LOTR. Fine by me.

Question: The 1-3 focus bars that build up (another action-oriented feature I hate) when killing enemies, can that be hidden permanently?

^ Yes, remove the focus abilities from your hotbar. Personally I never use focus abilities, found it to be a "cheat option". I went through the game without it on nightmare.

Also how do you play with your spirit blade on the 8 key? I use it on the Q key, with fade cloak on E key on my KE.

I know it is not a Bioware only thing. Microsoft for example don't use the official Xbox forum either. Yet this is what puzzles me. Why?

Don't get me wrong I understand that the immediate nature of Twitter and the like gets information out quickly but would it really take up too much of their time to repost that information here? It shouldn't be up to the users of the forum to do the job of Bioware staff.

I also find it hard to believe that they have greater control over 'toxic' posters on third party sites than they do here.

Nope, not unless you can find a mod that does it.

Reminds me....the PC Controller Ability thingy neatly hides away when not in battle, but the KB&M hotbar is static.

Would have been nice if the KB&M interface was implemented less half-heartedly...

How do you get the Knight Enchanter tree for the Inquisitor? Believe me when I say that I tried to get what the mage trainer wanted but gave up as a waste of my time...

The locations of what you need should be in your journal, once you have it, go to the requisitions table and make your "spirit blade hilt", then go back to your trainer and she'll give you the spec. Then go to the undercroft and respec.

You do know that it was Bioware who started this thread, right? With the express purpose of collecting feedback?

I'm pretty sure they're looking here. The problem is that looking is all that they're doing.
